@@sicotshit7068 I love them, but musically, Cream was, well the Cream--they had the BEST rhythm section with Jack Bruce on bass--a classically trained cellist who became a great jazz bassist and the mighty Ginger Baker, another jazz musician who could play anything and could compose, arrange, etc. Oh they also had Eric, BTW. No need to compete, they were different kinds of bands. Cream played long jazz-like extended improvisations on their songs in concert, Zep did a little of it, but really had their own thing with the mix of blues, English and Celtic folk, etc. Apples and Oranges except that they loved blues.

The venue was the O2 arena in London which held 20,000 people--when the concert was announced there were over 20 MILLION requests for the tickets--after 27 years of not playing together--that's how big Led Zeppelin was/is.

Dazed and Confused was written by Jake Holmes in 1967.
Heard by the Yardbirds' drummer and brought to the attention of the group, Jimmy Page reworked the song which became a staple of the Yardbirds' tours. In '68, Page would again rework the song and record it with his new band, Led Zeppelin. In 2010, Holmes sued Led Zep to get credit and having further releases changed to "Jimmy Page, inspired by Jake Holmes".

What I would sincerely like for you young men to take away from this is that this music, and all of the great rock/blues-rock/prog-rock was "our" music only in the sense that it came out when we were young and so have lots of sense memories associated with it (and love it), BUT, this music is for everyone--not just middle class white boys from the late 60s through the 70s. You really can’t go wrong with Led Zeppelin, it’s harder to pick the order of all the song you love. When it comes to live performances, there certain songs at certain concert I really love, not that any are bad. Every time they do a concert, the same song will never sound the same twice, because the add & change it up. What’s really amazing, these guys were only playing together about 2 months, when this debut album was recorded. Drummer John Bonham, was only playing drums about 5 years. The first two albums are mainly Blues Rock, with some Blues Rock songs on others. PLEASE react more often to Led Zeppelin, you won’t be disappointed.

Olli's take on an argument is crazy. I've listened to this 100 times and never thought of that. So cool to have a fresh take. There is Soooooo much call and response throughout. Including the part with guitar and vocal together while bass and drums going back and forth.

Great interpretation! Two of Led Zeppelin's finest creations are "Nobody's Fault but Mine" (Studio version) and "Since I've been Loving You." (Studio version)

I remember sitting on my bedroom floor listening to this album for the first time. Dazed was the last song on side one. When it was over I just stared at the runout groove with my mind totally blown. I had a really great older sister who was into hard rock and turned me onto all the great bands. I miss her every day. 🏄‍♂️

I saw Led Zeppelin perform this song in concert in 1969 and 1970. They are electrifying in person.

What’s amazing about this song is that the lyrical part is essentially a delta blues song, then it’s a head music break, then it’s a distorted jazz guitar run, then it all comes together at the end somehow. I love these videos as someone who grew up in Zeppelin I live that these make me think about the music again.

I'm 58 one of the best bands ever next to rush,,, but I'm a drummer and by far my favorite drummer next to Neil Peart from Rush
