You have some beautiful feathers! I love to go feather hunting at the lake. I once found a red tail hawk feather! It’s one of my most treasured possessions. Anyway, thanks for the lovely video. Blessings...

Such a beautiful collection of feathers! With all the birds around here, one would think I would find plenty, but I never do, lol.

The most amazing thing happened today after watching your video.
Some time ago I found a beautiful heron feather that I believe was ment for me to find. And today, after watching your video, I was thinking about that feather as I was walking to lunch. On the way back from my lunch I found another heron feather. I live in the city and pigeons and crows are most often seen, definitely not herons.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Wow, I live in a place where I should be able to find heron and egret feathers, but never do. That’s incredible!

I love the big ass one ;) All of them are so so beautiful! I haven't utilized feathers in practice but, I always run across them when I'm out places.

Thanks for this. I collect feathers in nature. Where did you learn the symbolic meaning of each bird feather ?

    • @ShewhowalksbetweentheWorlds

Mostly research online. When I can’t find magical correspondences for something I want to work with I look into traditional symbolism or what the item is made of to discern how to use it.

She who walks between the Worlds . Doh of course, I must be brain frazzled, magical correspondence to the bird in general not just specific to the feather. Sometimes i wonder about myself! Ima gonna make something with my spotted woodpecker feathers. Thanks again.

I have 2 that I've found over the past 8 years....I have no idea why, but Feathers NEVER cross my path....I never find them lying on the ground.

I seem to have bad luck finding feathers

How do you go about cleaning them? I have some crow feathers that crossed my path last year that I have kept in a sealed bag because I have NO idea how to properly clean them.

There’s more than one way. Typically I use a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. I soak the feathers for several hours then let them air dry. You can also use a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and alcohol.
Starlight Spellsinger has a video on it too if you wanna check it out.

      Firstly thank you for watching!
I don’t know anything about pigeon feathers, but it is fairly easy to figure out what the properties would be. Just doing a few quick Google searches about what they represent in different cultures will tell you a lot. Off the top of my head I’d say they may be good for communication and safe travel since pigeons have a long history of being carriers.
      Happy hunting!

    What about scrub jay feathers?

    • @ShewhowalksbetweentheWorlds
      @ShewhowalksbetweentheWorlds  3 года назад

Unfortunately I only know the properties of the feathers I own and work with and scrub jay is not one of them. But if you really want to incorporate them into your magick you have two options as I see it. You could use them in accordance with their general properties ( i.e. Air and it’s correspondences) or you could search the internet for information on any symbolism the birds themselves may have or look into the birds behaviors and figure out what the properties of their feathers are likely to be ( i.e. loyalty, aggression etc.). I use these methods to figure out the magickal properties of all manner of things for my personal practice.
Sorry I don’t have more definitive answers, but good luck and happy hunting if you choose to search them out.
