@@Chonus Listen I know it's really shaking up the meta right now, but I think it's just hype. Prices for cards with Honse are already going down only a day later.
To summarize the build: get the Prismari Performance precon, slot Ovika in as commander. As a bonus, you get Veyran, which doubles cast triggers on instants or sorceries, so you get double goblins on that deal. Another reasonable include is Arcane Bombardment. Once you get it going, your spells can flood the board with goblins, and the stuff you exile with the bombardment can wreck your opponents. Balmor, Battlemage Captain is also a good inclusion since he will pump your goblins and give them trample on each instant or sorcery cast.
Thank you for this! Was building a deck watching a bunch of videos and this literally gave me a ton of cards I already had at a cheaper price. Building blocks baby, building blocks!
If it weren’t for the mana cost, I might expect to see this in classic Izzet builds. But then again, Izzet can also generate a TON of treasure tokens in short order, so maybe this card will be more popular than I’m assuming. Wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong.
Yesterday I just started making an Ovika deck but I took from inspiration from a video I saw and instead made it an enchantress deck. It works amazingly well especially once you get Invasion of Segovia to flip and now all your goblins are free mana to cast more noncreatures that will get you more goblins. Being able to cast shared animosity and making three goblins and swinging with 15 power (including commander) is pretty intense. Especially with removal that feels more permanent of putting things under enchantments it just feels more dependable
Did I miss it or did you forget to mention Skirk Prospector? He does sound like a must in this deck, especially if you find a way to recast your spells...
Lots of aura enchants that can bounce themselves or return to hand on death trigger, ghitu firebreathing and fools demise go infinite as well as like 30 other cards, goes infinite batterskull
Slotting this into my Brudiclad deck. Having 5 Ovikas and then casting some big cmc spell and then swinging with a load of 6/6 ovikas is going to be terrifying.
I would probably shove like 20 mana rocks into this deck; Because as much as there are better spells to throw out, mana rocks are never bad. At their best they get your commander out faster, and once Ovika is out, each mana rock gets you more goblins. Basically you can shove in card draw, mana ramp, and protection, and that's the deck.
I wonder if this would fit in with Hinata decks since you’re likely playing large X spells. Seems like this would be a good finisher after tapping your opponent’s creatures.
I can make this the commander of my muxus deck. Throw in some red blue x spells, some goblin synergies and boom you got a board state (that you can protect w/ blue) and beat faces with goblins that are compleated all will be one
This isn't a Spellslinger deck. This is a GOBLIN SPELLSLINGER deck! A lot of cards care about goblins, and a lot more want to sacrifice those little buggers. Skirk Prospector, for example, turns gobbos into treasures. Get 5 goblins for a 5 mana spell. Make 5 mana by sacrificing the goblins! Profit? Lets storm away.
Correct way to play is with enchantment that bounce themselves to hand or go back to hand on a death trigger, also goes infinite with batterskull, ive been brewing hard, I think this cmdr is busted and wins turn 4 or 5 constantly

And then combine that with Magnus the red You have a filthy combo of tapping them for Mana and then reducing the cost of Mana on top of that period further in your game plan. Volcanic eruption anyone? Is or temporal fissure is another option.
Extra turn spell and sacrifice goblins for mana storm get some extra damage in with attacking because of haste just a cool storm and just crazy out of nowhere kills fun good times. Just need some good ramp and treasure to get it out while it'll be good.
This looks like a good design. High mana value commander that encourages playing high mana value spells, and though it severely taxes targeted removal it isn't boring hexproof/shroud uninteractable bullshit.
i actually just built this deck using only cards i already owned, so the only card i need to buy is the commander. I ended up putting a huge emphasis on mana rocks and draw spells. Those will both help propell me forward quickly to help me keep up with everyone else, but also they will never be a dead draw late game cause at worst i can throw down some mana rocks to make more goblins
Great minds think alike. I built mine with the same foundation. With a good amount of x spells and an Ashnod's Altar, you can play some really scary turns. Also built in mill as an alternate wincon for those times I come across decks that prevent/reduce combat damage, interact a lot with board wipes, or go wide enough to keep up with my goblins. Altar of the Brood is so good.

Brothers war was a lot of fun. Probably my fav set in last few years. Good reprints, fun sealed and draft format, some great commander new cards. Feels powerful without being broken.
1 fav deck I got is my 9 Fingers deck: ward pay 9 life. It's a voltron with gates being a alt win sub theme. But I've smacked people with her for 12 double strike. When people target her I asked 'you pay the 9?' They do I just nod and tap 2 and counter their spell. I remove a removal spell and make then pay almost 1/4 of their life.
Coat of arms will make 5 haste goblins off the cast… which become minimum 6/6s. But likely you’ll make a few more, and even 10 11/11 haste goblins will win games out of nowhere. Coat of arms seems akin to surge to victory in that it’ll just win you the game. Imo this is the proper power level a 7 cost commander should have.
Irenicus's Vile Duplication is an auto include in a deck with this guy. Who needs access to green and white for token doubling when you can just double your token generator...
I think he's a bit overblown. Nice ability, but you have to resolve a MV 7 *and then* have stuff to do afterwards. Ward is nice but by the time the MV 7 hits, they can pay the 3+3 ward. So you're just getting a lightning bolt for your 5UR cast, unless you happen to have a FOW type counter.
I think this will be great in the 99 of Lucia Cane , that decks all about casting huge X spells , getting x hasty gobbos on top of that seems amazing . Plus it’s in green so you can hit that 7 mana easier , plus imagine this with great henge , if that’s your only creature you pay 3 , make 9 goblins , then you immediately get 2 of that mana back to cast another spell .
it’s pretty expensive, but I feel like braid of fire would be great with this commander. braid of fire is just great in general if you have a bunch of instants, but in this case it can sometimes just cast a crazy cmc spell for effectively nothing.
