Unregulated Psyckers! Emperor help the poor people of this galaxy! They always succumb in the end, you know. No matter their conditioning, without The Emperor's blessing , chaos always wins. Poor souls! They end up possessed, or worse, daemon hosts. Its a foolish foolish thing they do. The powers of the warp are not safe, not friendly, and without His intervention, always get what they want. Pain ,suffering , terror , horror, these are the things they need. its what sustains them, this side of the veil. The real tragedy is ,most are not neverborn. Sapients or some sort or another, that got trapped. This is what the warp does to a soul. It is why we destroy them. Not out of malice, as the uninitiated think, out of pity! Knowing their fate, how can we not pity them? What kind of monster , would deny them the final rest of oblivion?
to answer your last question; Servants of Chaos, Emperor thrice damn them, would deny them the final rest of oblivion as they attempt to use them to their own ends... like that one "inquisitor" in Eisenhorn: Xenos who tried to use Cherubael against Eisenhorn
@@madnimrod2489 I'm good with that. Just finished B5. Loved it. I will say I've watched Firefly multiple times, & expect to watch it a few more. As much as I loved B5, I can't say for sure I'll rewatch it. Granted, the (part of) 1 season vs 5 makes a difference, as does having just finished B5 a couple of months ago. (& of course there is the legitimate question of whether Firefly could have maintained its excellence over 5 seasons)
Greetings, Mentlegent! For the Rhyhtm that is Algo I feel like the part of the story is missing. At first I thought the killings were going to be a cultural misunderstanding. I get that she was a criminal, but there was no explanation of how and why she and her husband were so horrible and responsible for so many deaths. I know this sort of thing is often a problem with short stories, but here it is glaring.
Ah another psy corps type that tend to be worse than the "villains" they fight. Assassin droids are the way to go. No fear and no thoughts, just a target and a mission.
Assassin Droids require Abominable Intelligence... better to use a member of the various Clades of the Officio Assassinorum... May I suggest one of Clade Callidus or perhaps one of Clade Vindicare?
This one makes no sense to me in how she isn't deemed insane by human standards. Even if its not our species we tend to understand crimes committed as crimes. Killing 96 people is insane.
In a legal sense insanity can be hard to prove and to be quite frank I very much doubt how sane she was would have mattered the outcome would have been the same
It sounds like Mrs Wu spent too much time fighting the Beast and not enough time maintaining her own Humanity.
The aliens who had to deal with her were damn good all things considered they got her contained fast given what she'd done...I feel for them.
Mr. Holland seems like a PsyCorp member on steroids. Bester would be proud.
More like an Inquisitor the likes of Gregor Eisenhorn or perhaps even Gideon Ravenor
A man with taste and an eye for quality sci-fi.
I think even Bester would be intimidated. Or fall in love with him.
The core is mother the core is father
@@markuhler2664 you might be right.
Yeah, Psi-Cops tend to be like that, especially those of the Teek variety.
Wow, the #1 is some grim stuff
Well, seems Space CIA is just as terrifying as their ancestors.
Damn, space CIA got hands

Assuming it's the 40k universe. Pokemon is basically nothing but psykers depending how u look at it.
My bad if im missing a joke.
Oh this is a good one. Very well done to the author!
Not sure what to think of this. The scenes are great but it seems more of part of a story.
Let us use this opportunity to advocate for:
-[Xeno Ant Actors]
…
Accompanying Space Modular Themed Ant/Insect Colonization…
Ants are one of the Species on Earth that make Humanity look peaceful by comparison.
Let the punishment fit the crimes.
I believe the correct term for Mrs Wu’s untimely departure via execution would be called…..Liquidation… 😏
I can tell I would have enjoyed it a lot if I had understood it.
The agent that came is a telepath
When the government is just absolutely done with your shit, they send a man like Holland.
Today, we call them lawyers.
They always talk, and the burn.
The Psy Corps is both Mother and Father.
Babylon 5. Best sci- fi series.
@@madnimrod2489 2nd best. Firefly still beats it.
@@markuhler2664 in my opinion, Firefly could have beaten it if it were allowed to finish.

I completely agree. That lack of detail kept me from understanding until the end that we weren't supposed to like or root for her.

Insanity means a lack of control in committing the act, not the nature of the act itself.
@@jameson1239 True enough. The story did feel confusing overall but I think that might be because I don't know the world building behind it.

torture doesn’t work, ppl just lie
It can work, it just has a high rate of lying as well.
Worse, you can't tell when they're *not* lying. Makes it utterly pointless as an intelligence gathering technique.
It works just fine if you treat what they give up as just clues. There will be bits of truth in there.
un like mas al video para unos nice 69
