I didn't want to have to clean pads so I went with the Eufy that's vacuum only. It has LIDAR, a great app, the unit is easy to maintain, and I absolutely love it. I have it do my first floor which is mostly laminate flooring with one small carpeted bedroom/office daily M-F while I'm at work and I give it a manual clean command when I go upstairs for bed on the weekends (it's not predictable enough to schedule).
I really love how your experiment with seasonsing the vacuum’s ability to pick up messes! I’ve never tried a dual-function vacuum before, but the concept seems brilliant! My dogs bring so much sand home from the beach, and I feel like I’m always vacuuming instead of enjoying my time. The camera feature is such a cool addition; I could definitely use one of these! Plus, the mopping function leaves the floors spotless-it's incredible! Wishing you a fantastic weekend!
Completely understand the mental hump part and being one step closer to complete automation. I literally just bought my first Robot vacuum today and from my point of view I find it hard to justify paying 120$ more (which is about 40% of initial price) just to get that function even though I would love that feature…
My first robot was an irobot i8 + that could not map or clean my tiny 75sq meters apartment. Exchanged it for a roborock q8 max+ and the difference is stunning!
My apartment has 85 squared meters (900 sq ft). I divided that area in 3 parts of approximately the same size. I wash the mop after each part ends. When the dust bag fills, I empty it on the bin and it is ready to use again. My robot's manual says the dust bag can hold 2 month of dirty between replacements, but if you empty it periodically it can last years. For the other parts I don't know yet, because I am new to this robot cleaning stuff.
I have a basic g32 pro from eufy, It doesnt use lidar but still does a pretty good job at mapping my place with what ever sensors it uses, Its not anywhere near as good or efficient as a lidar unit but it still will in the end will pretty much get every spot.
I would add that if you have a 2 story (or more) home, make sure the robot can learn multiple maps. My Eufy can do this; my Shark can not and it is annoying.
I'd like to add. Clean the robot. Take off the roller, the little side bristle and the tiny wheel. Hair gets stuck in there. The motor can burn itself out because it can't spin but will try too. Clean the dust bin and water bin and the dust filter too.
question, how do you usually get rid of your old robot vacuums? I want to move from irobot to something else but seems like the only option is fb marketplace or is there anything that is more of a trade in program?
Thanks! Im in a condo, ~1500sqt, 2 bed rooms are with carpet, rest are hardwood, I also have a dog, which robot vacuum/mop combo would you recommend? I currently have a pretty basic robot vacuum but find it hard to clean and untangle the pet fur.
p. I have my robot cleaning the house twice per week for the last three weeks. Do you know how often we have to perform maintenance in certain parts? for example cleaning the dust bin or washing the mop?
if you choose a model with mopping (I recommend). Do not do the entire house in one go. The mop will get dirty and the device will drag the filthy mop across your house. In that case, mop every two rooms, wash the mop and continue. Your house will thank you.
Over a decade of experience using bots and I agree with everything here. Except the part where you have to deep clean your house first. Have the peasants do it for you or your SO.
Do not expect any of these robot vacuums to do a deep cleaning. They are for cleaning maintenance. If your place is a pigsty as mine was, hire a company to do a deep cleaning for you (or do it yourself) and then get a robot to keep it clean for you.
I would buy a top notch roborock or Eufy today. If I am not mistaken, these machines have poop detector, something someone would a pet will need. Check Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, Eufy x10 or soemthing simialr
? a friend likes the Eufyi do have a lot of stuff it would have to navigate around i worry it will get stuck all of the time i also have speaker wires (cause i appreciate good sound :)
Shark robot vacuum refuses to do individual rooms despite me remapping and meticulously labeling rooms in the Shark app. It's incredibly frustrating and I cannot recommend a Shark robot vacuum because of that specifically.

Eufy is a solid company!
I just got mine, and honestly, the carpet detection works really great! No more getting stuck!
Wow, this robot vacuum is a game changer! I love how it self-empty! So convenient 🤩

I had some issues with the setup, but customer service was helpful and got me sorted out!
I was skeptical at first, but the eufy X10 is legit! Wish I could give it 10 stars!! 🌟🌟
Just wanted to say thank you as someone looking to make their first purchase

This is the quality! Watching in one breath, thank you! 💚🍓

Can’t believe how well it mops too! My floors have nevr been so clean!

The suction is crazy strong! I didn’t think it would do such a good job on my pet hair. 🐶
it's a quality of life improvement. I had one model for about two years that requires me to empty it manually after each run. Wasn't that bad.
Yes literally none of these tips matter in the slightest if you buy a Eufy. They are hands down the best vacuum mopping robot I have ever had
I would add that if you have a 2 story (or more) home, make sure the robot can learn multiple maps. My Eufy can do this; my Shark can not and it is annoying.
I just bought a ton of spare mopping pads and change after each zone. Throw them all in the washing machine once a week.
the Q Revo has settings to wash the mop automatically or you can use the app to wash the mop

I have to agree to that... haha, I hate cleaning the house myself
Spend the money to get a model with a self emptying bin. Completely worth the extra cost.
The self-refilling feature is super cool but I wish it was quicker!
The black friday sale is impressive.
question, how do you usually get rid of your old robot vacuums? I want to move from irobot to something else but seems like the only option is fb marketplace or is there anything that is more of a trade in program?
Kinda wish the mopping was a bit better, but it’s still way easier than doing it myself!
Thanks! Im in a condo, ~1500sqt, 2 bed rooms are with carpet, rest are hardwood, I also have a dog, which robot vacuum/mop combo would you recommend? I currently have a pretty basic robot vacuum but find it hard to clean and untangle the pet fur.
how do you empty dust bag effectively? I would like to reuse it if possible but do you just dump stuff inside to the bin or something?
How often does this clean the mops? SOmetimes that seems to take up too much time before cleaning.
p. I have my robot cleaning the house twice per week for the last three weeks. Do you know how often we have to perform maintenance in certain parts? for example cleaning the dust bin or washing the mop?
How does this compare to the Dreame vacuum that you reviewed?
Are these vacuums useful if you have kids that have constantly moving obstacles(tables chairs) and objects(small and medium sized toys)?
if you choose a model with mopping (I recommend). Do not do the entire house in one go. The mop will get dirty and the device will drag the filthy mop across your house. In that case, mop every two rooms, wash the mop and continue. Your house will thank you.
is there a name you would;d suggest based speed?
Over a decade of experience using bots and I agree with everything here. Except the part where you have to deep clean your house first. Have the peasants do it for you or your SO.
Some robots do not work well with wifi-extenders. Does this?
My area doesn’t have good WiFi, will that be a problem ?
Not bad for a robot vacuum
Do not expect any of these robot vacuums to do a deep cleaning. They are for cleaning maintenance. If your place is a pigsty as mine was, hire a company to do a deep cleaning for you (or do it yourself) and then get a robot to keep it clean for you.
Buying now thatnks

It’s amazing how it knows where to go and where not to go. AI is the future, folks!
You still need to clean the brush head once a week
Shark robot vacuum refuses to do individual rooms despite me remapping and meticulously labeling rooms in the Shark app. It's incredibly frustrating and I cannot recommend a Shark robot vacuum because of that specifically.
How come it’s such a big deal? 🤔
If you want to save money, do not throw the dust bag in the garbage when it is fill. Just empty its contents in the garbage and it will last ages.
I feel like Eufy doesnt really do a good job with stuff like seasoning
If you need to hire a company for a deep cleaning action then you definitely have different problems than thinking about a robot vacuum.
4:23 Wastes $300 in expensive seasoning. LOL
Find a robot vacuum that can map FIRST then clean. Ecovac's/Deebot/Ozmo's do NOT do this. It's incredibly infuriating.
I can't fathom being so lazy I would buy some half-baked, overpriced piece of tech like a robo vacuum.
I just purchased second wife instead
Is it only me or does anyone else think the auto washing is a bit loud? Still love it tho! 🧹❤️
