Now, the networked amp is probably the most significant thing in this video for most people. Is there any chance it can be paired with Unifi Talk to do paging, and what streaming services can be connected along with licensing music for commercial spaces? Also, when is the networked "cast" device to send a screen or video directly from a phone or laptop to an HDMI input?
Its pretty good right now. Read only at the moment so really just a nice way to present information such as a dashboard. Could be useful as an “eye in the sky” web app that shows health and status of all of your Unifi sites. Im excited to see what 3rd party integrations spring out of it!
Please please please have specific camera ZONES as a Trigger. I’d like to have events for when people get close and alarms if they enter an area. It absolutely shouldn’t be reliant on the motion/smart event splits or having another camera just for that purpose

Excellent! Does the ProAV Dante port setting have updates for POE as well? Meaning any energy saving and sleep modes are disabled? We found that Dante devices lose connectivity when not used for a while and required frequent restarts.
I'd rather see them work with proven offerings like JBL, Sony, UE etc Ubiquiti has a record of bringing something out then abandoning it once they lose interest

But what about those of us who don't function in an air conditioned office and must deploy networks, wi-fi, and cameras in more harsh, industrial environments?? *_UI, you have left a gaping hole in your product line when you discontinued the USW-Industrial._* I need 5 of them and can't find any anywhere.
We will see; tech support at pro AV manufactures groan as soon as they hear the network is Unifi and two automation companies I deal with specifically tell you not to use Ubiquiti networking equipment if you want a trouble free system. All in all, the AV industry seems to hate Unifi; we can hope Ubiquiti has tried to listen and make changes for the better.

This, I believe, will alleviate SOME of the issues, but we'll have to see how these switches perform under high AV traffic loads. That's the goal. Somewhere they mentioned switch updates for low latency A/V. So the idea is a commercial deployment where latency is a concern. But only for the Pro Max switches I believe.

Unifi Play PowerAmp, right on time. I'm curious if the Amp has all the features that Sonos has, because I'm switching if reviewers can convince me and if the price is fair.
What makes me switch is two fold; Sonos architectural is crazy expensive and management is screwing the company up. Search for the recent foobars the CEO has done recently, pushing out an app update that was lacking basic features, and causing playback and grouping problems. I've been planning out adding in in-ceiling speakers by hacking Ikea models to drive external speakers. $149 for an Ikea speaker or $700 for a Sonos amp? Which would you prefer?
Does becoming a member of the SDVoe Alliance mean that PTP is now supported, or will be supported in the near future? It would be interesting to get Ubiquiti gear in OT environments, and a lack of PTP support is really holding it back.
Too bad the UniFi PowerAmp doesnt have Chromecast support. That is always nice to have so that every android phone model is capable of universal streaming to it, rather than being limited to only Spotify on android. Guess these wont be replacing the WiiM Amps in my house anytime soon :(

@@iamdave84 Sonos originally won a small settlement, and then a judge reversed that and threw out Sonos patents as being invalid since they lied about file date, I think that only had to do with controlling wireless speakers anyway, not the actual audio streaming stuff. Chromecast streaming never went away from anything and still ships on lotsa of devices.

We need patrol as well as multi subject tracking, even with more camera (example one dome for the full view, and a coulle of ptz for facial and cars [remember reolink already has something like this]) as well as a proter plate reading camera, as for rn, g4pro (it's the best u have, full zoom in, work's only during the day, at night it's a bloodbath, and for parking lots or u're new plate recognition dor opener, i mean guys, it's a must. My Marantz powering my outdoor speakers and networking with my indoor speakers feels safe. Play is interesting, but the money I'd have to spend to upgrade even my simple setup is beyond ridiculous. I could replace my entire network setup for less. Not to mention the serious streaming service limitations.
I just wish that you had a more open system for lighting, thermostats, and generally automated system that are usually not automated like blinds windows occupancy sensors… If it where up to me 😅 I would try out making a plc or something like that that can be installed in a breaker box cabinet, and more importantly use knx, dali 2 or some other type of open ecosystem! Plus more appliances could be powered by cheaper smaller dc cables, not inefficient ac cable. To me everything Poe is overkill. A light would only have 2 or 4 wire if it is wrgb or adjustable white, all connected to a dim rail cabinet and then to a ubiquiti (knx for instance) controller.
Put zigbe 2 Mqtt inside every access point or whatever make a standerd for smart home stuff since it can’t be on WiFi for security and lantancy but I allready have access points everywhere

In the UK if you connect anything to a Grade 2 or 3 alarm that is not graded = a non graded alarm and an excuse for insurance to not payout.
