Omg I'm a August kid too and i'm 17 about to turn 18. Honestly life is way better as im turning 18. I'm still interested in my "childish" hobbies and have friends who are interested in the same stuff as me. I matured a little more but haven't lost interest in the things that are pivotal to me. It is scary and expressing some of that fear definitely helped me overcome it.

4months left to be 18 and this playlist made me think of how fast my life changed. I did things that my younger self would never do. I stopped being clingy to my best friend after she broke my heart many times. And it seem now that she is happy that i stopped loving her that much and she said that's good that i changed. I became closer to my mom and i finally realized her love to us. I stopped hating my younger siblings and Blaming them of not having things i've always wanted and started looking how to bring it instead and how to make them proud of their big sis. I know being mature is so hard but we must keep going guys. We have only one life so we must enjoy everything in it ✨

I don't think I ever celebrated my 17th birthday, but I'm glad my childhood war is over. At the time I was 17, I was barely surviving as I was suffering with two abusive parents that barely fed me. At the time I weighed around 70-75 Ibs. I also went to juvie that year for trying to move out but because my parents needed someone to take care of the house they classified me as a "runaway" and forced me to come home. I turned 18 a couple months later and moved out of state. Haven't talked or seen my father in 7 years. 😌 If anyone is wondering what freedom sounds like, it's this playlist. ✨😁

I'm also a june baby except I was a teen on the late 2010's. I wasn't in the best head space when I turned 17 so I wasn't experiencing that freedom and joy your teens years are "supposed" to feel like. Years later now at 23 I feel that now, so if you feel behind, excluded, isolated, don't worry you'll get there. I promise you stick around, it's worth it.

it's so weird because i was born in june too, It's autumn here.
Even though many times I thought about how great it would be to have a summer for my birthday and the hate that it's in the middle of the year, then I realized that I can't imagine not having my birthday with floors covered in discolored leaves or with dark and rainy nights. For my summer at 17, six months have passed, now I'll be 18. It's great to start the year with summer and an age but it feels strange to have half of it in the past and half of it in the future, do you understand me?
