How is the Elite story still going? They said they wanted to get Tony out and run the show. But Tony Khan is back and looks to be running the show just fine. There sure doesn't feel like a hostile takeover is in motion.
its a show that focuses on amazing matches and the story is just trying to make those matches make sense, tbh i jave seen sitcoms that make less sense (2 and a half men)
If Caster or Bowens don’t shout, “Mr President, get down!” And shove him out of the way of a double super kick then what are we even doing?

I saw on another review that said since 2019 aew has had 15 DQ finishes. In wwe since 2019 they've had closer to 300 DQ finishes.
I feel like ppl are overlooking that Don Callis was noticeably absent this episode

I could see a scenario where this leads to a triple threat match at ALL IN for the International Championship: MJF vs Will Ospreay vs Daniel Garcia.
It's funny that they mentioned who's going to face the Bucks for the tag belts. At the beginning of this Dynamite I forgot who the tag champs were. What a difference five years makes

I hate to say this but Daniel Garcia does nothing for me. He's a solid worker in the ring and he does a funny dance but that's it. That's his ceiling. If he does get a slot on the Wembley card I personally think he needs to step up, or AEW needs to build him up to feel like he belongs on the card.
It should have been MCM or THE ABC from instead of the acclaimed
Man did that MJF X Osprey X Garcia promo drag on and on. Funny how out of nowhere AEW will have us wanting to just believe a wrestler is big just cuz they tell us. Like instead of having other wrestlers tell us that Garcia is a big deal, actually book him to be a big deal. Garcia's streak is against a bunch of nobodies.
He'd be a fun TNT champ, but he's the silly dance man & anything beyond mid card feels out of place for him
it's actually an age old thing in wrestling. The bigger stars do put over the newer, lesser known guys. It is a way to say, yes you should pay attention to this guy, sometimes when people don't. And they are trying to make him a big deal. I know his big weakness is his "personality" It isn't Jericho or Rock, but that is part of the appeal of Daniel Garcia, that I have gotten into over the last year. He is good in the ring. He does fine on the mic. But, he is that hard working, working class as you will guy. I know that doesn't translate in the sports entertainment/wrestling overall scheme, but It does make him more likeable and with growth he can be a sold, full time upper card guy. TNT champion, then maybe International champion You have to give it a try. Not you, but AEW.

I'm assuming this is the build for it. He comes to the realization that The Devil has to return. He tried to bury it, but it was what made him the top guy. He's already said he is back and trusting no one. It is a start.

Garcia is still just silly dance man to me, so the whole angle with him, Will & Max falls flat for me. It'd be like the Cody & Roman having matches with R-Truth
yeah that dance thing was bad, but it got over and then he tried to get away from it and started being more serious, now he breaks it out every once in a while. I have started to like Garcia and do want him to succeed. And putting him with Ospreay is part of that elevation. And I think a lot of people right now would pay for a Cody VS R Truth match.
U.S. Federal Trade Commission just ban non compete clause in employer employee contracts and also nullifies current non-compete clauses. What effect, if any, do you think this will have on professional wrestling?
Not saying the Toy Story analogy is wrong but my brain went high school. The cool kid Will showed up Max while he was trying to his date for All In. Reminded me of the Davey Richards Kevin Steen dynamic. Max is gonna kill Will in Wembley

I just got reminded that MJF is facing Hachicero at Forbidden Door. Why did they not even try to build that up even a little bit?
They did build it up a little bit.
Because it was supposed to be Rush but they had to switch it around because of certain companies not willing to work with some guys on the card.

When was the last time they did anything impressive or looked like a credible team? For alot of people (me included), the acclaimed have just become a reference joke that isn't funny, and them not doing anything interesting really hasn't helped

@pogowashere7848 sure, they sound nice, but if that doesn't tend to mean anything, to alot of people (and I'm glad it's not you, enjoy wrestling) it's just alot of nothing. They don't feel credible, and they are taking up TV time to do something that doesn't matter
9:51 when Luke said this I came to a realization. World’s End was literally just that. It wasn’t just the End of the World in the sense that Max’s World Title Reign. But it literally was the End of Max’s World where he was the Top Guy and he’s come back to a completely different world where he doesn’t know his place in it yet and this promo is him now realizing all of that.
It did take me a little longer than it should have, when I was watching that. He got pushed out of the conversation so quick and he just stood in the corner. I was thrown for a while, then it was oh, this is what we are doing. MJF is not the most important thing. He is just there. It's a good story.

Supposedly there is a women's revolution happening in AEW but I don't see it. WWE and TNA have more women's matches and segments than AEW in which you are lucky to just get one women's match.

So relieved to finally hear some positivity. Entertainment is subjective, I understand, but I have spent the whole day feeling like I was the only one who had fun watching this episode, the negativity for this episode has been everywhere. Anyway happy wrestling

1. His first feud back is against an undercard wrestler
2. His first ppv match back is against a total nobody
3. He didn't even care to win back his title through the tournament
4. Now he's supposedly going to be un a random mid card match at their biggest show after main eventing it last year

Jericho has got to be hurting their ratings. Myself, and everyone I know, changes the channel when he comes on the screen. I miss whole other segments because I forget to turn back.

What they've done to MJF is embarrassing. That match with Rush was insulting. MJF is their top guy. The only person who can draw a decent number. Pretending Oespray is even in the same league is a further insult. No one seized a moment. Ratings are down, attendance is awful. This whole angle is absolute garbage. They have back the one guy that is actually a star, and he gets to feud on the midcard? Lord, this indie fed will never learn.

I like that they seem to FINALLY be doing something with Daniel Garcia. It’s long overdue. The segment was a bit too long imo though.

Jay vs. Fenix was very good. And Jay vs. Christian is intriguing.
The Women’s Tag Match was very fun. Harley Cameron is a natural. She’s quite good for being so green.
Still have ZERO interest in the Jericho stuff.
They’ve done a good job of adding heat to the Ospreay/Swerve feud the last two weeeks.
daniel garcia deserves to at least a tnt champion by now or at least be doing something more than he has been
People say Tony can't book, but he has built Daniel Garcia over the year. i didn't really care for him, now I am really into Daniel Garcia. He does put on great matches and his promos are fine, for his character, it works. He isn't supposed to be the charismatic, over the top guy. He is a down to earth, guy, trying to make it in the business.
I’m still not into Will and I don’t want him to win this title, hangman needs to beat swerve
love Ospreay, but yeah, I doubt he is winning the title. Hangman is a good choice. He is most likely the surprise/wild card for the tournament.
MJF is a great in ring Wrestler and can cut high tier emotionally charged promos. However since his AEW World title reign started turning sour in October/November time with the badly booked Devil storyline, the writing was on the wall that MJF would begin to lose favour when something new came along. Will Ospreay was the big shot in the arm that AEW needed after Max had started to stink up the joint during the back end of his World title reign. MJF has only grown into a US TV wrestling Star, while Ospreay has done it on a Global level in different continents. Ospreay being the biggest babyface in AEW right now, has caused envy, resentment and bitterness to resurface within MJF. It has been eating away at MJF since Ospreay officially debuted while MJF was injured.
In the build to ALL IN we need to see MJF explode and take out all his bottled up emotions on Ospreay as he tries to regain the spot that Ospreay has easily fulfilled and replaced MJF in.
The devil story wasn't badly booked. Everyone just got hurt
