To anyone considering this: get the Legato. Adds flow control and preinfusion. Way worth it. You don't want to be stuck with a static 15 bar machine, even at this price point and considering the Legato is just a bit more expensive. I hope they update the Legato with an OPV soon. Then it's the perfect sub $1K machine.
Curious about the internals, plastic tubing for cold/hot sides? Description says "Thermoblock with s.s heating tube" ... wondering if that's only in the thermoblock or all the way to the group head/steam wand. Thanks!
I have a standard superautomatic espresso machine I bought for convenience during the pandemic. I have been looking for a replacement better all the way to the Micra. My requirements is the convenience of a shot on demand (no waiting for a boiler). Could a Sonata and a good grinder (DH64?) make a modestly ok espresso shot consistently (quaility 80% of Peet's or Starbucks) ?
We do not prefer a darker coffee like Peets or Starbucks uses. So it depends. We can easily pull as good and usually much better than those with all of these machines at home. Might take some time to adjust and learn.
Made by Corrima, company has been around for years. Never heard of the other machine, most likely similar. They name CRM... and just not very nice to use a part number.

OPV?
No OPV
Internal PID or do you have to temp surf?
No temp surfing, it is thermoblock only run with pre-set PID.
is this copy of the Solis Gran Gusto? it is exactly the same machine.

Compare. It. To. The. Legato.
I found other reviews of this machine by searching "Gemaliai CRM3005." This model is "H," which designates the pressure gauge.
