The New preservation Cone equipped to Gepard sounds amazing for Simulated Universe Shenanigans. Maybe we can see future uses for his Ascension passive that converts some of his DEF into Atk.
My Gepard with Trend of the Universal Market already does those *anigans in the SU by burning enemies, but yes, it would be nice to see how this LC can benefit existing Preservation characters, especially in MoC and Pure Fiction (I still do not exclude March7 here, her ult still does some damage after all.)
On a similar but different note, the new Abundance cone should provide some Abundance shenanigans in Sim Universe. A lot of the buffs will proc when healing is provided. While Abundance is kinda terrible in G&G I imagine it will see use in future content.
Hanya might make pretty good use of the harmony LC since she can comfortably spam skill. That will also occasionally add dmg% to her atk% ultimate, and she gets the skill damage buff too which is valuable if she's sub dps. In general, a harmony paired with Dan or QQ can probably use it well without changing playstyle too.
I don't think most characters will want to use it over Meshing, and the buff is worse than Planetary generally if you can use it instead but it will probably see some niche usage or it's fine if you have nothing else.

@@twigz3214 Anyone who functions on DDD or planetary (or basically any LC that isn't cogs or memories of the past) will make good use of this one, especially because it's free and a bit fluid with what you can buff. My hanya is on planetary s1, so it will definitely be a huge help with which compositions you can go for. You can also do fun things like ulting during your turn, using the dps' ult to gain the benefits, finish your turn with skill and swap the benefits back to it. Even small expressions like this make the game better. edit: forgot to mention it requires no luck to upgrade since it's free from forgotten hall, another big bonus over the others except cogs.
I think the Preservation LC is pretty useful for PURE FICTION : there, Preservation units are more used as Breakers than true sustain. So, it's nice to have a more offensive option in that context. Even outside of Pure Fiction, it's still a good option for Fire MC, since he/she often needs a secondary sustain anyway...
I tried a lil bit of dps fire mc, including pure fiction. And once i used moment of victory i can't recommend anything else for fire mc(well except 4 star alternative, Landau's choice). Getting hit for them means : 1. Less dmg for the team 2. More enhanced basics for more break. 3. More energy for more ults (and more break)
Must say I'm not convinced for the fire MC case. I haven't done the numbers but on my own (less than scientific) testing I get more dmg mileage out of fire MC with break. Still, given the LC is F2P and farmable I'll probably get one anyway over time so I'll test it again then.
So glad we're getting another F2P Hunt LC, already using Stellar Sea on Seele and I pulled Ratio's signature so I was really needing a good LC for Topaz. Already saving up the LC shop mats to S5 it as soon as I can
Qingque seriously does win every patch like I can finally throw off the breakfast lc for that one :) And the preservation lightcone feels pretty great for def scaling chars plus Im in need of preservation lcs cuz wildfire lc is just 💀(I'm more excited of erudition, preservation and the harmony light cones tbh)
Well, the preservation might be surprisingly good on Gepard due to his major trace increasing his attack, but I dunno how strong that increase in damage would be. Overall the light cones all seem interesting with some niche uses.
Dreamville Adventure seems like a decent Lightcone for dual DPS builds using Hanya or Sparkle as support, it allows to spam skills and increase the damage of two characters instead of just one with Past and Future. Something like a Kafka, Black Sawn, Hanya + healer could get some good DPS out of it in theory.
DPS light cones win so hard here. ashy paste erudition light cone is not only the cutest light cone, it seems amazing for pure fiction teams. blade is gonna love the new destruction lc since I dont have his signature, and finally another decent 4 star hunt lc to use, probably will end up on yanqing for me. totally agree 4 star nihility dps like sampo will love that sparkle light cone, too bad I’m going all in on black swan lmfao.
Since my Blade is still stuck with S1 A Secret Vow I will get him the Destruction one and use it once I can get higher superimpositions. I want Aventurine and Gallagher both, so if the cones are really good 4* options for them I will get them in or around 2.1. I'm very excited for the new Erudition cone for Himeko. I just finished her relic set with a 75/150 split. Between the extra Crit damage from the new LC and Broken Keel from supports I think I can hit 200 effective Crit damage on her assuming S5.
On HoyoLab they revealed Black Swan's signature LC has 40% EHR at S1 and that one of her traces increases her "damage dealt" by a portion of her EHR I think it's safe to assume she'll need a large amount, and she probably has low base chances to account for how much EHR she'll want
Numbers are out on Star Rail Station (this database usually doesn't update unless it's practically official) If you're interested read more Black Swan has 100% base chance to apply 1 stack of her passive with her skill and 65% with literally everything else (there are like a million proc chances for this thing)
Dreamville Adventure for Harmony characters I think might have a pretty good synergy with Hanya if she is with a team reliant on skill damage (so like not Qingque or Daniel who need sp but deal basic attack damage), given that optimally she is almost always using it anyways. I dunno how much better it might be than other lightcones, but I think there's definitely something for people smarter than me to look into.

Hmm... Maybe Gallagher will be Xueyi-esque with his healing scaling off of his break effect and maybe some high break efficiency basics to really make good use of it.
They keep giving us good Erudition LC.... probaly won't see a 5 star one in the Herta for a lone time though.😅 Be building it because I have Himeko, Jing Yuan and now Herta build for Pure Fiction.
An interesting and specific application for It's Showtime is with Guinaifen. 80% EHR is only slightly above her EHR requirement for always applying a burn with her basic against Elites or Bosses affected by her or Dr Ratio's e1 (78.6%). This is specifically useful for Gui's SP positive build and by my own calculations is her second best lightcone for personal damage against 2 elite targets (127k), beaten only by PAYN (149k). Incessent Rain (125k) will provide more damage for the team as the damage difference is very small, while resolution shines as pearls of sweat (110k) might be able to make up the difference.
For the new harmony LC buff, I think you can use it on nuke set up when all your allies have their ult up, it is pretty niche but you can actually deal dmg with it not relying much on Past n Future SPD tuning which can pretty mess up on long run or slow/delay from enemies
Maybe Gallagher will be sustain for DOT teams if you don't have Huohuo? The LC gives break bonus and wants it user so use basics, so Gallagher may be a burn applier with ULT, or skill, that uses his HP to heal/buff all team?
Preservation seems to be extremely strong. Gonna be extremely useful for Simulation, as well as potential characters. Destruction immediately confirms my theory on SAM Playstyle (as well as his leak that will be changing.) I’m glad I saved his Relic Set (since I never had Blade but I wanna keep a set for satisfaction.)
- The *Hunt* cone is good for people who want to play the *Topaz + Ratio* combo and don't have any of any of their signature cones. *Stellar Sea* should go on *Ratio* and *Final Victor* on *Topaz.* - The *Harmony* cone can be decent on *Yukong* since she'll be spamming her skill anyway and her ult can be used on purpose just before an ally's ult. I guess *Qingque* can also make good use of it with an harmony unit that uses a lot of basic attacks like *Tingyun, E6 Asta or Ruan Mei.* - The *Nihility* cone is probably best used on *Welt,* for now. He can apply debuffs consistently and be built as sub dps. I don't think it's better than his signature though, because of the wasted EHR stats and lower base attack. - The *Erudition* cone looks like a downgrade to *R5 Geniuses' Repose.* So only worth if you don't have it yet. - The *Preservation* cone could be used on *Fire Trailblazer* but I think the free 5* *Texture of Memories* is better. - The *Abundance* cone might be niche on *HuoHuo in a DoT team,* but is probably designed for a future character. - I don't like the *Destruction* cone.
So, to sum it up: 1) Flames Afar (Destruction) - Blade (for his berserk state) and Clara (for her aggro) 2) Final Victor (Hunt) - Seele (4-hit skill & resurgence), Yanqing (multiple hits) 3) The Day the Cosmos Fell (Erudition) - Qingque (and Jing Yuan with Ruan Mei) 4) Dreamville Adventure (Harmony) - Ruan Mei when paired with Ice DPSes? If it only buffs allies of the same element, it is really too niche 5) It's Showtime (Nihility) - 4* DoT Sub DPS (Guinaifen, Sampo, Luca) - but 80% EHR restriction is too much IMHO 6) Destiny’s Threads Forewoven (Preservation) - making Gepard, Fu Xuan, March, FireMC more of a DPS, will be good on Aventurine 7) It's Showtime (Abundance) - Lynx break builds, or, in the future, Galagher. IMHO, we already have quite a lot of Abundance LCs that are good, and I am not sure when I will be upgrading my next Abundance LC.
erudition is universal, they’re just two I calculated Harmony: It doesn’t buff allies of the same element, it buffs all allies depending on the harmony unit’s action

Given that we got Black Swan's official breakdown over on Hoyolab, she has a Trace that increases her damage based on her EHR (up to 120%). That means 'It's Showtime!' will be perfectly suited to her.
Except it doesn’t give EHR. I have 120% EHR with an attack body because of eyes of prey. It definitely can’t beat that out and you will have to wear an EHR body.
I’m actually pretty excited for the new Hunt cone. While using ult after skill on Seele isn’t the most synergistic with her kit I still think it would be worth it just for the sheer volume of crit damage you’d have (plus the fact that you can force 100% crit rate… so no, Seele, you aren’t allowed to miss crits anymore.) Like comparing it to her next best free option (Cruising) it just feels like an upgrade provided you can get those crit rate rolls. (Fu Xuan helps with this too.)
I think the harmony light cone can be good on Hanya since she's always spamming her skill, you could pair it with Argenti to increase his skill damage and just before he ults you ult with hanya to give the damage on his ultimate. It's very niche though and still not sure if it's better than current options
Im pretty excited for the nihility cone because it already sounds pretty nice for Black Swan even at S1. Perhaps the cone at S5 could make up for the damage bonus loss from a lower EHR Black Swan (no EHR on the LC). Plus the LC design is one of my favorites out of the bunch (Masked Fools supremacy
I've had amazong results with "what is real" in my dot team: kafka, black swan, guinaifen and bailu. Cuz bailu is almost always the main one to basic atrack to trigger kafka's follow up
The new hunt lightcone is actually decent choice on Dr. Ratio but only with his E2 I think since he will do additional atk. But still pretty much an expensive choice when you could just pull for his own signature light cone
I love a good tank-DPS and support-DPS hybrid, so I have my eye on Aventurine and Gallagher and the respective Light Cones. I still need to figure out who I want for a limited Main DPS though. 😅I’m hoping to hear something (official) about Screwllum soonish. (Edit: Yes, I have Ratio and am currently working on him at the moment.)
My Geppy lack effect resistance, so i might try use that. He did have 4k defense sooo maybe a bit of dmg? Idk. Tbh, i think it suit MC more cause their ultimate is Dmg.
So, Erudition got the best one, followed by Blade getting a dedicated F2P cone, and Topaz getting an F2P cone that might work on a few others as well. Rest seems like they're made for characters not yet released.
Thank you for a much more insightful video about the coming LCs. I'd just want to have a more "generalized" information about who is the best wearer (among the already existing characters!) of each new light cone given a specific team (regardless of any extra buffs of course). I have an impression that most of these LC Manifest items are all "meh" in comparison to Herta shop LCs, so I am really waiting for the new Herta's LCs. And whatever anyone says about the Dreamville Adventure Harmony LC, there are so few Harmony light cones, that I will probably give it a go. I mean, it is the first non-gacha Harmony LC after all.

The day the cosmos fell and it's showtime free up so many jades in the future since you can now reasonably skip almost all limited cones for the support reruns. I'm a hundred doing the day the cosmos fell and probably all of them at some point. Don't forget that sparkle can patch high cost teams so it's possible that the future teams are just give me all the dps possible
I'll be sure to get some of these, ehe~! The Destruction and Erudition ones are something to look out for, considering my... light cone availability in the inventory.

None of those sound particularly appealing to me in themselves, but the fact that Pres and Abundance are more offence oriented makes me excited. I'm one of those oonga boonga players that just throws a healer + 3 straight up DPS in my team without harmony characters so I'm all for more offensive options in usually defensive paths lol
I'm glad that Topaz now has a good F2P option beside Boat. Most of The Hunt light cones have annoying condition, such as Only Silence Remain/Dan Heng *4 LC that only grant bonus with 2 enemies or less on the field but all the bosses keep summoning adds, therefore all my Hunt characters have to fight over the Boat LC.

For the nihility cone I personally decided I would put it on Guinaifen (I don't share LC between different characters) because of her E1 requiring 79% to guarantee as well as her trace requiring more than that. This way I can still put Tutorial on SW and Pearls of sweat on Pela, and the 80% EHR might not be fully optimal but at least it's not wasted. About the hunt cone though, I had been planning to use it on Dr. Ratio because I thought his skill was multi hit because of all the particle effects, and his follow up attack after the skill would get buffed as well, but I never played him so I didn't even realize it was a single hit skill, so my Dr. Ratio is still LC-less 😭 (Seele is using the Herta one). I pray to god that the anniversary event has a hunt LC now...
Her E1 and other debuffs require 67% EHR and then lets her only need 43% for her other debuffs, but I can see going to 80% for that ATK being cool ^^ Maybe Seele can try using the new cone and Ratio Stellar?
personally i'll be going for the preservation and abundance LCs, all the other light cones bring nothing really new and are generally just sidegrades or very slight upgrades to most characters. The abundance and pesarvation ones tho are completely unique. I hope my man gallagher uses this lc well and brings a new fun break healer playstyle.
I have a cool idea with dreamville adventures... You set it on auto play and slow speed ans start gambling with your friend what the AI is going to do. The goal is to guess if the dps used the right action to benifit from the buff.
Honestly am mostly just excited for Nihility and Abundance. Thankfully I have the other niches filled and maybe I'll pick up Hunts but... I plan on using the Nihility on Sampo cause they let me get Kafka and his e6 and als because I have trash LCs for them otherwise. I really do hope I can get to pull Gallagher (Ruan Mei + Wanting Kafka killed my jades) cause I'd love to see healers with more damage focused support while still filling their role. It would be fun to play with more break effect~☆ Also thanks for the info on hit mechanics. I only had a vague concept of it but had no idea it could account for that LC when I first saw it~☆
I'm like a month late but I have a 3554 DEF Fire MC that's doing similar damage or even more than the average of my team like erudition unit with the Fates Forewoven Lightcone. They can just not go all the way to 4000 defense because they have innate defense increasing utility when you use their enhanced NA, not only that but my FIreBlazer is also has 50%+ EHR so the Architechs planar ornament condition is met, also helping them with taunting abilities, with enough support (like my MonoFire), they can deal damage even supassing that of a erudition unit! (roughly 20-40k of damage). I'd like to also add that I believe that FireBlazer is quite made for the lightcone as well, {March is Debatable but she's better suited for freezebot, I tried believe me), Not only can they hit for an area of enemies for a normal attack, but their burst is also capable of dealing damage as well, the damage increase from the lightcone isn't specified so every attack that the trailblazer does is increased, sure they have quite the questionable shielding but they're a walking preservation unit as it is with even some innate healing when using the enhanced NA, the taunt value is enough and paired with lynx, it's sp neutral. I don't think you're even supposed to use the shield in every turn since any abilities that they do shield allies enough as it is, this lightcone was built for someone semi-offensive like them!

Hmm. Sam's Light Cone damage buff cannot have 100% uptime, correct? I still think Vow is better if you have it, as Vow gives a 40% unconditional damage buff in addition to the 40% damage buff for having less HP. It feels to me that Vow's worst case scenario (40% DMG buff with full uptime) is comparable (possibly better) than the best case scenario for Flames Afar (50% DMG on 3/4ths of turns). It mostly comes down to the healing in that case, I feel, but I doubt 15% HP once every 3 turns is very meaningful on most characters (maybe a scuffed solo sustain Blade). If you have Geniuses' Repose, I'm pretty sure that one is just better than the Sam cone unless you're somehow in a situation where you aren't downing enemies at least once every 3 turns (which is probably rare in Erudition-focused content). At S5, Cosmos gives 24% ATK and 40% CDMG while Genius gives 32% ATK and 48% DMG. I also feel like, for Black Swan specifically, Eyes of the Prey is better than the new cone. It's Showtime gives a total of 30% DMG bonus and 36% ATK (assuming you can fulfill both conditions) at S5, while Eyes of the Prey gives a 72% DMG bonus to her DoTs (taking her passive into account, assuming you don't reach 120% EHR) as well as 40% EHR, the latter of which Black Swan desperately needs (her base chance to apply stacks is really low). I honestly would say only to pick up the new cone if you don't have Eyes of the Prey already.
beside nihility, erudition and maybe preservation for effect res they're really not that great imo, but they're easy to get so makes sense, a bit sad the nihility doesn't give EHR , I was hoping for it for my Black Swan since I don't have sampo LC, rip ! :(
If it's 100% chance then he'd get close to Ratio's damage. Yanqing is bad only because of him needing a shielder but i think Aventurine gonna elevate him significantly. Let's see.

Well, the preservation might be surprisingly good on Gepard due to his major trace increasing his attack, but I dunno how strong that increase in damage would be. Overall the light cones all seem interesting with some niche uses.
His DMG is weak even with that haha :P but im ready for the gepard dps memes
Dreamville Adventure seems like a decent Lightcone for dual DPS builds using Hanya or Sparkle as support, it allows to spam skills and increase the damage of two characters instead of just one with Past and Future.
Something like a Kafka, Black Sawn, Hanya + healer could get some good DPS out of it in theory.
Only problem is Hanya is a pretty rough 3rd slot in that comp, but I see what youre going for! Sounds cool

DPS light cones win so hard here. ashy paste erudition light cone is not only the cutest light cone, it seems amazing for pure fiction teams. blade is gonna love the new destruction lc since I dont have his signature, and finally another decent 4 star hunt lc to use, probably will end up on yanqing for me. totally agree 4 star nihility dps like sampo will love that sparkle light cone, too bad I’m going all in on black swan lmfao.

I'm very excited for the new Erudition cone for Himeko. I just finished her relic set with a 75/150 split. Between the extra Crit damage from the new LC and Broken Keel from supports I think I can hit 200 effective Crit damage on her assuming S5.

On HoyoLab they revealed Black Swan's signature LC has 40% EHR at S1 and that one of her traces increases her "damage dealt" by a portion of her EHR
I think it's safe to assume she'll need a large amount, and she probably has low base chances to account for how much EHR she'll want

Dreamville Adventure for Harmony characters I think might have a pretty good synergy with Hanya if she is with a team reliant on skill damage (so like not Qingque or Daniel who need sp but deal basic attack damage), given that optimally she is almost always using it anyways. I dunno how much better it might be than other lightcones, but I think there's definitely something for people smarter than me to look into.

An interesting and specific application for It's Showtime is with Guinaifen. 80% EHR is only slightly above her EHR requirement for always applying a burn with her basic against Elites or Bosses affected by her or Dr Ratio's e1 (78.6%). This is specifically useful for Gui's SP positive build and by my own calculations is her second best lightcone for personal damage against 2 elite targets (127k), beaten only by PAYN (149k). Incessent Rain (125k) will provide more damage for the team as the damage difference is very small, while resolution shines as pearls of sweat (110k) might be able to make up the difference.

For the new harmony LC buff, I think you can use it on nuke set up when all your allies have their ult up, it is pretty niche but you can actually deal dmg with it not relying much on Past n Future SPD tuning which can pretty mess up on long run or slow/delay from enemies

Maybe Gallagher will be sustain for DOT teams if you don't have Huohuo? The LC gives break bonus and wants it user so use basics, so Gallagher may be a burn applier with ULT, or skill, that uses his HP to heal/buff all team?
Preservation seems to be extremely strong. Gonna be extremely useful for Simulation, as well as potential characters.
Destruction immediately confirms my theory on SAM Playstyle (as well as his leak that will be changing.) I’m glad I saved his Relic Set (since I never had Blade but I wanna keep a set for satisfaction.)
- The *Hunt* cone is good for people who want to play the *Topaz + Ratio* combo and don't have any of any of their signature cones.
*Stellar Sea* should go on *Ratio* and *Final Victor* on *Topaz.*
- The *Harmony* cone can be decent on *Yukong* since she'll be spamming her skill anyway and her ult can be used on purpose just before an ally's ult.
I guess *Qingque* can also make good use of it with an harmony unit that uses a lot of basic attacks like *Tingyun, E6 Asta or Ruan Mei.*
- The *Nihility* cone is probably best used on *Welt,* for now. He can apply debuffs consistently and be built as sub dps.
I don't think it's better than his signature though, because of the wasted EHR stats and lower base attack.
- The *Erudition* cone looks like a downgrade to *R5 Geniuses' Repose.* So only worth if you don't have it yet.
- The *Preservation* cone could be used on *Fire Trailblazer* but I think the free 5* *Texture of Memories* is better.
- The *Abundance* cone might be niche on *HuoHuo in a DoT team,* but is probably designed for a future character.
- I don't like the *Destruction* cone.
So, to sum it up:
1) Flames Afar (Destruction) - Blade (for his berserk state) and Clara (for her aggro)
2) Final Victor (Hunt) - Seele (4-hit skill & resurgence), Yanqing (multiple hits)
3) The Day the Cosmos Fell (Erudition) - Qingque (and Jing Yuan with Ruan Mei)
4) Dreamville Adventure (Harmony) - Ruan Mei when paired with Ice DPSes? If it only buffs allies of the same element, it is really too niche
5) It's Showtime (Nihility) - 4* DoT Sub DPS (Guinaifen, Sampo, Luca) - but 80% EHR restriction is too much IMHO
6) Destiny’s Threads Forewoven (Preservation) - making Gepard, Fu Xuan, March, FireMC more of a DPS, will be good on Aventurine
7) It's Showtime (Abundance) - Lynx break builds, or, in the future, Galagher. IMHO, we already have quite a lot of Abundance LCs that are good, and I am not sure when I will be upgrading my next Abundance LC.

Given that we got Black Swan's official breakdown over on Hoyolab, she has a Trace that increases her damage based on her EHR (up to 120%). That means 'It's Showtime!' will be perfectly suited to her.
Except it doesn’t give EHR. I have 120% EHR with an attack body because of eyes of prey. It definitely can’t beat that out and you will have to wear an EHR body.
I’m actually pretty excited for the new Hunt cone. While using ult after skill on Seele isn’t the most synergistic with her kit I still think it would be worth it just for the sheer volume of crit damage you’d have (plus the fact that you can force 100% crit rate… so no, Seele, you aren’t allowed to miss crits anymore.)
Like comparing it to her next best free option (Cruising) it just feels like an upgrade provided you can get those crit rate rolls. (Fu Xuan helps with this too.)
Its ironic how Sam's lightcone is the one that works for Blade, that's a good mate Right there.

I've had amazong results with "what is real" in my dot team: kafka, black swan, guinaifen and bailu. Cuz bailu is almost always the main one to basic atrack to trigger kafka's follow up
The new hunt lightcone is actually decent choice on Dr. Ratio but only with his E2 I think since he will do additional atk. But still pretty much an expensive choice when you could just pull for his own signature light cone
I love a good tank-DPS and support-DPS hybrid, so I have my eye on Aventurine and Gallagher and the respective Light Cones.
I still need to figure out who I want for a limited Main DPS though. 😅I’m hoping to hear something (official) about Screwllum soonish. (Edit: Yes, I have Ratio and am currently working on him at the moment.)
My Geppy lack effect resistance, so i might try use that. He did have 4k defense sooo maybe a bit of dmg? Idk. Tbh, i think it suit MC more cause their ultimate is Dmg.
So, Erudition got the best one, followed by Blade getting a dedicated F2P cone, and Topaz getting an F2P cone that might work on a few others as well. Rest seems like they're made for characters not yet released.
Thank you for a much more insightful video about the coming LCs. I'd just want to have a more "generalized" information about who is the best wearer (among the already existing characters!) of each new light cone given a specific team (regardless of any extra buffs of course). I have an impression that most of these LC Manifest items are all "meh" in comparison to Herta shop LCs, so I am really waiting for the new Herta's LCs. And whatever anyone says about the Dreamville Adventure Harmony LC, there are so few Harmony light cones, that I will probably give it a go. I mean, it is the first non-gacha Harmony LC after all.

The day the cosmos fell and it's showtime free up so many jades in the future since you can now reasonably skip almost all limited cones for the support reruns. I'm a hundred doing the day the cosmos fell and probably all of them at some point. Don't forget that sparkle can patch high cost teams so it's possible that the future teams are just give me all the dps possible

I'm glad that Topaz now has a good F2P option beside Boat. Most of The Hunt light cones have annoying condition, such as Only Silence Remain/Dan Heng *4 LC that only grant bonus with 2 enemies or less on the field but all the bosses keep summoning adds, therefore all my Hunt characters have to fight over the Boat LC.

For the nihility cone I personally decided I would put it on Guinaifen (I don't share LC between different characters) because of her E1 requiring 79% to guarantee as well as her trace requiring more than that. This way I can still put Tutorial on SW and Pearls of sweat on Pela, and the 80% EHR might not be fully optimal but at least it's not wasted.
About the hunt cone though, I had been planning to use it on Dr. Ratio because I thought his skill was multi hit because of all the particle effects, and his follow up attack after the skill would get buffed as well, but I never played him so I didn't even realize it was a single hit skill, so my Dr. Ratio is still LC-less 😭 (Seele is using the Herta one). I pray to god that the anniversary event has a hunt LC now...
Her E1 and other debuffs require 67% EHR and then lets her only need 43% for her other debuffs, but I can see going to 80% for that ATK being cool ^^
Maybe Seele can try using the new cone and Ratio Stellar?

personally i'll be going for the preservation and abundance LCs, all the other light cones bring nothing really new and are generally just sidegrades or very slight upgrades to most characters. The abundance and pesarvation ones tho are completely unique. I hope my man gallagher uses this lc well and brings a new fun break healer playstyle.
Harmony one is crazy good for manual play I think people are underestimating it. Specially on chars like Blade and DHIL that like to basic atk a lot.
The conversation cone can be good for Fire MC in pure fiction.
The destruction light cone can be great for f2p Clara/Blade solo in SU.
dreamville adventure is good with sparkle and seele since one sparkle gives sp (ult) and 50% advance forward(with crit dmg on the skill)
I have a cool idea with dreamville adventures... You set it on auto play and slow speed ans start gambling with your friend what the AI is going to do.
The goal is to guess if the dps used the right action to benifit from the buff.
Honestly am mostly just excited for Nihility and Abundance. Thankfully I have the other niches filled and maybe I'll pick up Hunts but... I plan on using the Nihility on Sampo cause they let me get Kafka and his e6 and als because I have trash LCs for them otherwise. I really do hope I can get to pull Gallagher (Ruan Mei + Wanting Kafka killed my jades) cause I'd love to see healers with more damage focused support while still filling their role. It would be fun to play with more break effect~☆

I'm like a month late but I have a 3554 DEF Fire MC that's doing similar damage or even more than the average of my team like erudition unit with the Fates Forewoven Lightcone.
They can just not go all the way to 4000 defense because they have innate defense increasing utility when you use their enhanced NA, not only that but my FIreBlazer is also has 50%+ EHR so the Architechs planar ornament condition is met, also helping them with taunting abilities, with enough support (like my MonoFire), they can deal damage even supassing that of a erudition unit! (roughly 20-40k of damage).
I'd like to also add that I believe that FireBlazer is quite made for the lightcone as well, {March is Debatable but she's better suited for freezebot, I tried believe me), Not only can they hit for an area of enemies for a normal attack, but their burst is also capable of dealing damage as well, the damage increase from the lightcone isn't specified so every attack that the trailblazer does is increased, sure they have quite the questionable shielding but they're a walking preservation unit as it is with even some innate healing when using the enhanced NA, the taunt value is enough and paired with lynx, it's sp neutral. I don't think you're even supposed to use the shield in every turn since any abilities that they do shield allies enough as it is, this lightcone was built for someone semi-offensive like them!

I think Gallaghers Light Cone could hint that he uses his on HP to heal allies/damage Enemies, so his Light Cone is a way to mitigate that Problem.
Or hints he builds atk/break so is more squishy than other abundance chars. His kit is leaked but I won't spoil it for you, he seems interesting.
From his leaks I honestly wouldn't be too hopeful
Going to guess Gallagher is going to have some kind of scaling with Break Effect, like his healing is increased by his Break Effect stat or something. (Leakers do not confirm/deny this)

Hmm. Sam's Light Cone damage buff cannot have 100% uptime, correct? I still think Vow is better if you have it, as Vow gives a 40% unconditional damage buff in addition to the 40% damage buff for having less HP. It feels to me that Vow's worst case scenario (40% DMG buff with full uptime) is comparable (possibly better) than the best case scenario for Flames Afar (50% DMG on 3/4ths of turns). It mostly comes down to the healing in that case, I feel, but I doubt 15% HP once every 3 turns is very meaningful on most characters (maybe a scuffed solo sustain Blade).
If you have Geniuses' Repose, I'm pretty sure that one is just better than the Sam cone unless you're somehow in a situation where you aren't downing enemies at least once every 3 turns (which is probably rare in Erudition-focused content). At S5, Cosmos gives 24% ATK and 40% CDMG while Genius gives 32% ATK and 48% DMG.
I also feel like, for Black Swan specifically, Eyes of the Prey is better than the new cone. It's Showtime gives a total of 30% DMG bonus and 36% ATK (assuming you can fulfill both conditions) at S5, while Eyes of the Prey gives a 72% DMG bonus to her DoTs (taking her passive into account, assuming you don't reach 120% EHR) as well as 40% EHR, the latter of which Black Swan desperately needs (her base chance to apply stacks is really low). I honestly would say only to pick up the new cone if you don't have Eyes of the Prey already.
The new hunt LC might become the Best in slot for topaz as an f2p option.
