I make mine with milk only. The ratio I use is 3:1 for milk and rice. Then I add cinnamon sticks/powder, essence (a mix of different vanilla extracts), nutmeg, and salt. Then when it finish, I add brown sugar. It is so good. If I need it thinner by the time it is done, just add more milk to it and let it cook.
Yummy👍🏽! I grew up on what we in the US usually term rice pudding. My southern born mother used short grain rice, whole milk, vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, pure vanilla and raisins. Some make a corn starch slurry, she just let it cook in the milk. There's such a variety of ways to make rice pudding/porridge for sure as I've experienced. Thanks for sharing that yummy recipe!
