Have seen both Squeeze (1981) and also Jools Holland & Band at Sheffield recently. This drummer is absolutely fantastic. In fact the whole show was fabulous .. Jools, 15 band members, 2 backing singers, and he had 3 guest artists, Ruby Turner, Eddi Reader & Richard Hawley. Bravo!
No doubt about it this man has dynamic chops and my hat goes off to him. but but but but but all these years they come and go and I hear and see a ton of drummers that play very very well. OK now lets get down to the basics. The only drummer that has really wowed me and made a drum solo interesting and exciting????? Who was that drummer? who was that man? BUDDY RICH case closed. no comparison BUDDY RICH

Wow , superb control ! Puts a lot of drummer " legends " to shame . Jools is a lucky guy having a great stickman like Gilson .
@Dakota Santiago Stalker ! Lol
Nicely captured, good spot to record from!
One of the greatest solos ever witness by man, that’s technically very good and not just full of crash cymbals
Shot from the stage....pretty cool.
