I do not wish to steal your thunder. However, here is one for you. Amplify antenna signal by way of the existing VCR/ DVD back end input section instead of buying a booster. Then utilize the external antenna outside or indoor.
Avoid having the electric wire overlapping or crisscrosing or rubbing against the digital cable line.
PS: Do plan ahead take time or meditate when setting up different wires. Where they end up going to connect and go out and how many of these do I need digital/ coaxial cables. It is imperative to take advantage of line one usage .
TV "line one" channel TV setting. RCA cable is for it. Just in case digital cable for TV back input is the last coaxial wire you've got, TV needs one. Hard to get or too short in length. Costs is the key here , more RCA mixed and match. Coaxial cable is noise resistant I hear.

      Hi Thomas.
Thanks for reaching out. I assume that your antenna is pointed toward the broadcast towers and you've scanned for over-the-air (not cable/satellite) channels on your TV. If not, please try those things. If so, then we would love the opportunity to assist you further over the phone. Please call our U.S.-based Consumer Care at 1-800-654-8483, 7AM-8PM, M-F, Central Time. Thank you!

      Hi Avery.
While you're welcome to try it on an indoor antenna, it won't necessarily help. Your best option is to follow the recommendations noted in the video. Also, you can visit antennaweb.org and type in your zip code to check your distance from broadcast towers. This will tell you which towers are within the mileage range of your antenna and which channels you should be able to receive. If they are outside of your antenna's mileage range, you may want to get an antenna that works at further distances.
If you have additional questions, please call our U.S.-based Consumer Care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F, 7AM-8PM Central Time.

Good video. I know you need to have the preamp close to the antenna. Does it matter where you have the power to the preamp located? As long as I have the preamp itself close to the antenna, can I still power it from just behind the TV so I don't have to install a plug in the attic??

Thanks! If you are connecting the antenna/amplifier to one TV, the power inserter can be placed next to the TV. If, however, you're adding a splitter to distribute the signal to multiple TVs located throughout your home, the best placement for the splitter and power inserter would be in your attic.
If you have additional questions, please call our U.S.-based Consumer Care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F, 7AM-8PM, Central Time, and they'll be happy to assist you further.
