For stormtrooper loadouts melees like clubs and knives were used, they often used lighter guns like the karabiner 98 az ( a carbine g98 ) or various pistols, the best u could get is a c96 with a stock, a melee like rubber knife or foam club and many grenades, grenades with stick design can be thrown further and don't roll as much so aren't as good while navigating a system but are still effective, being historicaly accurate in early war u could bring kugel grenades as they are round as to be able to roll and iron ball repros would be a cool sight as well

0:15 that looks more like a Czechoslovak Vz.24 (looked like a K98K but with straight bolt), Gewher 98s have different rear sights. So far the only uniform I seen match the 1918 period correctly. Stormtroopers Carried a Different Carbine Variant of the G98 Rifle known as the AZ. A majority of AZs that were not destroyed during disarmament went to Poland and issued as the Karabinek 98a. an AZ Factory in Danzig was also appropriated for this a key difference between the K and AZ is that a lug on the bottom of the rifle just behind the bayonets lug. that was designed so soldiers could bundle weapons together to store them on the field. (in such a formation that it looks like a tent). the AZ never had the Bolt disassembly hole the AZ also had a curved bolt. the K98K was an attempt to make the AZ Better. Stormtruppen were more likely to use AZs than Standard 98s due to the weight.
That is a really nice loadout my friend!May I ask how did you modify your gas mask?I've seen the Model 17 reproduction ones, but besides the wrong color, they got the facepiece all wrong(to short snout and the eyepieces are way to low).Did you manage to get a real GM17 and made your own facepiece?I have a few originals too, but I don't want to destroy a real one for a template.. From what I've seen and read, mp18 was issued to a squad, one guy carries it and uses it, another guy carries the mags on his back in a wooden box. I have seen guys tuck a mp18 mag into there belt but I don't think there was any pouches for it
ive seen a figure of a stormtrooper with a couple mags in the grenade bags and like you said callum im pretty sure it was issued to a squad so i don’t think putting mags in the grenade bags is accurate

I am a 57, and i wonder couse on their website all the outher helmets are the same, only the liner you can het in different sizes, wonder how it will look on my head compared to someone else his size

Well k98 is basically a carbine version, so it's the other way around
I think that the kar 98k was ww1 as well but more for snipers because the rifle was smaller and less bulky.

You should build the Kar 98.Az for your Sturmtruppen outfit. Base it off a G&G shell-ejecting or C02 sniper.
