Almost 7 inches of rain here in foothills of NC mtns last 6 days. Still looks like several more inches through Sunday!!
Does that lead to flash flooding, like they see in Vermont? Or are the foothills in NC not as steep? Stay safe!
At my house on Bumgardner Cemetery Rd Whittier NC having a Server Thunderstorms with very heavy rain in my rain gage had over 2 inches of rain in about 15 minutes

Finally this guy said it right . Weather pattern that he has been calling a storm for weeks. It's a wet pattern across the southeast. Here in Florida it lasts all summer long.
The west is dry all summer, that’s why it’s so smoky.
If I were you, I’d do my research before coming to the SE right now. Rain daily for weeks with major storms training over the same areas. Flooding after getting 2 plus inches of rain in less than one hour. Major accidents on the highways. Stay away.
It’s the opposite in the western states no storms very dry causing fire weather, red flag and fire weather watches all over western states and you can tell it’s very dry with how smoky the air is, wildfires are burning all across the west as we speak, conditions are so dire that outside burning is not recommended at all is any new fires that develop will likely spread quickly and will be difficult to contain.
Just got another 2.5 inches of rain in less than two hours last night. Wish we could send you some of this rain. Take care.

Had three inches of rain starting after midnight last night and another inch so far today in the Midlands of South Carolina.
We'd had about an inch and a half of rain since last Friday to yesterday afternoon.
