I really enjoy these mod videos. Reminds me of the simplicity and fun of these OG boardgames, I love Conquest of the Empire and have worked on my own Ancient Empires Boardgame. These ideas are great and I'll have to check some of them out for my next Conquest of the Empire game!
I have the Eagle Games version which has reduced the power of the catapult. It is pretty much similar in other respects. However, it does also come with a second rule book, which gives a very interesting alternative game.
Great video! I have all of the original MB games, and still enjoy them to this day. Shogun is our favorite. But I always liked Conquest for the theme. Do you have links for the alternative rules and some of the PDF? I know it's been a few years, but I just stumbled upon you today. Cheers!
