They cannot. In order to deport, you have to have a destination that will accept them. Those deals are struck by Federal authorities (usually by treaties) and generally include the US Government paying or giving some financial incentive TO the foreign country to take their citizens back.
Yes, you read correctly. If they get in, YOU will pay to get rid of them, or support them, in or out of jail, and their healthcare, and dependent care, and education, and on and on and on. The ONLY way that YOU will NOT pay is if a wall gets built, and troops or officers are deployed to KEEP THEM OUT. Buuuuut YOU will also pay for the wall and the people to man it.

As a legal immigrant to this country, I 100% stand behind Texas defending our borders. Its an insult to those of us who came through proper immigration channels, waited years upon years, where as these people can freely walk across anytime they want? My mom immigrated to this country when I was just 11 months old, we waited 6 years before we could be reunited. My dad filled out paperwork for his sister and her husband back in 2006, it's been 18 years and we are still waiting for their file to come up.

That might be tough since most states don't have state national guard like Texas. Ours as well as the Air national guard is Texas and not federal. It's commanded by our Governor. Most states national guard is run by joint state/federal...
Every US state, plus more, like PR and DC have their own National Guard. Unless activated by the federal government, their commander-in-chief will always be their state governor (in the case of the 50 states). They do not answer to the government (unless activated for federal service).
There are federal jobs that Guardsmen may hold, yet they will still need to answer to their governor, ultimately.
