‘Really scary situation’: Texas National Guard overrun by illegal immigrants

- New York Post Texas Reporter Jennie Taer says it is a “really scary situation” for the Texas National Guard on the border after they were overrun by illegal immigrants.
Illegal immigrants trying to enter the United States at the El Paso border in Texas have overrun the Texas National Guard.
According to US Customs and Border Protection data, 68,260 migrants crossed the border in Texas in January - a drop from the 149,806 who entered in December.
“This is a really scary situation for the community, for the National Guard here, for state authorities, for border patrol, for federal authorities,” Ms Taer told Sky News host James Morrow.
“I think that this is something that is beginning to boil over in El Paso.”

Let me get this straight. I am an ex-military veteran. Are you telling me that our military FAILED to stop this invasion of people? Are we now weaponless or something? When I served we had many many guns and many many bombs. When someone tries to cross the border into Russia an entire field of land mines stops them before soldiers can even see them!!!!! And if they did pass through the land mines (in pieces) they are then shot and killed by military troops. Why can't we do the same like other countries? Are you bringing any firearms, alcohol, legal/illegal drugs/marijuana (or do you/have you used), and finally do you carry money over X amount?
***ALL THE WHILE, THEY ARE RUNNING OUR LICENSE PLATE #, DRIVER'S LICENSE # OR PASSPORT # ***
Again, we accept this, it's your country, not our right.
3. We CAN be stopped, searched if any 'Red Flags are raised (car, luggage, BODY, ANYTHING) and can be held ALMOST INDEFINITELY.) No going back or forward. Also, they do random checks at set #'s, which are usually quick and brief.

Unless they pose an immediate threat to the national guard you will not see them use deadly force. As much as it must be very frustrating, death is not the penalty for the crime these people are committing.
I have an abundance of respect for their courage and composure in a tough situation.
Although the people crossing the border should face consequences for the actions they have committed, the reality is the problem is with politicians.
