Great place to learn. Once you get a hang of getting up which you are at that point, Start finding bigger waves. Straight down not the way to go to have fun. Soon as you pop up turn your board ride the wave with the rail of the board on the side.
I actually took it out two weeks ago and was so much fun! I have a lot of work to do in terms of paddling and standing up on the shorter board, but so much fun!
Yup ... the RockyHorrorPaddle Show ..... except in 1962 we didn't have tethers and the first lesson learned was - NEVER let the board get between you and a breaking wave ......just sayin'
i see this was a year ago so youve probably progressed since then but in this video, based on the board and the fact you were standing to catch the waves, you didnt really need to paddle. you probably could have just skipped straight to the pop up

Maybe add a few falls off the board but ya basically💀
