Hiya I just found your channel and I'm absolutely loving your videos!! However as an autistic it would be appreciated if you stopped using the puzzle piece as a symbol for autism. It comes from a company called autism speaks.
It's an ablist hate group disguised as a charity. It has ....
-posted videos criminalising autism
-supported parents who have killed their autistic child
-supported harmful aba therapy. The aim of it being to make autistics appear neurotypical which is incredibly harmful. This can include suppressing stims. These therapies have been known to be abusive!
The puzzle piece can also represent that autistics have a piece missing from them, or that they are a puzzle that needs solving.
Not many people listen to the autistic community when we talk about this symbol, so it's still widely used and most people don't know its origins.
Many of us love the infinity symbol instead !!
