you will find your way. i was diagnosed when i was 16, 22 now. im still struggling to find my people, but i dont think i will have to struggle forever. as we move through life, we may be able to shed understanding and acceptance onto our communities. i'm currently playing with the concept that the difference in perception goes both ways between autistic people and those who arent, and that it's important for both sides to make an effort to communicate things in a way the other would understand. for me, i have begun to translate some of my experiences into allegory to raise awareness. we deserve good things. we deserve to be heard and understood. no one should get away with causing us harm just because we're different. and remember, not everyone will understand. not everyone will want to understand. but that does not retract from your worth as a human being and the validity of your experiences.

This literally just reminded me that when I was a kid, well before I was diagnosed, I would sit and watch the computer screensavers. I now know that was probably stimming or sensory soothing and I'm so happy for my younger self for knowing how to best look after themself even with no information at their disposal.

However my daughter Is 11 months old and she’s my first and screams the highest pitched screams of anger and sadness when she wakes at night. When I was younger, I would stare at lava lamps, Christmas lights, and (through a video so it wasn't super loud and scary) fireworks in slow motion. It gives this tingling sensation through my body. I haven't been formally diagnosed with autism, but I diagnosed myself after heavy research. When I was younger, I had a babysitter who once showed me a video of spirals and colorful shapes forming into new ones as well, still watch that video to this day. I also used those tools in art apps that makes your strokes go in different directions but makes them symmetrical (do yk what I'm talking about?). Anyways, this video is amazing and effective- unlike other ones which made my meltdowns WORSE. Tysm

Our daughter has been dealing with anxiety and sleep issues. We are sitting on our porch and I just put this on for her. She is calming! Thank you!! ❤❤❤ May God continue to bless you for your kindness!

I applied for support August 2023 as I show all the signs of being Autistic still got another 70 weeks before my assessment and I’m using this every morning to clear my brain fog and to calm me before going to work.
Mornings are always the hardest trying to motivate my self to get out of bed but I have found this has given me a chance to zone out a little before I battle through the day
