There’s a reason this has been considered the saddest Disney death scene of all time for many reasons: How caring and loving Mufasa is toward his son The line Scar says before throwing him off The look of utter shock and helplessness in Mufasa’s eyes Simba looking on in pure helplessness And we can’t forget the bit where Simba sadly tries and fails to wake up his dad It all just works really well together.
I’d rather listen everyone sobbing uncontrollably or do that sniffling thing with their noses than listening that guy on the top right just making his own unnecessary commentary. Kinda takes you out of the emotional moment.
Chato pra caralho mesmo, o cara não cala a boca momento nenhum, todos falam um pouco e se calam, mas ele não, ele tem que tá falando sem parar 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
My favourite part about this scene is how realistic mufasa’s death is especially for a kids movie, there’s no closure or final exchange between him and simba, and the last bit of emotion he had before his death was one of utter shock and horror as he realises his brother bretrays and kills him. For a kids movie that’s pretty rough but amazing in showing us how evil scar is which makes his defeat that much more satisfying.
When Scar Said:"No One Ever Means For These Things To Happen" Still Gets Me NO Really It Kinda Makes Us Wonder WHY Did The Holocaust And 9/11 Happen? Everytime I Watch This It Makes Me Think About The Survivors Families Who Were Tragically Murdered In The Holocaust And The Victims Of 9/11 And Everyone Remembers Where They Were And What They Did
yes, as there was no closure or last interaction between them, that's why his death of Mufasa feels sadder and that's why Simb couldn't find a way to get over it no matter how much time passed
Special Thanks to Hans Zimmer for this masterpiece of score. "Stampede", "under the stars", " king of the pride rock"...absolute eternal soundtrack! Long live Zimmer!
the part where Simba cries after his dad died broke my heart when I saw this in theaters as a kid and it still breaks me to this very.... very... 🥺😢....😭 I'm not crying.... you're crying 😭
As a child I remember how it hit me very hard when Simba found his father dead. I felt speechless and my heart broken, desperately when Simba tries to wake him up and fails, I didn't want to believe Scar's plan worked; and it even makes it sadder how caring father was Mufasa and then Scar betrays him heartlessly and blames to Simba 1:39 even in this second I was hurt by Mufasa's sad look, I feeling that he was willing to protect his son even if he couldn't save himself, before being suddenly separated from him
Disney used to traumatize us with thier realistic depictions of life and death.... Now they traumatize us with their terrible depictions of life and social anxiety.
There was no reason for Scar to make Simba believe he killed his father if he was just going to have Simba killed anyway. He did that simply to fk with him before his "death". Scar is so evil. But also lazy. Even when he became King he got all the perks with non responsibility. The whole kingdom and land went to sh*t. He was lazy but who did nothing and only wanted more. He so lazy he could have killed Simba himself but made his henchmen do it for him. His laziness was his down fall. Not only Simba coming back but Scar being so unfit for battle made Simba beat him in their fight.
You are correct. Scar is evil and lazy. And telling Simba that he killed his own father as a lie is wrong. Scar believe that being king is about power. And sending all female lions to hunt down all animals are bad. He's turning the entire Pride Lands into wasteland where there's no food, no water and no life on the planet. And yes, the Hyenas kill Scar because he betrayed them.
Scar was the textbook definition of a sadist. Also, Simba never stood a chance, as his birth pretty much ended any possibility of Scar becoming a legitimate successor to Mufasa, so Scar detested his nephew the moment he was conceived.
The part when simba was crying seeing his father’s death, I just wanna hug him so bad, it broke my heart!💔💔💔😢😢🥺😭😢 the most saddest part of Disney history!😭😭😭
What makes Scar so terrifying as a villain, is his narcissism and psychological annihilation that do exist in the real world. And his VOICE 😮 (Jeremy Irons borrows it all the time)
I’d like to recommend Disney’s Tarzan: opening sequence, Tarzan vs Sabor, Baboon Chase, Tarzan vs Clayton and Tarzan ending. Keep the reactions coming. Love them!!!
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this movie, the scene where Simba finds Mufasa dead in the gorge always gets me in the heart. Especially the fact that Scar gaslights Simba into thinking it was his (Simba's) fault.
@@rainbowpegacornstudios Exactly, the way Scar inflicted lasting psychological damage that Simba has to deal with for the rest of his life - not even withstanding taking away his father - is cold-blooded in the worst way, and scariest of all is that it's Realistic. When I was little, I felt so furious at Scar for the betrayal!😅
I think one aspect about Mufasa’s death that I don’t see being brought up often is that there are no closure or final exchanges between him and Simba.
And to top it all, the first five words to instill the guilt in Simba
plus the music in the background was perfect for the scene. Disney shouldn't have stopped making 2D animation
