I had one of those, great little truck that I inherited from my father. Sadly it was totaled by an old man in a minivan. I replaced it with a year old Cherokee that had about 23,000 miles on it. It's twenty years and about 600,000 miles later and I still have the Cherokee.
@@elijahjohnson5872 It's doing fine. My daily driver was in the shop for a week and I drove the old Jeep back and forth to work, (100 miles a day) no problem. A couple of weeks ago I took it on a little road trip, drove it about 300 miles that day, longest drive in one day since driving it Illinois and Michigan in 2015. In the spring I'm planning on taking it on a drive around North Carolina's Outer Banks, one thing I've never done in it.
@@oof4dayz It's a 96. The engine was replace with an excellent rebuilt one about 300k ago (and I've been a LOT more careful about oil changes since). Transmission is original and it's on it's third clutch.
@@JeffDeWitt That is awesome, I have a 2000 Cherokee Classic with 4x4, it has the Toyota-made AW4 transmission and the straight 6, both original but mine still only has 135k miles on it.

thanks for taking the time and upoading, nostalgia and all it's interestimg to see the factory recommendations even when sad lackluster or overly dealer oriented, haha.
really ? i think its tiny, it need a 2 door and longer bed... the small bed is pathetic.. i never understood why people have short bed trucks and cant even put wood in without it hanging out
An oil can in 1989? Either that was old footage or they were using up old stock, because the industry had almost entirely switched to plastic bottles by the late '80s.
Could be. The "Before you turn the key" chrysler video also showed an oil can. I don't think I've ever seen an oil can in person. Well one that still had oil in it anyway.
My brothers Comanche has been customized for rock crawling and it can go mudding but man does it overheat quickly. And when it does it's probably 110 to 140 degrees in the cab and about 240 plus in the engine. And yes it has a working fan and I'm pretty sure the radiator works good as well.
The world made more sense then. At least in the US. Business was business, Christmas was Christmas, music was music. School was school. Now everything is some sort of trick or scam.
I still have my 87 Comanche. Its a shame Jeep doesn't come out with a modern Comanche, but not based on the new Cherokee model that looks like a soccer mom car.
Hello, good evening, I am looking for the video guide for the 1988 Jeep Wagoneer Limited with the 4.0 liter inline 6. By chance they have it and if they published it or where I can find it. Thank you

@jason9022 awful
My dad bought a 1992 Grand Cherokee new from the dealer. I watched the instructional video over 1,000 times as a little kid. This is a throwback! Lol!
Just bought a 1992 Comanche and stumbed upon this video! it was very informative.

I wish the latest truck from Jeep would return like this, not Wrangler based.
Imagine if they started selling XJs and MJs again, they’d make a fortune

Awesome. Look at the old can of oil at 6:08! Surprised the actor didn't have the spout that punctures the can to go with it.
