Roger, Dave, and Nick could do a _fantastic_ tour: watch Roger and Dave's 2010 reunion show. It's never going to happen because Dave doesn't feel like it, which is his prerogative.
That was a very touching tribute from one legend to another. That was a great speech. God bless you David Gilmour and RIP Richard Wright.
More than just colleagues, they were friends as well.
The five of them made music which will never be forgotten or devalued in any way.
RIP Richard Wright, and Roger Keith Barrett.
Roger is still here.

Gilmour, a man who I see as very determined and strong showing his grief in this is very comforting to see. Rick, indeed, was such a vital but easily overlooked part of the band. What an incredible artist he was though.
wow , you can feel his sadness and you can see the effort he made for not cry, i cried ;-(
Very sad to loose Richard Wright. Pink Floyd was the band of my youth. 40 years ago. Thanks to David Gilmour for His words. 😢
I don't know when it started, but theres a long time that i don't drop a tear. Lot of bad things happened, but i kept strong. But this was so much for me. In the end when he stammered... oh, a tear came to my eye. Let's just celebrate Richard's music and person. Long live to David Gilmour, my hero!
David is a true gentleman! ❤
makes me cry every time i watch it... pink floyd forever in our hearts.
David Gilmour is an extraordinary human being, makes me proud to be a human.
every time I see this clip, I almost start to cry, 'cause you can see David is struggling not to start himself. . .bless him and Richard. . .
I have to tell you, I want to cry. Greatest respect for David Gilmour. R.I.P. dear Richard
Rick we all wish you were here ....
This video just fills me with intense sadness. It is clear that Gilmour cannot only convey his emotions through his instruments, he is also a master of the spoken word. I now clearly see his music represents him as a person.
I feel for David and his loss.Richard was a great keyboard player and vocalist for Pink Floyd and one of the best in his field.RIP Richard.
Just how can you not love this man?
He really is struggeling to keep the tears back. Breaks my heart to see him like this.
David Gilmour is just plain awesome, a real class act!
Richard Wright’s was a crucial, vital membership, equally as they all are 💗classic Pink Floyd.
he swallows a lot of tears in this short speech but he
stands his ground bravely
tears in my eyes... :-(
Gilmour is a real gentleman, not only is he the greatest guitarist of all time, hes so humble and laid back, which is very rare when it comes to global superstars. rip rick
Bring me tears even after almost 7 years.
I was 2 years old when the Divison Bell came out as their last album for 20 years, but still Pink Floyd is the main and only reason I started doing music.
Thanks to all of them
Very eloquently delivered whilst supressing his obvious terrible sadness, over the loss of a dear friend.
When David`s voice cracking...it really touched me..you watch this video and then you say,,Wow, David and Richard and the others were, are, and will be the guys who created the best songs of all times! Pink Floyd will be always in my heart!
Gilmour is a gentleman, we need more people like him in this world
I had listened to "Fat Old Sun" before this video and the amount of sadness that has come upon me has brought me down to tears and my throat is locked. We will all guard a small place in our hearts for Mr. Wright.
Extremely touching and genuine.
He tries so hard to hold the tears when he proposes the cheers for Richard Wright...
That hurt me, too.
Rest in Peace, Richard Wright and Syd Barrett.
what an out and out MAN. The respect this man has towards his fellow band members just astounds me. He will keep Rick and Syd close to his hearts forever..
He is such a man, David Gilmour!
Touching tribute to Richard Wright by David Gilmour. It came straight from the heart.
TK
us and them… is Richards song with that jazz chord that turns the song into us and them.. i love you richard… you are so missed on this earth…
David always floors me. It's no wonder he was appointed CBE. Not only is he musically brilliant, he's also a gentleman with class like virtually no other.
Rick is the brightest star up there! He's on the dark side of the moon, waiting for you guys to jam again
David. Emotions still so raw accepts an award to applause but dedicates it to another for their work and being a friend. Here's to you David, praying for your sorrow to be gone and your heart to mend!
great effort not to cry.....old friends.......so hard.....
I don’t know how he managed to hold back his tears? I couldn’t…
David is a true gentleman.
Richard's contribution to the group can never be underestimated. |He was a brilliant musician who's background encompassed a wide variety of musical styles, all of which He brought to the group when needed. I miss Him dearly.
even an english man breaks down on such situation
We break down all the time but we hide in a cupboard while we do it.
Cheers!
Richard Wright was such a humble man. You can hear that in the few interviews he gave. In the same manner, David & Richard were great friends and collaborators who both claimed during the creation process "we read each others minds". His work is is legacy, and his legacy is ageless!
RIP Richard! We miss you too!
What a gentleman. He seems like a man of few words, but he managed to find the right ones for how he felt about Rick and what Rick meant to him. They were obviously good friends. It's just awesome to see David REMEMBER THAT. If only others would follow his example.
1:55 Proper lump in the throat for David Gilmour, and Me, And You, Us and them...
A class act all the way! Cheers to Richard. Thank you David!
"Grazie tante, molto gentili.
Comunque, come ho detto, lui merita questo premio esattamente quanto me… Grazie."
grazie per averlo tradotto in italiano
A Man really swallowing feelings to get through the speech- I ache for His loss of a great Friend. It had to be a hard time-
SIR DAVID : No one does it better than you do. and SHAME on those 31 idiots who disliked it.
What a guy!! Just watchin David Gilmour in all aspects of his life makes you want to be a better person.
R.I.P Rick Wright - The back bone of the Pink Floyd sound!
Dave Gilmour, absolute gentleman!!
God bless you Dave for showing your care for Rick, he was a great musician.
Great Guy. Humble and unpretentious. stood his ground against Roger when it was needed. Love to them all. Thank you, which one is pink?
"stood his ground against Roger when it was needed." What are you referring to?
David Gilmour is so British that he didn't weap, but you could see the sadness in his eyes and you could listen to the tears in his words when he remembered his old pow and collegue. This video creates the same feeling that "The Great Gig in the Sky " on me, a heartbreaking feeling.
Gilmour is a good man, never self-righteous like Waters.
People need to watch if possible the Live version of the song Breakthrough in which Richard Wright composed all of the pieces with Gilmour on guitar simply beautiful
Dave the Big Man!!.
You can't help but get a good vibe from Gilmour when you hear him talk or play.
1:57 Do I hear his voice cracking? T__T
I can't imagine how sad a loss like that is for him...
No matter how many times I watch this, it always brings a lump to my throat. David is such a sweet guy.
the Real Heart of Pink Floyd!!!
Oh God!! Well done David. I have never seen him so moved. He shows his emotions and he is struggeling to keep the tears back. Breaks my heart to see him like this.
