This is why I lost all my family & friends. I speak the truth, in love, but they want the world. As it goes, the closer we get to Jesus Christ our Saviour, the further we get from the worlds desires. 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (KJV) “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” If we are walking in opposite directions there’s no way we can meet up. Someone must turn around, but it isn’t going to be me! The devil may have had my past, but, God gets my future-💯%❣️ I now know what Jesus is worth. Christ Jesus is worth EVERYTHING. Amen ❤️ 💘 💙
I once had a friend who was always saying, “the truth hurts” every time he would say something bad & untruthful about me or someone else. He would twist the Word to his own ends. The truth might make us uncomfortable but lies cause more pain and damage. I finally had to distance myself from this person. But, God can use anyone and I was a doubter; through this person I found God and my SDA church, then was subsequently baptized. I have found great faith and would rather make someone a little uncomfortable than lie to or about them.
At first, i thought that the topics mean if we believe taht the devil exist or not. There are many people who don't believe that the demons, satan, the evils exist truly. We need to believe in God and Jesus Christ to fight truly or ennemy, satan devils
I don't categorize Pastor Doug as part of the SDA leadership. The conference leaders, some are full of crap, I don't think they read their Bibles. I pray for them BUT back it up with the Bible. People in our denomination need to wake up now, not much time is left. Adventist hospitals are serving pork, we have books from other denominations in our ABC's. This has been going on for awhile. So that abortion issue doesn't suprise us. Pray and read the Bible, it's gonna get worse. Many SDA leaders cowar to the masses, the worlds view. We should not fear the worlds view.
Great question. But, not unlike our state or national leadership; we the people may not always agree with those who lead. For instance, if you're an American citizen, are you then personally responsible for the fact that abortion is both legal and performed daily in your community or country? Some would condemn you unjustly for such but that wouldn't be right would it? Likewise, I too am a member of the SDA Church, I know that we have both good and evil leaders but I won't condemn the whole for the few bad apples. I never chose it to be my church based on the people there but the foundational truths that the Bible supports. Likewise, every church organization has those pastors or leaders they wish could disappear but that can't be used to condemn the truth taught or the good members who are faithfully performing what is known to them as truth. Rather always look to the founding teachings of a church and not to those few wicked men or women to judge the whole. Just my 2 cents. Blessings.
Dear Richard, can you give me a reference where or whom it was who stated that? I've looked on the website and see much saying the opposite of what you said they were saying.
Richard De Lange Hello sir, I am not an SDA but I have listened to almost all of Pastor Doug's messages that are available on the internet. He is a bible believing christian and he teaches God's word. He doesn't turn aside in any form. He has spoken out in a message about women being able to be pastors, specifically mentioning that the SDA church made a mistake in voting that it was ok. Not one time have I heard him suggest anything contradictory to Gods truth. I am not saying you are attacking him from your comment, but, I think it should be stated that He should be held accountable for his congregation not of the entire SDA community. God bless you.
So many protestant variations. Why not set up your own church so you can mould God into what you want? Why not just say you are a Christian without doing anything about it such as Not attending Church ?? We have even got ignore the parts of scripture you don't like and pick and chose what books you want in YOUR Bible. Why not throw in a few words from actors and sports personalities?? Be a protestant it really is a free for all.
