For sure not the most exciting video I have ever made, however very necessary unless you want to lose quite a bit of money when doing a transaction with someone. This video is for the people that want to know how to spot a fake $20 :))
if they faked it successfully you wouldn't know it. You maybe just haven't caught a perfectly faked 20.
Yellow dynomite your right. a guy in Canada did it. had the UV strip. face. passed pen test. got the paper from a place in Germany. his bills were as close as you get to perfect.
I have the skills and knowledge how to fake the stripe in the middle that says 50 50 50 50 no problem , I tried it with swedish cash just for fun. I can reveal the technique if you are interested
btw I also find out my own technique how to make the transparent face you can see when you hold it up in fron of a lamp

An even faster way to count 20s is to just count how many you have without making a pile multiple by 2 and add a zero, no piles no slow
Funny I just counted all my 20's before watching this video and that's how I do it. So much easier...
You said that you've never seen all of those things replicated, though if it was faked then obviously you wouldn't notice it because that is what you check for
There are details that change. I have a 1999 series that does not have the yellow 20's on the back.

Thanks. Where I work they only give us the counterfeit pen and never taught us how to actually spot it’s fake & sometimes the pen isn’t available so this will help! Pen does the job but again, not always available
The older ones dont have the yellow 20's on The back. You probably should have noted that. And you didnt know the prez on the 20 hurts your cred

What if it’s an older bill and it doesn’t have a 20 on the back of multiple but us the strip of twenty USA is it fake ?
no microprinting checks, there is a ton of microprinting that you can check if you have the time to as well, but in a pinch this is very very good.

Help, I have a $20 bill that has everything you indicated; the textured coat, the twenty dollar bill strip, the yellow 20's on the back, and the multicolor 20 on the front. But I can't find Jackson's face anywhere when I put it through light, which is supposed to be above the multicolor 20. It also has a marker line that bleeds through the bill. How else can I tell if it's real or not?
Also be careful when handling money sometimes the newer bills get stuck to eachother and you might not notice if you're counting fast like that

I liked this video. Taught me just some quick tips on not getting scammed when I deal with cash. Although I'd like to point out... Maybe you have just never spotted a well done fake? hmm maybe maybe. lol Good job on the video!
How can you tell counting it fast like that ? Are you sure because all are currency is backed by nothing but that paper . Its worthless . Take any bill to a government office and ask for anything in the equivalent in return or exchange for that bill. Gold , silver , anything ? What backs up the bill ? What makes it have the value they claim it dose? What will they give you in exchange for that bill ? What makes it legal tender ? Something must back up the value of the bill or its counterfeit right ? Worthless to the government when presented for exchange for its value . It has none . Yet you can trade it for goods and service's and then they want some in tax on every trade that is made with that bill . It generates value for them . And what do we get in turn for taxes ? Security? Police ? Yes ! Perhaps you'd like a demonstration of what happens when you come trying to find out what you can get in exchange for a bill we created out of nothing but paper , hmm! But if government backs the money supply ?? We also back the police ! Who do you think they will protect ? You or government ? We the people accordingly to the constitution, right? That's what we learned in school anyway. Are they too on the payroll ? Taxpayer funded ! Only today's kids don't get a good education like most people have in the past. Todays kids are lucky to know the pledge or what a republic is in comparison to a democracy . Dumbing them down to little socialist is

That's not how you count money fast. Just count how many bills you have and multiple by 20. If you can't multiple by 20, just count how many bills you have and multiple by 2 and then just add a zero onto the total.

my older brother just gave me $20 for Christmas and it feels like he or somebody printed a fake $20 bill then cut the paper around it.
Another way to spot a fake $20 - look at Jackson's watermark. The fake bill I got yesterday at my job had a watermark of Jackson with a beard. Jackson doesn't have a beard.

I know I'm responding to a 2 year old vid but wanted to add:
Between 2018 and 2019 I *have* seen at least 1 fake with a ridged shirt. It had other issues with it that I could easily see it was fake but take care checking. Don't rely on only one of these methods.
Also many older bills (about maybe mid 90's and older) won't have some of the more "advanced" security features. Except for the ridged shirts. I've noticed even a 1991 20 have a ridged shirt.
The feel and sizes of the bills can many times be a good judge.
And within the last couple years there's been an influx of fakes that have Chinese characters on them. These ARE NOT REAL CURRENCY. They are used by banks to train their tellers. The Chinese symbols (either small red on the back of bigger pink on both sides) mean basically "sample. No value".
As well as bills that are used in the entertainment industry. These will have on the backs (that I've seen) "for motion picture use only" just above where "the United States..." Is written.

What about a 1950 C series $20 bill I just got one from my bank very mint condition in the photo of Jackson it's textured too but it does not have strip in the bill on the side. Bank did use a marker on it and teller did pass it on to me, so it is legit a real one.

How do you not know who are on the bills?
If you want to know who is on the 20 dollar bill, or any bill just look below the picture. The presidents name is right there.
I just got a first. The faker put something on the collar of a 100 bill to make it feel bumpy. The watermark looked like a crayon line drawing and the paper was so thin it felt like regular printer paper. The wierd thing was it passed the currancy pen test.
Probably a cheap pen if it was a fake bill. I just got a new one that works better and has better reviews.
The pen isn’t reliable. Find you a pen with a UV light on it - the strip glows under a UV light.
I count 20s the same way. I judge anyone who does not do it the same way very poorly.

Henslee Hill it has to do with the fact that the register does not give employees the amount they are supposed to give back to the customer, so counting back helps make sure the correct amount is given back

Hey i really liked this video. i enjoy your channel alot. You should do a video about how regional banks are rip offs like bank of America. wells Fargo, us bank. So use lesser known banks like ally, or simple bank. no maintence fees.

I get people who actually get hostile if I check a $5. And that bit of psychology must be why they (fakes) even exist. Whether they wanna listen to me or not, I've seen fake fives, and I've been nailed by one because I didn't wanna make a scene by checking it in front of him. I'll never second-guess myself again. My go-to with every bill, is to check for that texture. It's discreet and most people never notice me do it. But so many fives out there are worn to the point that you can't feel it. If I don't feel it, I'm looking harder. I don't care what you think. I've been called a racist piece of shit and everything but a white man. It's not you; it's the bill, stupid.
