Man, my heart wept for Luz in this episode. Manny sounds like he was an amazing father. Watching her trying to suppress her grief was very hard to watch. I'm glad she was able to open up to Amity. And that Eda cared about Luz enough to let Amity know it was a special occasion for her.
This explained how hurt and broken Luz felt when Eda was captured by Lilith and Belos. She hasn’t lost a parental figure since her father’s death. This episode really defined Luz and Amity’s romance, showing how healthy it is compared to Disney’s other romances. Amity just wanted to understand what Luz’s problem is and didn’t berate or broke up with her. Wished every couple was like Lumity… and Chaggie.
