Don't let your nostalgia ruin new material for you. This is really good, and to say it's not as dynamic or technical as what they used to play/release, that's a bold statement to make considering every song they make is different. Circa never disappoints me, despite seeing the (small) differences in their old and new stuff. I'm just glad they're still around and kept true to their sound.
This song has all the right vibes. Been with you guys since Juturna and you guys haven't left my life. For that I will always love and listen to Circa Survive.
I literally never comment on youtube but good god, circa survive still makes me feel more with their music than any other band ever has, and has remained my favorite band since around 2009
Exactly how I feel! The second half of the song reminds me of a mix between Blue Sky Noise and Decensus. Lol at the guys who are like "get back to the old Circa!" They've never failed to impress.
JenniferBetaNerd exactly!! I can't stand that whole "I only like Juturna and On Letting Go" attitude some people have buuut whatever. They're the ones missing out by not listening to this amazingness!
Michael Novak its just opinions, I *can* stand that some people like or don't like this song, its not personal, doesn't mean they don't like or respect Circa Survive, all it means is they have a preference, which just isn't crazy in any form or fashion. Like, if someone only likes their first two albums, where is the harm or bad intention in that? You like what you like. O.o
Chad Runyan I guess that's true. I probably came on a little too strong there. I'm sure there's plenty of people who only like the first two albums for proper reasons, but I was talking about the people who automatically shut down everything post-those albums just for the sake of being "an OG Circa fan". I know too many people that listen to the new stuff with a complete closed mind for the sole purpose that it's not Juturna or OLG.
What I find weird is that when Blue Sky Noise first came out everyone hated it. Now it seems like that is the new favorite album. All their albums grow on you in time. I've never liked a song when I first heard it.
Don't let this hot fire 🔥 distract you from the fact that Anthony Green has been on damn near every major indie label in the US now, and choose Hopeless for this album.
It's different, but I love it. At 2:30 it all clicks for me - this part of the track was featured in an Instagram video with Will Yip when they were in the studio, and AG sounds incredible as always.
BANDS MATURE AND CIRCA IS AGING FINE LIKE WINE.... The Amulet is an amazing next chapter, and we should be grateful for anything Circa Survive gives us if we are true fans.
Great album! Saw them last night and they sound better than ever live! And I love how the video is an old homemade video when Anthony was probably 12. Hardly recognizable
If anyone hasn't yet, you should all go check out Anthony Green's high school emo band, Audience of One. Really cool to see how he's progressed. Always great music
Andrew Ramirez they made some decent metalcore but not as great as their contemporaries of the time who were really pushing the boundaries. Audience of One have a discography that could rival the likes of I Hate Myself imo.
Been a fan since juturna. After listening to the new album I can confirm I love every song they’ve wrote :) the bridge in this song is so good I get chills
I have read tons of these comments, and everyone is criticizing this song, yet (as of now) it only has 23 dislikes. In my opinion Circa Survive has "peaked" with each new album. Im not saying this because I'm some over hyped fan boy, they just step it up more and more. Can anthony sing those crazy high notes without his voice being raspy? No. But come on guys, that was 12 YEARS ago. Descensus was an amazing album, not to mention the fact that they wrote the entire thing from scratch in two weeks (and this was confirmed by Colin and Nick at the OLG VIP Q&A). This song showcases their willingness to go beyond what they've done before, and they do it well. Anthony may have to "yell" to hit these notes, but the music changed gauge with his voice, so it works. The lyrical composition is still weird as hell. What can you possibly say they could improve on? Lustration proved that they are still going to have some intricate atmospheric songs, but this mixes in as well. (Side note, Anthony said The Amulet is a sort of concept album that has to deal with rebirth and regrowth, and this being the 7th track fits perfectly in the stitch of their sound being "rebirthed")
I don't think I've ever heard Anthony's falsettos be so clear and crisp before, tbh. Just shows what clean living and self improvement will do, I guess. The intro to Lustration... I've never heard a thirty year old man sound like a 13 year old choir boy before, damn!
Christiana Armstrong I wasn't trying to say Anthony isn't talented, he is by far one of the most focused and in-tune vocalists of this music generation. I was just saying its expected that someone's voice change a little over the course of 15 years to have a slight bit more umph to it than before. Obviously he does it on purpose, he shows at a ton of points in this album that he can still sing exactly how he used to. His voice just has more of a raw chesty sound now. If you listen to old Saosin vs new Saosin it barely even sounds like the same singer because he has just gotten his voice much more under control.
Christiana Armstrong yeah I was going to get VIP tickets but I waited 3 days for payday and they were sold out. And after seeing the last VIP show, that was the thing that made it worth the 3 hour drive
I fucking LOVE this what the shit got into Clifford's pants man??? The mix seems slightly off to me though and I have pretty good Sennheisers, lots of bass, Anthony is a little low.

💯💯💯
Last year we had new Saosin. This year we have Circa Survive. Thank you thank you!
Chantz Yes, and don't forget, last year he made an album for his solo career.
next year its new anthony green
Favorite Circa song ever. Hands down. I've been listening to it just about every day for the last 6 months.
I will love this band forever. Always. Such a great song.
He has such a unique voice, no matter what he's singing you know it's him. I like that^^
This song has all the right vibes. Been with you guys since Juturna and you guys haven't left my life. For that I will always love and listen to Circa Survive.

The sound and lyrics are always the best!!!
Anthony's voice is one of the best voices, i've ever heard. I love when vocalists reach their highest tones, and Anthony does it perfectly :3
How on earth did anyone dislike this? Been a Circa fan since the Juturna days, but this is up there among their best work yet!
Exactly how I feel! The second half of the song reminds me of a mix between Blue Sky Noise and Decensus. Lol at the guys who are like "get back to the old Circa!" They've never failed to impress.

Michael Novak because they sound always the same.

I love how smoothly they transition between 3 different time signatures in this song.
Heard this song at zumiez the other day for the first time, and I'm so glad I found this band. Haven't heard something like them since chiodos
My fave from The Amulet. This song is huge.
What I find weird is that when Blue Sky Noise first came out everyone hated it. Now it seems like that is the new favorite album. All their albums grow on you in time. I've never liked a song when I first heard it.

2:29 my heart just exploded
every. time.
It's different, but I love it. At 2:30 it all clicks for me - this part of the track was featured in an Instagram video with Will Yip when they were in the studio, and AG sounds incredible as always.
I wasn't a huge fan of this album at first, but song by song I began to love it
Circa, you continue to blow me away with your creativity and excelling sound.
BANDS MATURE AND CIRCA IS AGING FINE LIKE WINE.... The Amulet is an amazing next chapter, and we should be grateful for anything Circa Survive gives us if we are true fans.
They switch from 7/8 to 6/8 and then back to 7/8, i love it
Based on this and Lustration I think this new album might be their best since Blue Sky Noise!
They have not disappointed, just pre ordered the album, I can't wait Come to the London again it made my year in 2015 xx
The Amulet is shaping up to be amazing! Cant wait for september 22nd! Circa are the best!
such power . this isn't just a song. it's an experience. that's why I love u guys. cheers
Great album! Saw them last night and they sound better than ever live! And I love how the video is an old homemade video when Anthony was probably 12. Hardly recognizable
Steve's drumming is so on point in these grooves.
I'm really liking this new album.

kakashi66132 jeer at Rome is cooler
Andrew Ramirez they made some decent metalcore but not as great as their contemporaries of the time who were really pushing the boundaries. Audience of One have a discography that could rival the likes of I Hate Myself imo.
kakashi66132 literally did this last night randomly and was loving hearing his super old stuff haha so cool to see the progression

YESSSSS. Oh it got me all worked up lol

If this song is anything to go by, This album is going to kick ass!
Man the lyrics are real crafty... props to Anthony
Just a few short hours until I can sit down and digest this new album and fill my ears with this blessing.
Loving this song

Conner Hathaway nice comment. Thanks for the info

Christiana Armstrong finally someone that gets it. Anthony is way more unique than other singers in his range that hes compared to.

Jesus Christ I love this band...
So happy this album comes out on my birthday 💜
I hear some Tool influence on this album. I LOVE IT. Some of the guitar rifts make me tingle and shake! GOD... I love this band!
Me too. The opening fret noise on that throaty bass is so 10,000 days.
Klem Remy was TOOL an influential band for circa?
Circa never fails.
Just saw them in concert for the first show of the amulet tour, such an amazing band
Dropped everything as soon as I saw it on insta
The bass on this one is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 it kinda reminded me of Citizen in a way!
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM!
Slick drumming and great bass tone
So hyped for this album!
Circa can never disappoint
Another absolute masterpiece
Well, gosh darn. I'm getting more and more pumped for September 22nd.

Old Circa Sound, I like it :)
Everytime I hear the line "In time, Youll Know" I get chills. Sang fucking beautifully haha
IM SO FUCKING READY FOR THIS ALBUUUUUM.
Circa Survive is probably the only band I know that didn't get worse as they moved forward. This and lustration are both quality songs
Such Mars Volta vibes. Love it!

The BASS TONE
I wish Circa Survive would tour with HRVRD and MEWITHOUTYOU and also Balance & Composure..
Man, Tobey Maguire's acting career has really come to a grinding halt.
YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAHHHHHHH
the video is genious
I fucking LOVE this what the shit got into Clifford's pants man??? The mix seems slightly off to me though and I have pretty good Sennheisers, lots of bass, Anthony is a little low.
Ryan Utterback he doesn't like his voice high in the mix like it was on Blue Sky Noise.
OOMPH THAT BASS
This one of the only desent songs. Been a fan since 2005 n its gonna take a preaty long time for the rest of the album to sound not so commercial.
Theres that classic Anthony Green fry. I fucking love it. #vocalgoals
Cant wait for the amulet ._.
havent felt this way since get out
"Don't shake the altar, we tasted blood" Any ideas on the meaning of that line?
Fucking yes I love it. The Amulet is going to be fucking great
I wanna hear an Anthony and Tilian collab!!
Dustin McElveen I think anyone who likes DGD and Circa is waiting for that
J the Ram Haha for real!!! It needs to happen!

Circa survive ROCK A LOT!🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸📢📢🎤🎤🎙️🎙️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I get an eraser head vibe for some reason. I'm okay with that.
This is the most political song they‘be done and I love it.
Can you do no wrong CIRCA?!?! Fucking sick
