There is nothing more expensive than a cheap BMW! I have found this out the hard way, multiple times. But it helps us learn as you pointed out. Would love to see the 1 series.

If I think back of decisions I made in life and how much I could've saved if I didn't do this-or-that, it's pretty pointless. You can only go forward. This switch causes a lot of problems that’s why you should check the pressure regularly, NOX is also an other problem with those engines, the problem with the oil pressure regulator is it will clogge up because of dirt so change the oil regularly and use oil cleaner when you get the car
Agreed. Fuck fuck FUCK that engine 😭 Mine ended up in flames, but I enjoyed the injector, NOx, oil pressure and timing chains issues. Oh and the insane bearing noise at cold start, can't forget that lol
@@BigHumz155 holy, mine was starting to have rod knock after timing chain replacement, apparently it was too late because the guides were pretty much non existent, but very existent in the oil pickup tubes.. sold it pretty much immediately

I personally think this engine rebuild failed because it previously had a head gasket blow, it was over heated and the bore and pistons were distorted causing blow by, also as per last video I believe valves on the cylinder number one got damaged and were slightly bent so not sealing causing misfires.

@ 1. he resurfaced a head that was already resurfaced, everyone knows that you never resurface a head for the second time because will happen what it happened to you, and most likely the head wasn’t warped to need resurfacing after it was done already. 2. After you couldn’t figure it out why high compression he told that is because the block was not honned 🤭 So in the end he honned a block and 2 heads, next time take a big ruller and feeler gauge and check if the head is warped or not.

The head was in spec after second resurfacing, you can measure the thickness of it and limits are in the manual, and it wasn’t warped but if you watched the videos we resurfaced it because it was damaged from previous owner installation 2. We discussed the causes for blow by, even if an engine has too high compression it wouldn’t cause blow by with properly sealed and worn in rings. My problem for not using thick enough gasket and not honing block

@@Tyrallis0001 luckily mine did that on its own. The hard-line to injector 2 snapped in HALF and doused the engine in petrol lol
