IMPORTANT: This review was done after I bought this headphone for INR 11,000 ($160), but now this is available widely for around INR 7000 ($100). For that price, this headphone is a really great deal, because that's on ear headphone range, and I don't think there would be a better option, especially in regards to sound quality. I also adjusted the foam inside the pads to be away from the center, this makes them 'okay' to wear for an hour or two (at most) for me, I think people looking for a headphone in $100 price range will find the comfort to be manageable. This headphone sounded great for a $160 wireless option, but this sounds REALLY GREAT for a $100 headphone. Its lightweight and fit on the head also makes it my preferred headphone for gym over my Sony WH-1000XM2, which costs 4 times more. The Sony also doesn't sound 4 times expensive as this (though it has NC, and other very cutting edge features).
This is an amazing review, very fair to the headphones AND the consumer. I say this as an owner, I purchased them for around $135 CAD. Also, regarding comfort, I have a relatively big head and slightly big ears. They stretch out over time and get really comfortable. I used them for 8+ hour flights with no complaints. I've had them for a year now and my only issue is when I use them at the gym as the pads get sweaty (very understandable though, I am exercising with what's essentially earmuffs).
This is how reviews are done, excellent job!!! Great camera work, editing, lighting, sound. and covered all features from comfort to manufacturing quality and even unpacking and went deeper into sound reproduction .
TechReflex : plz do suggest me which headphones should I buy? I have shortlisted these. (1). Plantronics backbeat pro 2. (2) Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT. (3) Skullcandy Crusher Wireless. Quality of da sound is ma first priority. Comfort is ma 2nd priority. I want tight n punch bass n crispy highs. Thanks in advance.
I do not have experience with those headphones, and I am really unsure about how good the plantronics is, but this will definitely have better sound quality than Skullcandy (which isn't even a serious audio brand), though the controls on this aren't great (they are manageable) and comfort could be better on Skullcandy. After using this for a while and adjusting the foam inside the earpads, I can wear them for around an hour, which is the longest period of time I need per session. I've also just got the Sony WH1000XM2, which is three times more expensive, but I can very strongly vouch for its quality in every area.
These are very strong, well made headphones. Quite comfy with thick padding and they stick on your head nicely but may be too tight for some Battery life is amazing One surprising downside I've found is the range isn't as good as my old headphones. I used to be able to listen from nearly one side of the other but with these they cut out from a shorter distance. Overall, they're fantastic. Definitely recommend
I have been using these from a year and I agree with everything he pointed out. They lack instrument separation in high mids-highs and you really need to concentrate to listen to those. Bass is their forte and has gotten punchy since I got them. I have small ears, so comfort isn’t an issue for me.
I just bought theese on sale for around $60 and waiting for a delivery. Thank you so much for this amazing review. I have average ears (I think, didn't measure) and hope they will be comfortable enough because that's very important to me. I'll also try equalizer settings that you recommended if I found it necessary. You definitely deserved (and got) a like on the video and subscribe. Keep up with good work :)
@@vitormelorebelo6510 Hey man, sorry about delayed answer... Technically speaking, they are comfortable. Ear cushions are very soft (never seen/tried softer cushions on any headphones), construction is quiet bendy so you can adjust them however you wish, clamping force is perfect, headphones themselves are very light and so far I didn't have any problems with them warming up (as some reviewers said it could be an issue because batteries, BT module, NFC module, etc. can get pretty warm). Holes in cushions are rather small (and headphones themselves are rather small) but my (average size) ears fit just right into them, so there is no issue with comfortability per se, but I have a problem with "force/pressure" building up in my ears over time (because they fit so well around my ears and there is little to no space around) so I have to remove headphones for a second or at least wiggle them a bit just to relieve that pressure - I don't know if that's everyone's problem or just me, but if you ever experienced that, you will know what I mean. Soundwise, they are good. I'm not an audiophile and I don't care that much about every decibel so I'll just say they are good for what I need. If you want "cheap" Bluetooth headphones - get these. If you don't care about Bluetooth and could spend a little more, rather get some bigger WiFi headphones - that's what would I do if I had bigger budget, but I got these for $60, so... If you have any other question, just ask. Cheers :)
one of the best reviews I have ever seen!!! I just totally trust you, I am looking for headphones with Microphone, and Wireless, Chargeable, Good Sound and Bass and Comfortable to wear and Call picking , controls on the headphones, thats it, NC and NFC is not needed, I can compromise on sound a little bit , but not on the comfort. Any suggestions ? My budget is 5K rupees. ??? The Sennheiser HD 4.40BT is available for 5K rupees now at amazon so I was thinking about this.
Yeah this is really great for 5K, I made this review after buying this for 11K, that's why I was so critical of the comfort. For 5K you are not going to find anything better.
@@TechReflex how about Skullcandy Hesh 2 and JBLe55bt, they are also good Over-The-Ear headphones and are of same price range, so I am confused between these three...
Another very honest review...i had the Sennheiser HD 4.50BT which is basically the same cans with Noise cancelation .. this headphone is one of the most uncomfortable headphones in the current market ..but i found them a tad bit comfortable than the m50x....cause m50xs earpads were too shallow...anyways great jod..n good luck
+Muntasir Tanvir Thanks again :) I adjusted the foam inside in a way so that the stitching on the earpads doesn't touch my ears, which was what made it almost intolerable. Now I can at least keep them on my head for an hour. A small adjustment in earcup design would have made this whole lineup really great as the headphone sounds good and has a great battery life.
I suspect one of the reasons the HM5 pad you tried as shown in the video, other than the opening being larger, was that they were velour pads. That gives treble an additional boost while lessening bass response (which benefits from a good seal). Anyway, thanks for the review. I had been considering these at one point, but having to try different pads to make them wearable made me pass on these, as my ears are quite tall and protrude to the sides a fair bit, too.
EDIT: Never mind, I thought this was the other video on HM5 pads. I have used the pleather version too, there is just too big of a mismatch between drive size and earpad size. =original comment= These are pleather pads, though, I have the velour pads too, they are even worse for m50x IMO (really great for HD598 though). You can try velour pads by Dekoni, they are designed for m50x.
Fantastic review. A couple of questions though. Do these suffer from any latency issues? As in are they fine for movies and TV shows? For a PC, do they need an aptX LL dongle?
Very detailed review! A question: do they support multipoint? (I connect them to two devices, then I press pause on one device and play on the other without disconnecting/connecting). Thanks
well made and nice explanation around the audio experience - I know what it is now without wearing! one thing I look for in all headphone reviews, that most reviewers do not cover is a) how much of outside can be heard (which you covered, kudos) b) how much of inside can be heard outside.. you did not cover the latter and its an extremely important consideration when you use headphones at your workplace.. thanks!
Hey that was good review and pretty insightful especially on how to improve the sound quality. Please upload more reviews on some more high end headphones. I would really appreciate it if you get the chance to review the Bose qc35 ii headphones.
Hello ... I'm getting this one at 4K .... so Which one do you suggest This one or JBL Live bt 400 ? I'm getting both at same price ... basically i need one headphone for gym under 4-5k ...also I'm a bass lover ❤️
Fantastic detailed video. Suggest me do I go for a 950bt or the HD4.40? I am a in-ear earphone user and have used both Sony and presently the Sennheiser CX180. If I go for the HD4.40 your equalizer settings will come really handy.
I don't have experience with 950BT, but I think comfort on it could be better. The sound on Sennheiser should definitely be more balanced and better amongst its competitors. I have Sony's WH1000XM2, which costs around 3-4 times of these headphones, but I think it's totally worth the price, and possibly the best wireless headphone.
TechReflex great. I am looking for something for very sound quality, it can anything in/over ear. Mostly for string instrumental and good balance from both Classical to Rock in the price range of 150$. Can you suggest something.
You'll get the most bang for your buck if you go with Sennheiser HD598, it's wired and open back, but from a pure sound quality perspective, especially for classical music, I don't think any other headphone beats it.
I am planning to buy on this holi.. please suggest me which one I should buy, JBL, Sony , skull candy, or Sennheiser 4.5 or these 4.4 which currently are coming under 7 k. Please reply ASAP. And I don't have big ears btw, my budget is upto 10k or maybe 11.... I too don't need super bass because I wants to hear music for around 3-4 years everyday. But I also don't want very dull bass
@@pureaddiction1836 , okay then I would like to buy them, but few questions,, when did you buy them,, are they comfortable for long hours? How much you listen music, what kind of music is your favourite?
I recently got the updated HD 458BT for only USD80 brand new. For the price these are awesome, sound very much acceptable after little EQed. Got them as backup to my Momentum M3 Wireless. And thanks a lot for the great tip - turning earpads upside down; it does help quiet a much. No need to take them out, just turn. 👍 The towel though is overkill. 😂
Could you suggest best headphone below 6k? With tight and deep bass emphasized upto 2.5-3db, clear nd accurate mids nd highs.. highs boosted upto 2db. Ive shortlisted jbl tune 700bt, 750btnc, live 500bt nd sen 4.40bt. could you suggest between these or any other. Have dropped anker q10 due to lack of bass accuracy
Mate bought this headphones, on wired mode unable to use volume controller or any of the buttons. Also the sound seems much better in Bluetooth mode than wire ( more louder). Is this the same with you?
Hello man ! I really need to know if the better bass on the 4.40 is worth buying it over the 4.50 ( which has noise cancellation ) I really need noise cancellation but if the 4.40 sounds noticibely better than 4.50 I will buy it !
@TechReflex I am confused between Senheiser 4.40BT and sony wh xb-700. Please suggest the best among these. I love bass i thought to purchase skullcandy crusher but these are not available on skullcandy website! so can you please help me
I haven't tried Sony and skullcandy, but if you don't have big ears, I think sennheiser will really be the best. Also the price had reduced by a lot since I reviewed this.
Is it possible you could tell me the measurements (height and width) of the insides of the earcups? I can't try them on and need to know if my ear will fit and be comfortable in the cups
You have to pinch them, and move the pleather of ear pad out in a way so that the foam inside tries to keep it out, doing this multiple times and wearing them will increase the inner horizontal diameter by upto 0.5 - 1 cm.
I have just purchased mine but unfortunately there seems to be a problem with it. It makes a slight noise while connected via Bluetooth and an even worse vibrating noise while charging. While charging, the power button also generates a click sound. Have you had such an experience? Thanks
Hey I want to buy headphones for calling purposes as well(apart from listening to music) I want to know 2 things which matter to me the most. 1. I want headphones from which the person next to me should not hear anything at all. Does the sound go outside the headphones when we play music?? 2. I want to use headphones for calling purposes as well ( since I work in a corporate, I LL have daily calls). Will the other person be able to listen to me properly even if there is background noise ? Is it good for calling purposes? Since that is going to be my bread and butter. Please reply honestly.
1. No, it's very noise isolating. 2. It's okay for calling, in noisy environments you might get the noise into the mic, as it is away from your mouth. So it's good for calling in general, but not in noisy environments.
Hi ! I must say this level of an in-depth review is one of its kind, which is very rare and made me instantly subscribe. An earnest request! Would it be possible for you to give similar review for Skullcandy Crusher Wireless and in the end compare it with Sennheiser HD 4.40BT? I am in a fix between regarding which one to buy. :)
Thanks. Unfortunately, being a small channel, I can only review stuff that I buy personally, so it wouldn't be possible for me to make a review on that one (yet). But from what I've heard, Crushers have better controls and a somewhat better comfort, but Sennheiser sounds significantly better. Also, after using Sennheiser a LOT, the clamping force has reduced and after adjusting the padding inside (which I found out later after making this video), the comfort gets better. I can wear them for 40 minutes without any issue, and for 1 hour if I have to, after which I may have to take a 5 minute break. So if your typical usage is going to be for less than an hour per use, you can definitely go for these. I think these will be more comfortable for most other people, but if you don't like them, you can always return them with Amazon.
can you suggest a headphone with balanced sound within 12k INR? I find your review the best by far, as you have explained all the backend mechanics including frequency response and soundstage. This was very helpful and keep up the good work!
What a review ! Thinking of buying this...Is there anything better now in the same price range of 7.5 k rs ? Please help ! Also which mic are you using in this video ?
Thanks. There won't be anything better at 7.5k, I made this review when I bought this for 11k. The mic in this video is Sennheiser E840 plugged into Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
Sir, I'm confused between 598sr and Sennheiser 4.4BT since it got a price drop and now available for Rs.7500. Please suggest. Further I am not concerned with bluetooth connectivity but with better sound.
I know this sounds a bit weird to do, but I now wear a small cloth on my head and it stretches to cover my ears and the headphone goes on top of it. It prevents the sweat from affecting listening or the headphone without much compromise on the quality of the sound as it's just a cloth.
That was a great review covering all the details. But I have a question, does the sennheiser 598 se need amplifier to get good quality or it works fine with mobile ? Thanks 😃😃
@@TechReflex Thanks a lot to give me your valuable time for reply but please help me by suggesting good headphone under 7500 or near it no matter it is wired, bulky, open back just it has to sound better than hd 4.40 with mobile phone with low impedance.🙏🙏🙏
I bought these headphones around 4 years ago. They sounded so good. They were pretty comfortable to wear. I used them for 4-5 years straight without any ear fatigue or any pain around ears. They have really good battery life. Only thing was its mic picked up a lot of background noise. It lasted for more than 4 years easily without any problems. So unfortunate that I lost them recently.
@@nishakaushik345 The mic catches a lot of noise when on call. Headphones are amazing but the mic may disturb you in online lectures if surrounding is noisy. You can go for the same with ANC in that case.
You missed to mention about the call quality just in case one has to take it while listening to music, please let me know about that. Is the person on the other side able to hear you clearly while you're using these headphones ?
A mic test was there, call quality is deliberately not mentioned, because it can be affected by a lot of factors like signal strength, phone etc. Although, yes the call quality is good too.
Hi I've been using Sennheiser CX275 since 5 years now. I'm considering an upgrade. I'm confused between Sennheiser 4.40 BT, ATM50X, Sennheiser 598 CS and Bose QC 25. I'm not a fan of extra bass. Comfort would be my top priority as I would have them on for at least 6 to 8 hrs a day. I've try a different model of AT and the bass was too high and became a pain to ear and over a period of time I've developed loyalty towards Sennheiser. Which one do I really go with? P.s. my usage would be both via laptop and mobile phone.
598 CS will have the best comfort and sound quality. I also have a video on m50x vs HD 598, and I don't recommend m50x to people unless they're doing audio work, and they will make your ears bleed (not really). Try going for open back HD 598 if you can, though, 598 CS should also be great. 4.40 BT Is a wireless headphone, and does not have as good or a sound quality as wired headphones in the same price range.
TechReflex Firstly, thanks for the quick response. Appreciate it. I usually use them in office and unfortunately we do not have cubicle systems. From what I've heard, there is a sound leak in 598 open ones.
Is it possible to turn off the side tone with these headphones? I don't want to have to hear myself and ambient noise around me while I'm using them, and can't seem to find a way to disable that 'feature'
Hi there, I would like to know if there is any visible serial number or Manufacturer Part Number of the headphones when you change the earpads Great review, thnak you!
Hi ! I just bought these headphones, but since my phone has a very very short battery span, I want to use it wired. Now I find out - after purchase - that I cannot use the buttons on the headphone while using the cable. So this means I cannot switch songs/take a call. Is there a way I can "fix" this?? or should I just go back to the store and try to change it for another headphone?
You can't use the extra functionality in wired mode. Unless you go for a wired headphone, you won't be able to find a wireless headphone that will allow you to switch songs or take calls in wired mode. You can go for Sennheiser HD598 SR if you don't need wireless, it'll give you your needed functionality.
This may sound like a dumb question, but do these sound better than the default wired Apple Earpods? I only ask because I've bought Sony headphones for the price of these Sensheisers that sounded wayyy worse than Earpods
Please help me. I bouth these 4.50 btnc headphones but i noticed some minor cracking sound when the base is strong (listening to electronic music) and when i put pressure on the sides of the headphones the cracking sound of the base dissapeares.. Because these are the only ones that i tried, I dont know if this is an anomaly or are all these headphones with the same feature. It is not the sound of a clear base.. Best i can describe is when you put music too loud on a speaker that he gives not clear sounds and cracks..
I like your this review also, very much informative,.. thx for making this and also for Eq settings , can u suggest us which brand Ear-pads are good for these(as a replacement) without disturbing the sound production ?
Thanks, I have only tried HM5 pads, but if you use equalizer to turn down the highs after using a bigger earpad, it can sound sort of 'fine', the bass does suffer, but if you're going to use them for listening to movies/videos they are going to be fine. I think most earpads available on market are going to have a similar issue, as none of them have a small opening like this one. What I am doing currently is that I have shifted the foam inside, to the outside (out towards the circumference of the earpads) of earpads in a way that the stitching doesn't touch your ear, and the opening becomes a little bigger too, so now the stock earpads are comfortable enough for me to wear for an hour, which is much comfortable than they were before. I discovered that after I made this video, and it's kind of difficult to express in words, I might make a video on this if people do want to see it. So now they are usable for me for the short period of time that I use them (~1 hour) while eating food, though I wouldn't want to wear them for watching a 3-4 hour long movie.
Hi, great video, very informative! I think I have your issue fixed: Use Sennheiser's own Momentum 2.0 replacement pads(or Amazon/ebay equivalents), they are almost the same size externally, while allowing much more room inside. Trying them out myself as soon as they get here in a few days. I got this tip from another commenter on youtube, we are truly here for each other :-)
Michael Livote Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out the Momentum 2.0 earpads, and the measurements and shape do seem like a very good fit for these headphones, will try to get my hands on them. Also, do post your experience with the pads when you get them. :)
Well, it seems I made the mistake of trying to save a few bucks by going for Momentum 2.0 knockoffs on Amazon, they are the right size but are poorly made so they won't install properly (the edges were too thick and too distorted to get it seated properly). This did of course want to make me call Sennheiser and order the real deal from them. Will do so next paycheck :-) Hope you do the same, good luck with it!
Hi Can u suggest a decent headphone wired , within 10k, with microphone , decent passive or active noise isolation, comfortable fit for longer usage, sound requirement not much high, need it for office use- mainly noise isolation, calls, comfortable. Thanks.
Hi buddy, so according to my budget I'm having difficulty making my final decision, please let me know what you think from the following: Sennheiser HD 4.40, Sony WH-CH700N, JBL E55BT, Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2? Which would you choose to buy, looking for a day to day / go to headphone that will last for quite some time and I appreciate good quality / crisp sound with good quality bass but not necessarily very deep bass. Hope to hear from you soon, thank you and keep up the great reviews! :)
Hi. Enjoyed your in depth review. I recently bought Sennheiser HD 4.50 Special edition for ₹ 6741 (more than 50% discount). However the noise cancellation (highlighted feature of 4.50 compared to 4.40 & I extended my budget only for this feature) SUCKS. Also ears get heated & painful after 1 hour (I have medium sized ears & they fit barely). My priority is studying (long hours comfort + noise reduction). Should I return those or could you suggest anything better in this price range. Thanks in advance.
Yeah, it didn't get much with time, you can move the foam inside the pads outwards from center to make them more comfortable, but it won't get good enough for your purpose with time. Though, with that said, I don't think that there's anything better in the price range ( I bought these for 11k), for long hours comfort + amazing NC, I could recommend WH-1000XM2 or QC 35 II, but they cost 4 times as much.
TechReflex Can I use HD 598 earpads? Have you found any other pad replacement? P.S. I used the tip for turning upside the cups to avoid stitching. They do reduce pain on ear lobes. Thanks. Also I discovered if you tilt the pads slightly (say 5-10° from axis) it aligns better with the ears
No way, HD 598, HM5, M50X etc. No pad would for these. I even complained about this to Sennheiser, they said that they designed it this way because of the 'user feedback of wanting small earcups'.
Bruh Just subscribed to your channel & keep up the good work and can you help me out and clear some of my doubts ? I just bought these Headphones 1 week ago and no matter if I am using these with Android phone or iPhone 5s while using these cans in Bluetooth mode volume is bit lower than as compare to wired mode. Is it just me or you are also Experiencing it too ? Also why Bass is presented more tightly & Mids & Treble have bit more detail while these cans are being used in BT mode as compare to Wired mode ? Also I own m50x from one year now and Do they'll be benefited from 4-5k Rupees DAC/amp or not ?
Thanks. Did you make sure to raise the volume on both the phone and headset? Because both volume levels are individually controlled, I really didn't find the volume to be lacking on these. Even at max volume in wireless, the volume on wired mode will be higher because you can push as much current as you want in through the wire. Your m50x will definitely benefit from 4-5k DAC/Amp, m50x are very revealing headphones so a DAC/Amp makes a significant difference. Fiio E10k is the most popular choice, which does make a significant difference, makes the bass cleaner, tighter, and increases the soundstage, and most importantly, controls the harsh highs on the m50x, I don't recommend using m50x without at least something like an E10K because the highs are too harsh for me to be able to enjoy them, I'll make a review of Fiio E10K soon. If you're planning to upgrade headphones soon, to a Rs. 30k+ headphone like HD600, then you should skip on E10K and get an O2 (or any similar amp available) + ODAC/SMSL Sanskrit DAC, but otherwise, E10K will be good enough for most headphones in the 10-15K range.
Thanks for responding bruh And yes, These HD 4.40 do retain 80-85% volume as compare to wired mode. & How about FX Audio DAC-X6 ? Will it better option as it's available for 66-67$ only ? As I do really love sound details of M50x and these definitely sound better and more detailed than HD 4.40 but still I do enjoy relaxing & warm sound of HD 4.40. So bruh which Headphones should I get next that will literally blow my mind ? And will 12-20k max will be enough for that pair of headphones with such magical sound ? Or should I wait for Massdrop HD 6xx version ? And any more good options ?
+Hidan Nama That FX Audio DAC is decent too and should be a better option than Fiio E10K. That being said, M50x isn't that great of a headphone for enjoying music (review coming soon, though you could check out my M50x vs hd598 video for a summary of it). If you want to have your mind blown, you could definitely get something from Massdrop, though the problem is that HD6XX (or anything by Sennheiser) doesn't get shipped to India and I've been wanting to get that for a long time too. I do have the Hifiman HE-4XX though which costs around 18k after customs and is enough to have ones mind blown, but NEEDS something like an O2 (Not sure how powerful the AMP of DAC-X6 is).
Thou do you think there is any better option under 10-12k which can outperform M50x when it comes to Treble details with that tight punchy Controlled bass and really detailed mids ? And what do you think, Are they Great Headphone for their Price point and in my opinion their versatile use and undoubtedly sound quality makes them really good option or even better option than Hd598 & dt770 which ain't portable or travel friendly Headphones ).. and many people say dt770 sound a little bit better than M50x and these do stack up against Hd598's in terms of Sound quality if I ain't wrong. Or there is actually any other great option which sound better than M50x under 12k bruh ?
1. M50x has accentuated treble, recessed mids, bass isn't that controlled (try listening to some other headphones). It's fine for electronic music though. 2. HD598 sounds better for general listening, their mids, soundstage, controlled highs blow M50x away, detail isn't everything, presentation matters too. I only use M50x for editing sound in my videos. 3. DT770 might be better, haven't tried them. 4. M50x is fine after using equalizer, the main issue for me was comfort, as most other headphones are quite comfortable than m50x. 5. I think HD598 makes a great addition with M50x, I used HD598 over M50x 80% of the times. 6. It's better to buy 1 great headphone than buying 2-3 headphones in the same price range. If you already have m50x, another closed back headphone may not be worth it, though HD598 is great to have along with it.
Someone just bought it for me for $85 as an offer :)
TechReflex hey brother please suggest me best open back headphone under 10k
Dhruv Savaliya Sennheiser HD 598 SR.
TechReflex Sir your voice is crystal clear and so is the point you are conveying. Very good job Sir keep going.
Hey, thanks for this very detailed review!
LOL... "Comfort is a complicated matter for these headphones".... Good one!!!
Wdym?
Thank god a educated reviewer . Good job.
Thank you.
jesus loves you
This is an amazing review, very fair to the headphones AND the consumer.
Thanks :)
I really like this detailed review! Others usually don't go too deep so this one is a must watch before you buy.
"they have a bump in the 1kHz point in the frequency range so just turn the 1kHz point down about 3dB" god damn this was a good review.
Thank for video. I used the equalizer you suggested and the sound became natural.
Welcome. :)
This is how reviews are done, excellent job!!! Great camera work, editing, lighting, sound. and covered all features from comfort to manufacturing quality and even unpacking and went deeper into sound reproduction .
Thank you. :)

TechReflex : Thank u for da feedback. I must audition sennheiser n plantronics so that I can take a decision. Tq.
holy fffffffff awesome content, keep up your job, you are killing it
Very well made review 👍 You have addressed issues which are rarely taken up by others. Good job ✌️ Subscribed.
Thanks!
These are very strong, well made headphones. Quite comfy with thick padding and they stick on your head nicely but may be too tight for some
Battery life is amazing
One surprising downside I've found is the range isn't as good as my old headphones. I used to be able to listen from nearly one side of the other but with these they cut out from a shorter distance.
Overall, they're fantastic. Definitely recommend
Thank you for such a complete review. 👍🏻
+SSEDummyPlug welcome :)
I have been using these from a year and I agree with everything he pointed out. They lack instrument separation in high mids-highs and you really need to concentrate to listen to those. Bass is their forte and has gotten punchy since I got them. I have small ears, so comfort isn’t an issue for me.
That's what I call an exhaustive review! Keep em coming my friend.
Thanks!
Please, tell me about the comfort when u can :D
Cheers :)
Thanks Man!! Awesome answer 😅😅👍👍👍
one of the best reviews I have ever seen!!!
I hope you include eqs for everything, it's very nice to have.
Fabulous review thanks buddy
Omkar More Haha regret it brother. Sound is ok. Get a sony for half the price instead.
A small adjustment in earcup design would have made this whole lineup really great as the headphone sounds good and has a great battery life.
dude fantastic review. right to the point. not sounding philosophical and backed by evidence. thank you for this. subscribed.
Thanks :)
Wow, the EQ adjustment tips to make it sound better are really helpful! Thanks so much for that!
Damn you really cover everything, I just subscribed.
Thanks!
=original comment=
These are pleather pads, though, I have the velour pads too, they are even worse for m50x IMO (really great for HD598 though). You can try velour pads by Dekoni, they are designed for m50x.
@@TechReflex Thanks for the reply, that's useful info. :-)
Thank you for the equalizer settings!
Great review!
Fantastic review. A couple of questions though. Do these suffer from any latency issues? As in are they fine for movies and TV shows? For a PC, do they need an aptX LL dongle?
Yeah they are completely fine. I am using AptX dongle (non LL) on PC, and they sound completely in sync.
Thank you!
Very detailed review! A question: do they support multipoint? (I connect them to two devices, then I press pause on one device and play on the other without disconnecting/connecting). Thanks
+Diego Giorgini Yes, they do support multipoint, I've tested it with my phone and PC being connected at the same time.
Thank you very much!
The sound of the headset when i play games is a little high pitched is there a way to fix this or is it normal?
well made and nice explanation around the audio experience - I know what it is now without wearing! one thing I look for in all headphone reviews, that most reviewers do not cover is a) how much of outside can be heard (which you covered, kudos) b) how much of inside can be heard outside.. you did not cover the latter and its an extremely important consideration when you use headphones at your workplace.. thanks!
How good will be sennheiser 4.50 btnc?
I have big ears as well.
Is there any good replacement for ear cushions without sacrificing sound quality?

Hey that was good review and pretty insightful especially on how to improve the sound quality. Please upload more reviews on some more high end headphones. I would really appreciate it if you get the chance to review the Bose qc35 ii headphones.
Thanks. My next review is going to be of Sony WH-1000XM2, which I believe are better than qc 35 ii in most aspects.
Great video bhai, and great review. I subbed cause you earned it.
Thanks!
Hey Sidarth! can you tell me which is the best replacement earpad on Amazon India for this headphone?
Hello ... I'm getting this one at 4K .... so Which one do you suggest This one or JBL Live bt 400 ? I'm getting both at same price ... basically i need one headphone for gym under 4-5k ...also I'm a bass lover ❤️
thank you bro. i need to find headphone that are comfortable to wear for a long time.
thanks for the review, from canada
Welcome :)
Good Reasearch man...............explained in a very crispy way though very to the point which is very good.
Wonderful Review! Came here for the first time and like your review a lot! Thanks.
Thanks, check out the newer videos they are much better. :)
I really appreciate your reveiw mate, and now I'm watching your video again while wearing them.
Insightful review..better than so called tech reviewers out there
Thanks :)
Great thorough review man. Thanks
Go for skullcandy crusher .. May God save your ears

Best review of all i have seen
I recently got the updated HD 458BT for only USD80 brand new. For the price these are awesome, sound very much acceptable after little EQed. Got them as backup to my Momentum M3 Wireless.
And thanks a lot for the great tip - turning earpads upside down; it does help quiet a much. No need to take them out, just turn. 👍 The towel though is overkill. 😂
Nice technical information and corrections advised. Hope the work out
Could you suggest best headphone below 6k? With tight and deep bass emphasized upto 2.5-3db, clear nd accurate mids nd highs.. highs boosted upto 2db. Ive shortlisted jbl tune 700bt, 750btnc, live 500bt nd sen 4.40bt. could you suggest between these or any other. Have dropped anker q10 due to lack of bass accuracy
Mate bought this headphones, on wired mode unable to use volume controller or any of the buttons. Also the sound seems much better in Bluetooth mode than wire ( more louder). Is this the same with you?
Everything in wired mode is controlled by source, so you can't use buttons. Your source must not be able to drive these headphones to high volume.
Video quality was great for that I am subscribing you👍👍
Is it possible you could tell me the measurements (height and width) of the insides of the earcups? I can't try them on and need to know if my ear will fit and be comfortable in the cups
Vertical inner / outer diameter: 6 cm / 8.8 cm
Horizontal inner / outer diameter: 3.5cm / 6.9cm
My pads are a little stretched out.
You have to pinch them, and move the pleather of ear pad out in a way so that the foam inside tries to keep it out, doing this multiple times and wearing them will increase the inner horizontal diameter by upto 0.5 - 1 cm.
Wow. Such an awesome review! Congrats
Thanks!
I have just purchased mine but unfortunately there seems to be a problem with it. It makes a slight noise while connected via Bluetooth and an even worse vibrating noise while charging. While charging, the power button also generates a click sound. Have you had such an experience? Thanks
No, I haven't had such issues while being connected with Bluetooth, though I haven't used it while charging.
Hi. I am looking for over ear headphone with extra bass.Which one do you feel is good in the the range of 5-6k
Thanks in advance
I was checking it against sony mdr xb650bt. Looking for a bluetooth one
This one is the best. 4.40bt

Thank you for saving my money.

Hey
I want to buy headphones for calling purposes as well(apart from listening to music)
I want to know 2 things which matter to me the most.
I think these will be more comfortable for most other people, but if you don't like them, you can always return them with Amazon.
clear and precise...thumbs up for you
The video is much informative. Thank you :D
+raneeta pal Thanks! :D
Very informative.. supposed to buy it.. Thank you
Right now it has similar pricing with ath m50x . Which one do u recommend. I already hate the bass of sony xb 450.

can you suggest a headphone with balanced sound within 12k INR? I find your review the best by far, as you have explained all the backend mechanics including frequency response and soundstage. This was very helpful and keep up the good work!
Does mic works when connected with aux cable? If not work with aux inside box, does it work if aux has mic??
HD598 SR is has a much better sound quality and is a lot more comfortable.
I know this sounds a bit weird to do, but I now wear a small cloth on my head and it stretches to cover my ears and the headphone goes on top of it. It prevents the sweat from affecting listening or the headphone without much compromise on the quality of the sound as it's just a cloth.
Great review bro. I am really impressed with ur review. U r more professional than other youtubers. I am using senhiser 4.40 bt I loved it
Where can I find HD 4.40 BT Ear Pads? after 2 years of use they have been worn off pretty bad

Haven't tried HD 569, but HD 598 is better sounding, and HD 569 should also sound better than this.
Does the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable enable wired use for both mic and headphones on PC?
No, it's audio only, you can't use headphone mic with PC with any kind of cable, you'll have to get a cable with mic attached.
Very nice analysis brother. Great. Keep it up
Thanks
Hello, i have the HD4.50bt model which is almost same. I want to use that for gaming on pc, Can you suggest any mic solution along with it?

That was a great review covering all the details. But I have a question, does the sennheiser 598 se need amplifier to get good quality or it works fine with mobile ? Thanks 😃😃
It works fine with mobile.
@@TechReflex Thanks a lot to give me your valuable time for reply but please help me by suggesting good headphone under 7500 or near it no matter it is wired, bulky, open back just it has to sound better than hd 4.40 with mobile phone with low impedance.🙏🙏🙏
Yeah, 598 is perfect, watch my m50x vs HD598 video, it isn't a review for HD 598, but it says a lot about it.
I want to use them to take lectures is it fine with that kinda stuff cuz I am getting these for way less?
@@nishakaushik345 The mic catches a lot of noise when on call. Headphones are amazing but the mic may disturb you in online lectures if surrounding is noisy. You can go for the same with ANC in that case.
Is it worth 5000. Can you please suggest best wireless headphone (over the ear only) below 6000
fantastic review keep it up bro !!
Thanks
You missed to mention about the call quality just in case one has to take it while listening to music, please let me know about that.
Is the person on the other side able to hear you clearly while you're using these headphones ?
A mic test was there, call quality is deliberately not mentioned, because it can be affected by a lot of factors like signal strength, phone etc. Although, yes the call quality is good too.
Hi
I've been using Sennheiser CX275 since 5 years now.
I am sure 598 CS will be the best choice in that Cas. E
TechReflex Also, would the audio quality on 4.40 improve if I'm using it via a cable (most of the time)? Thanks in advance.
TechReflex Done deal. (Y)
Is it possible to turn off the side tone with these headphones? I don't want to have to hear myself and ambient noise around me while I'm using them, and can't seem to find a way to disable that 'feature'
Hi there,
I would like to know if there is any visible serial number or Manufacturer Part Number of the headphones when you change the earpads
Great review, thnak you!
Yes, there's a serial number along with other compliance marks when you remove the earpads.
Thanks for your anser. The serial is on the right or the left earcup, or both of them?
Thank you again,
It's not on both of them, I think it's on the left one, but it could be the other way.
You have all the qualities to become a good utuber.. nice presentation
Thank you.
This may sound like a dumb question, but do these sound better than the default wired Apple Earpods? I only ask because I've bought Sony headphones for the price of these Sensheisers that sounded wayyy worse than Earpods
Its work for gaming and multimedia with the adaptor creative bt w2 connected to the pc to get aptx low latency?
Please help me. I bouth these 4.50 btnc headphones but i noticed some minor cracking sound when the base is strong (listening to electronic music) and when i put pressure on the sides of the headphones the cracking sound of the base dissapeares.. Because these are the only ones that i tried, I dont know if this is an anomaly or are all these headphones with the same feature. It is not the sound of a clear base.. Best i can describe is when you put music too loud on a speaker that he gives not clear sounds and cracks..
Very detailed and excellent review.....🤗 Now i am going to buy this in 2020
I like your this review also, very much informative,.. thx for making this and also for Eq settings , can u suggest us which brand Ear-pads are good for these(as a replacement) without disturbing the sound production ?
Will do, they are getting here tomorrow (Feb. 5th) :-)
Thanks.
HD 598CS, but that's not available in India at the moment.
Thanks for responding bruh
And yes, These HD 4.40 do retain 80-85% volume as compare to wired mode.
