Thoroughly enjoyable, good safe ride considering your time away. Its not what you ride but where you have ridden! Small engines have less inertia due to less moving weight so they always seem smoother.
Get the Vstrom it's great bike and spare parts are available in most if not all countries. Reviews recommend it because it's easier to do maintenance on it. I'm getting it by yr end
Funny how this old video has come up today, just as I've just traded in my gtr1400 for a v strom thou, already got an old 650. Getting older and need something lighter. Hope you are doing well Neil.
Thanks Robert, you too. Yes, a heart incident meant I had to downsize from the RT so I got a Monster last November. Absolutely love it? What do they say about every cloud?! The Vstroms a lovely bike. Happy trails 😎
Not long to wait now. Hadn't realised the bike I ordered would take so long to deliver! The dealer had 60 to prepare so I've had to be patient, but rest assured, I'll be posting the result as soon as I can ...
Nice friendly wave from another rider who (after passing you) rams on the anchors and turns left. Your a more forgiving man than me, I would have shown my displeasure (pointlessly I know) in no uncertain terms.
Great video! Couldn't agree more on the subject of sensitive throttle.
Hi Ian, that's interesting. I wonder whether it is something Suzuki could tweak in the workshop?

Great review Mate, really enjoyed it. Greetings form South Australia.
Gooday, and glad you enjoyed it. It's a lovely machine.

Yes, it's a lovely bit of kit Sam. You'll enjoy it.
I bought the V-Strom 1000; it’s awesome! I’ve ordered a taller screen with a spoiler (Puig) as I was getting buffeted at higher speeds.
XT or standard, would you prefer?
XT adds wire wheels, tapered bar, hand guards, and some plastic chin cowling.
If it was just a workhorse for commuting I'd go for the standard. Anything over that (touring or a bit of off-road) it would be the XT.

Can you stick a link to the ‘Canadian Company’ that does the additional lighting please?
Here you go Cloggsy admorelighting.com/ and ruclips.net/video/i0wr84qMsGA/видео.html. Nice kit, but you'll need deep pockets ...
Back2TheBike Seems to be the way with most bike kit these days 😖
When’s part 5 due?

Back2TheBike Oooo... Intriguing...
How did you manage to get such a long ride for a test ride?
Hi Roger, I didn't have to ask they just offered. I have to say nobody yet has imposed much a time restraint on these rides.
