Reminds me of in Childs Play 3 Chucky jumps out at an old man to kill him. But the shock of being scared by a living doll makes the guy have a heart attack and Chucky doesnt even kill him and just watches the guy and says "You got to be Fucking kid me!" lol its a pretty good kill I thought.
I enjoy this game's self-aware, snarky tone. I think these atmospheric, text-based games have been some of the best recently; stuff like Faith and The House Abandon. Minimises the chances of the game killing itself via janky animation, recycled assets and bad voice acting. Also, this dev better give us a Johnny Knifeblaster spin-off game, because that name is too good to waste.
Real weird that the killer seems to have an obsession with your childhood teddy bear, also having set up a secret underground lair in _your_ house, apparently going in and out multiple times without your knowledge. Really seemed like it was setting up to be you being the killer all along, but then he just comes down and you finish it up like all that didn't matter.
The killer could have been a main character's long forgotten child relative/playmate with sadistic tendencies, cast away in his youth and returning to kill MS as he blames him for all his failures or nostalgic and trying to realize his childhood fantasies.
"Good evening, Sir! Your landlord sent me here for the monthly fumigation! I hope you don't mind if I get started in the basement, it shouldn't take---OH GOD WHY AM I ON FIRE!?!?!?!"
We really do need more of horror games about home invasion. It's a topic that resonates with a lot of people and I think a lot can be done with that premise.
Vinnce12 I'm honestly glad there's not too many games out there about it, though. It would be a shame to see it become another overused concept, and see the ones we have now that are actually good be undermined by half-baked games that are usually only made to hop on the bandwagon
John this reminds me of a flash game called “intruder” its a really high quality one which is also about a killer, he’s in your house while you arrive home and you have to make your through to find your wife. I highly recommend it it is very unsettling especially for a flash game
It's going to be pretty difficult to play that now that browsers no longer support Flash for some reason, but if it's on Newgrounds then it should be fine since they're one of the few that created their own flash player so that their site can still be used

I looove text games, and this is a great one! It strikes a wonderful balance of creepy and funny. I want to get it myself to try out some of the different endings! For now, it's on my wishlist, ready to be picked up when I have extra cash. =P

Funny enough if you order pizza on the phone, the delivery guy always beats the murderer.

Why are these shorter games almost always better than the longer ones, jeez..
you can properly display your ideas and mechanics, the atmosphere stays tense, it's doesn't feel stretched or dragged out, etc.
Shame they're so short. I mean I wouldn't mind 100 of these neat little horror games. Style is completely fresh.
