      I assume you are referring to the second line of the refrain. This choir group is American, not British. The original version had this line as "While you've a Lucifer to light your fag." This wording is problematic for modern American audiences. Americans have no idea what a Lucifer is, and "fag" is a homophobic slur. I actually think the new version of "Don't let your joy and laughter hit a snag" compliments the first line a bit better for the overall theme of the song.

      @Niroshani Seneviratna As another commenter explained, this choir is not British; it is American. Lucifer is not really a word known to American listeners. As well as this, the line "While you've a Lucifer to light your fag" also has "fag" in it, which is now a homophobic slur. Hope this helped!
