OMG! This is so informative, interesting, had me on edge of seat. I suffer from anxiety, and felt that this helped me relax. 😊 Love listening to birds, and this has given me another interest, to take a step further, and get some techy stuff, like a parabolic microphone and digital voice recorder, thanks Seán, well done, and the program RET 1 lastnight, had me gripped aswell🎉

    🤩😍
Amazing creatures of this planet, too many humans don't realise, or just forget, that it's completely and undeniably their home as well, and if we took the time to see and discover it, they all are, no matter what size, shape, color, species or races we may all be, we should never underestimate any other species, and put ourselves as a human animal species, above any other, there's no us, without them, but on the contrary, they're totally fine, without us !

Got goosebumps every time a bird call was played for the audience. Best part: the story (and recording) about his dog and the Eurasian jay mimicking the dog. He should start the talk with that...thanks to The Guardian newspaper for their recent article on Sean, which led me here.
I have a little Olympus recorder like Sean has. I may stick it on a window sill to see if I can hear migrating birds at night. Thanks Sean.

Sean, Beautiful and important work. Continue to follow your passions, even obsessions. Sweet music though the birdsong is, the birds do need other vocal spokespersons. I watched ‘Birdsong’ (from distant shores) on the RTÉ Player last night (Thurs, May 30th). Hope you and/or its producers and director plan to air it far and wide. Will be in touch via separate means to offer whatever help I can. (The birds and you deserve all the help you can get but by way of added incentive, not that any is needed, the Ronaynes figure strongly on my mother’s/grandmother’s side).
