Bought it just a few years before Ruger discontinued them, although they will still service them (I sent mine in for reconditioning a few years ago, and ruger was awesome. Awesome video, you were really reliving those old memories thanks for sharing the experience with us. You really loved shooting that gun, I think it's up there with your favorites. Do another video with it !
My first gun was a Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag (still have it) and my second, but first semi-auto, was the Ruger P-89 DC. Don't have the P-89 anymore and now, after watching this video, I've got an itch that I'm trying HARD not to scratch. Thanks for THAT Scott! Glad to see you are healing up well btw. God bless you sir!
Well lets be honest, most gun channels are pretty similar to each other. Most of them are never ending variations of " here's a gun I was given or I bought with all my youtube money, lets go shoot a bunch of typical things that we can buy from walmart and then say how much we love the gun and how reliable it is." Scott does a pretty good job of putting his spin on it and is quickly falling into the niche of big bore revolvers, which I myself happen to like. I'm a little tired or seeing 9mm do the same thing all the time.
My first handgun was a SIG Sauer SP2022 9mm which I bought a couple of years ago. Great gun all around and I really like that it's DA/SA since that's what I grew up shooting. I really wish I had my dad's Walther P38 but sadly, it got sold off before I could grab it. My first revolver which I just bought last month is a stainless Ruger GP100 with a 4" barrel. It's a total beast of a gun and I absolutely love it.
Scott man, your characters are the best! That genie was something else, Scooter, Tactical T-Rex of course, and now the biker dude! Reminds me of Lobo, the main man!
My dad gave me a p89 when i was 9. Anytime we went out in the woods he let me carry it. I'm 23 and i still carry it as my edc. it's a tank and I've never had a jam after thousands of rounds of ALL types of ammo including reloads my great grandfather made in the 80's and 90's. Dad had a p93dc and same story with that one. OLD SCHOOL COOL!
After a night I can't remember, I found an economy size can of whipped cream. Shot it with a .357. It flew 20 yards, hit my shooting glasses and covered me head to toe in whipped cream 🤦♂️
My first handgun was a ruger Blackhawk 357, when I was 14 or so, the first handgun I purchased as a adult (right on my 21st birthday) was a AMT/OMC backup in 380...in its day a very popular backup for law enforcement.
Cool beans, the first two handguns I remember shooting as a child was dad's Ruger 22/45 and mamaws s&w model 38, good stuff my first handgun (first gun period) was a 1851 colt navy replica in 44 cal, I sure miss that gun wish I had my first too.
My first handgun was a Hi Point. All I can say is it worked and the price was unbeatable. I was able to gain some experience and learn what features to really look for in my next handgun choice. Sold the Hi-Point for a M&P Shield 2.0.
6:37 That interesting feature is standard on S&W M&P pistols. I really like it, it throws people off if they're watching. Especially the range staff, apparently it's not as well known as it should be.
My first pistol was the Ruger P90 the 45 acp version of the P89. The only time it has ever malfunctioned is when a friend of mine showed up with some weird very old ammo that said it was low-velocity practice .45 ACP ( I already thought .45 ACP was fairly low velocity) ammo that had the date Aug. 1932 printed on the box. About every third round of that stuff would stove pipe.
My first pistol was a Ruger P95DC. I still have it. Still accurate and reliable. My wife likes to shoot it now after I bumped up to a 45Acp. My dad had one too. $300 brand new. Not bad.
Yeah, more first videos would be fun. I still have my first handgun, a Beretta 92 FS I bought some years ago, but I could tell just from the silhouette on the thumbnail that that was going to be a Ruger P-series. I've gotten quite familiar with their appearance since I bought a P-85 with blued slide this summer, so far I'm loving mine.
Great intro Scott, I have actually met guys like biker dude. As a retired police officer I have known officers who carried that same Ruger as an off duty weapon and loved it. Nothing like your first rifle/shotgun or pistol. I would like to see more of your first weapons you owned. Great channel and stay safe bro.
I knew what gun it was as soon as I saw the silhouette! That's the second hand gun I ever owned. And I still have it! It's great pistol to shoot. Works with every shot. I even have a few 30 round mags for it. My first pistol was a Bernadelli 22lr. Still have it too. Thanks for the video Scott! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Loved this. My first pistol was a P95 that I had already paid for and picked up on my 21st birthday. Still a great pistol that is loads of fun. It also made me a Ruger fan, for sure.
I’m glad to see where the roots lead back to! I think it’d be interesting to see the first of each firearm you’ve owned and/or shot: revolvers, high caliber rifle, shotgun, etc!
I’ve owned a P 89 for 20+ years and have probably close to 10,000 rounds through it. I’ve never had a jam and never had to do what you did when you inserted the clip and it’s still one of the most accurate handguns I own.
First "handgun", a High Standard "Military Citation" 4" Bull Barrel in .22 LR for under $200. Lost a girl friend over her "hocking" it while I was working out of town, miss the gun more than the ex. Sweetest handgun I ever owned and it never had a headache or a bad hair day.
That case sure looks familiar. My first was the Ruger P90 DC, 45acp, still have it, haven't fired it in years, was thinking of selling it, but I have a sentimental attachment to it. At least when you run out of ammo, you can throw it. Loved it when I had it, now my go-to is a 40 cal.
I hope you all enjoyed the video! Do you want to see more videos like this? Thanks for watching! ❤️

Until I read this comment, I didn’t get the connection. I’m ashamed 😞
Kudos. I knew it was Ruger couldn't tell P85 P89 or P90. I have a P90 45 acp. All P series guns are great.
Was hoping for the P85. That was my first. Dad bought it for my 16th from a SFC he worked with in Berlin.
I had one of those too. It was my first semi auto. didn't like it but upgraded to his big brother the P90 45acp and still have it.
Well nothing has changed cuz u still can’t hit anything
Damn...that hurt
😲
OHHHH!!!
Bruh he hit almost everything he shot
Least he can speak proper english
Loved this. My first pistol was a P95 that I had already paid for and picked up on my 21st birthday. Still a great pistol that is loads of fun. It also made me a Ruger fan, for sure.
Love my Ruger and Taurus pistols.
Ruger gp100 is my favorite though.
Can you show us our load out and where is tactical T. rex
“Shake weight skills!” 😂
Ruger P89 was my first (and only) firearm and I love it!
I've always had my safety on when reloading, happy to have learned of that feature!
I have the 45 ACP version of that. The PC90. I love it. Trigger does take a bit to get used too though! Love your vids bud!
Scott be triggered when he heard the eggplant farm-
"IT'S NOT FOR SALE"
Parm as in Parmesan
I love when he get the brilliant ideas of these Very funny intros and he’s Klothing is always awesome :)
The first pistol I ever bought myself was a P94D.
40 cal sucks :p
first pistol i ever bought myself was a Rock Island M200 38 special. I still have it because i bought it last year lol.
CZ p10c was my first. Best stock pistol trigger I have ever squeezed.
@@kamron_thurmond you need to fondle one of the Shadow 2 or TSO pistols. Very nice. Staccato has nice things as well.
I like how he plays most of the characters.😂
