One thing about the shared name, this old Kamo is well known to the point that everyone instantly knows who he is, so why did our current Kamo get named that name? It'd be like someone naming their kid Josef Mengele. Kamo was the kid of a mistress if I remember right, that plus being named after a well known stain on the clans history and later being adopted into the main clan when he inherited the main clan curse technique to be groomed as the heir after being treated like trash says all sorts of interesting things about his life, internal clan politics etc, and all with just a quick background detail. That's good writing.
Something that’s extremely worth noting: In the last fight, they had the courtesy to very clearly mark Todo’s whole Takada sequence as “Todo’s Imagination”. This label is brand-new to the anime iirc, which tells me that there’s a reason it’s there. Now, look at Choso’s most recent vision of Yuji: no label of any kind. Not only that, but steps have been taken to distinguish them: Todo’s imagination is brightly colored, has loud music, and has a comedic tone. Meanwhile, Choso’s vision has a film grain effect, is calm and peaceful, and is very emotionally earnest. I think this was done to make it clear that these are two very different things. Todo is just so self-obsessed that he has to invent this whole narrative with Yuji to bond with him, while Choso’s connection is something more tangible.
Yeah, Todo's visions are played for comedy, while Choso's is clearly to be taken with a more mysterious tone. Choso didn't care at all about getting to know Yuji right up until he was about to kill him, and then felt that same instinct as when his brothers died.
I agree with you but it’s incredibly easy to assume that they’re supposed to be the same thing, because for a while the fake memories thing did still feel like a Itadori technique
People got confused enough by it, that gege had to actually say in an interview that they're completely unrelated. Todo's scene is just a gag that people took way too seriously.
@@Gopal__S nah dude you’re not giving the fans enough credit, they foreshadowed Itadori getting a technique, and then two different times a character has false memories and starts to like Itadori all of a sudden.
