Many Georgian churches have secret rooms where precious icons were hidden in times of attack. The bigger cathedrals like Alaverdi and Svetitskhoveli even had staircases to secret rooms between the ceiling and outer roof. There are so many details to know and explore, for the truly curious. Let me know if you're interested to know more about Georgian architectural history.

When you are planing to travel here? 1 day it is not enough for Tbilisi, but you can visit "must-see" places only. I'm planning to stay in Tbilisi for 4 days and spending two of them completely in Tbilisi , and go for one day trip to Sighnaghi and one other day to Kazbegi and get back to Tbilisi
Then go for 3 days to batumi spending 2 completely in batumi and go for one day to Okatse canyon in Kutaisi.
Then I dont know where to go really and I hope this goes well.
Nice plan. I think you must go in Kazbegi for a night and other day return Tbilisi. Other day you can see villige Juta and amazing chaukhi mountains(we have our traveling video as kazbegi, as chaukhebi mountains, check it) there is many places where you can go, it`s easy take tour and travel with tham(for example we can orginize to you if you want) if you go sighnaghi, You must see in kaKheti region Nekresi, gremi, alaverdi etc(also have video about Kakheti in this channel check it) you can go near tbilisi old capital of Georgia - mtskheta, javakheti amazing lakes , vardzia, axalqalaqi etc.As I said, we can help you orginize all if you want.

Just came back from a week long trip to Georgia, It was gorgeous :) must go to place during summers.
Which places did you visit? what about feelings?
we started from Tbilisi, did Kazbegi and Khakheti went to Kutaisi and Batumi and back to Tblisi. The feeling was so amazing that I and my husband immediately decided that we are coming back here. We loved walking around Tbilisi, the warmth of the place was so amazing. People Music Food wine everything just pulled us back.
Great! Next time try to go in the mountains: Svaneti, Racha, Tusheti etc. We have amazing nature and you must see it ✌

My bad experience with Georgia :
I am 64 years Syrian father, I arranged with my daughter and my son in low to spend 2 weeks in Tbilisi on 22nd of March 2018. Me and my wife living and working in Saudi Arabia for more than 35 years and we had visited Georgian embassy in Riyadh visa section my wife did ask the visa section whether we need to obtain visas in advance the answer was no you can get the visas from airport, we raised the fear that they might reject us at the airport the embassy recommended that we better be provided with International health insurance, copies of our residential permission in SA, confirmed booking flight, confirmed hotel reservation and our statement of bank account. We traveled from Riyadh to Dubai and from Dubai to Tbilisi after a long journey we have been returned by the passport officer who asked us one question "why you want to spend 2 weeks in Tbilisi (he doesn't speak English) and refused to let us express our reasons, we were family of 4 adults and 2 children we all living in Gulf countries. I think the unacceptable attitude of that officer left a very bad impression in ourselves we were planning to spend some good time in Tbilisi.
