You are right about that. I actually don't want these big changes. I just want them to actually care about the core of the game. I do feel you though, it feels like Dota kinda deserves more because of the scale of the game it is, but Valve seems to be putting dota in a very low priority.
I like the new patch, argueably better than battlepass as the pressure and idea of investment is mot as present as in the battlepass setting. Ofc getting a new hero would be nice, but I feel like we should appreciate the free stuff and chill with the lore a bit. I think its a decent idea
If Valve didn't care, they wouldn't put money and effort into a whole storyline to flesh out these two characters, while also working on an update at the same time. If they didn't care, they would change up the game a little bit, slap "Patch 7.36" on it, and say "Here is your patch, stop bothering us". If they didn't care, they would have kept the battle pass going each year, which would have been an easier way to pump out distracting meaningless content to keep the fans sort of happy, not even to mention how those battle passes were fueled more by rng and money than playtime. But no, they decided to stop doing battle passes so that they can (in their own words) focus more on gameplay, and whether or not you feel that that has been true, them freeing up time allows them to do things like Crownfall. And I believe them spending time on projects like Crownfall doesn't show how much they don't care, it shows how much they do care. Yeah lol, Valve more just really don't much with the games. Blizzard like actively ruins their games 😂
jus sayin after not playin dota as my main game for 10_+ yrs and then startin to play it more than others, valve in comparison is a good company lol.
the fact that you even have AI statistics and such is something that blizz , 11+ billino dollar company doestn do. valve only has made 1 billino dollars from dota.. and they have all these nice things they added over 10 yrs .
@@Docwell they've done plenty of good balancing changes compared to wow again lol \i hadnt played in 10 yrs and when i came back it was way more fun with the map enlargement and other stuff like removing jungling optoin
I just want dumb cosmetics like glasses or meme stuff, they just found Venge wings. Valve are actually simps i guess
I can't take any of this shit seriously when the base models of the game haven't been updated since the fucking dawn of technology
Base models look fucking awful and putting story stuff and anything like this that's supposed to be immersive aside from just cool skins is kinda ridicilous to me.
Update your base models, make the game look good for new players booting it up where they don't immediately go 'this game looks hideious why would I not just play league'
And then you can start making stuff like this
You might be right but there's just no way they are going to update something for free when they could instead make you pay for it in a skin lol.
@@Docwell I literally have a couple of friends coming to Dota and they don't stay because they can't find a character that they like and because they all look bad to them
And it's true, Riot are doing visual reworks and making people feel like they are playing a game from 2024, it makes you feel like you're keeping up with the times
Meanwhile sometimes when I open up dota and I look at these models it literally makes me feel OLD... How are new players ever coming to this mess... They`ll just lose money in the long term
TL;DR - Crownfall is not what they were expecting, so Valve doesn't care for a bunch of bogus reasons, wah wah wah......
“Bogus reasons” like essentially stealing millions of dollars from the pro scene? Like I said, it’s just one data point. You clearly didn’t watch the video.
I did, you asked for comments.... you got a comment, it disagreed with you, like you asked. It's one data point that says maybe YOU are disconnected :)
@@keithnicholasYour comment had no substance but I’m still gonna farm engagement from you.
If you’re just going to deflect and provide no reason for your disagreement then you must not be very confident about it.
@@Docwell lol, my comment was a summary of your video, and you are right, there's no substance in the video, just a whine.
If you disagree then try to defend your disagreement instead of hiding through weak snark.
