I have noticed that Knitting uses less yarn than regular crochet, but haven't experimented with tunisian crochet. I was trying to make a short vest like S size with around 200g of a medium yarn, with crochet completed like 3/4 of the proyect, tried with 2 needles and only used like 180g! I'm so curious of comparing diferent techniques!!
