juveman123 what he meant is, if you got lost in the forest and you have no food while one a brink of starvation you can kill the animals for you to eat. but if you kill animal just for trophy as in ( fur, fang, skin, tusk etc) and for you to post it on social media and show the people that you are an alpha for killing an animal then that's illegal.

I am sorry to be 5 yrs late to know about this pure unconditionally loving majestic odd couple. Cameron and Zabu were indeed the epitome of pure soulmate love ❤ After watching your videos and reading about them, i went so emotional that i cried for 3 days. They're now together in eternal bliss playing and goofing around in heaven's garden Wish I could visit them 😊
All that playing is keeping tbem both in top condition. They look great in this video. I hope they're both still in top form & live long, happy lives there at BCR!
@Dwight Charles ....have you watch or read the whole situation about what actually happened to 'Cambu' ( Cameron x Zabu )? Or why they are doing this 'snipped lion's private part'? Cameron is getting too aggressive toward Zabu (not in abuse way) so they have to neutered him which in result he lost his mane,but it have NOTHING to do with his severe health that happened after many years of living. So they have to 'kill' him because no medicine can cure him at that time. Meanwhile Zabu the white tiger have a kidney failure (and depression which made the situation alot worse) a month later. So they do an exact same thing to her( I think) . At least they were trying to help Zabu to cope with her loss of her lion,Cameron before she being diagnosed with the kidney failure.

This is strange, these two felines of different Species and get along in an environment where it's safe and has plenty of food without the stress of a kill or be killed wild life. But us humans "first World" who have been born into privileged environment that we all can live comfortably go a ways to backstabbing, abusing, hurting each other for petty reasons.
I think thats mainly because we (Humans) still need to survive and work for our own sake whereas these big cats are given everything they need, they have no need for competition - humans still need to work and get money etc to be well off and comfortable so we still have the competitive tendencies to gain the best situation for ourselves or our families etc etc but yes it is pretty shitty what we take for granted
they have been together since they were cubs, it's not because their is an abundance of food. if they put all these cats together in an open pen some would end up fighting and killing each other....unfortunately all these cats that have been rescued don't have the hunting or survival skills to survive on their own in the wild, they will remain at this place forever but it looks like these people are taking good care of them, no animal deserves to be abused, it's nice to see their are still some good people in this world.

Zabu the tiger is actually 5 months older than Cameron the lion. Cameron is often the cat trying to start the fun and then Zabu finishes it! :)
