  • I don't think RAM included as a non changeable part on a system is a good idea! This Lenovo Yoga 6 Ryzen 7 laptop was blue screening around 5 times every hour. I took the system away, installed a new copy of Windows 11 on a new M.2 NVMe drive which didn't help. It continued to bluescreen at random which sort of narrowed things down to some bad memory on the mainboard. This meant that the whole motherboard needed changing.
Here's my ramblings of changing out the Yoga 6 mainboard.

Really, you cannot just unsolder that RAM and change it? Im surprised what a sufficient way to design things!

It's getting worse - apparently more OEMs are beginning to solder down RAM. And Lenovo does that even on ThinkPads.
