I have had discussions about playing the lottery with others. I know it is gambling and go against what the Bible says about it. I also look at it like this. If I am gambling, that also means that I am not trusting in God to take care of my needs. I'm not rich, but not poor either. But God has always taken care of me and helped me provide for my family.
The church has conformed a lot to the world and we have not done enough living like Jesus and witnessing for Him. That’s a major reason why people turn to politics etc for help instead of the church.
About the correct day on the sabbath, it all comes down to faith. God said the 7th day is the sabbath. And God also says He cannot lie.
