It is bad because it is made by NVidia. NVidia's drivers are garbage, they haven't been able to handle DisplayPort with multiple monitors properly for over 10 years. The last 3 driver releases haven't even been able to detect my second monitor at all. It's unfortunate I have to replace my monitor with a FreeSync one in addition to getting a new card to get away from NVidia.

Its more than good enough for 1080p gaming just overpriced, should be around 140.
I don't know what's wrong with people, everyone hates the rtx 3050, I just replaced a gtx 1050 ti with a 3050 and it was a big jump, it wasn't very expensive, it has DLSS and ray tracing and it can run games at high settings with 75-125 fps and it has 8gb of Vram.
My problem isn't with its performance, it's with its value. For the same price, you can get the RX 6600 which is a far superior GPU
3050 sounds like the annoying little brother that you love and hate at the same time.
$170 USD sounds a little steep
i almost bought one of these in the used market until i saw a 2060 super for the same price 😂
How come over 700 people on Amazon gave it an 4.6 out of 5 if its that bad?
An RTX 3050 6gb would make perfect sense in an OEM with a proprietary PSU and no 6 or 8-pin PCI-e connectors. At some point, this would have been a perfect fit for me. It performs about the same as an RTX A2000 at a fraction of the price. These two are the only real solution for strictly slot-powerdraw.
guys use rtx 2060 instead of this this gpu is so badly priced
If this was $125 new, maybe $150 tops, it could be a decent ultra budget option or for someone that's buying an old workstation and wants to slap a gpu in there for light gaming. As is I don't know why you'd want to buy this instead of an rx6600.
If someone does not want their 3050 they are more than welcome to give it to me :)
Sounds like 1660 with 8gb vram and dlss 2.0
That's basically what it is. But it supports DLSS 3.0 like all RTX GPUs - just not DLSS frame gen
"How a GPU can be this bad ?"
Simple : because people buy it.
Oooh doncha worry, the 4050 or whatever it'll be called will put this one to shame. 32Gb bandwidth :))
It has always been bad. Always, like the 1050 Ti at launch, it was bad. And don't tell me the argument of old office PCs, it's only a regional circumstance.
The deal has always been the RX 6600.
And the office PC thing only applies to the 6gb version, the 8gb is just horrifically overpriced compared to other options that are far faster.
I can't remember the 1050 Ti having a terrible launch. At least you could get it for $150 and not $250 like the RTX 3050
@@ProYamYamPC The 1050 Ti was not the deal since the RX 470 was $175 and it was faster by a significant margin, since the RX 470 was also the PS4 Pro GPU.
Then came Etherium in 2017 and the only GPU late gamers that didn't know of the 2016 PC Gaming Resurgence could get was the 1050 Ti.
🙂 i picked up a 5700 8gb, nobody talks about it, its very close to a 6600 but alot cheaper
They shouldve kept this a laptop gpu...
An Rx 6600xt? No need. An Rx 6600 is far better, the XT is too much 😂
I'm very lucky to afford myself an AMD Radeon rx 6650 xt instead of this gpu 😂🎉
I dont think its all that bad.
It simply is
people are just elitists. its perfect for 1080p. funny how every one here fails to mention dlss and raytracing.
I only use mine for teardown and minecraft i just make videos like im gonna bloe up my rtx 3050 its like that its a good gpu if you have a son
Could be worse, could be a 3050 6GB. 🤣
Ah the 3050.
✋ I have a RTX 3050... But I didn't buy it for gaming.
Do you use it for video editing/productivity?
@@ProYamYamPC I got it mainly for getting back into Blender in my freetime, after many years absence.
The selling points of the RTX 3050 for me were:
1. Nvidia RTX GPU which is basically a must for Blender.
2. A fairly newer generation GPU that you could get a 6-pin variant. (HP Z440 dual 6-pin).
3. Not that RTX "3050" 6GB cut down nonsense.
Compared to the dual Quadro M4000 I had before, the RTX 3050 seemed a smart upgrade.
Definitely would not recommend this card
to your enemies
@@Greenalex89 had to edit my post to “not” haha good catch lol
its not a bad card, but just overpriced
that makes a bad card
3050 is a rebranded 750ti
are you serious? 3050 is nearly 300% faster than a 750ti lol, i would say its a 1660 with ray tracing and dlss
its close to a 1660 super / thai 😊
