I have lived in Germany for 25 years, and will be returning to the US next year to retire. I will definitely be installing a more European style kitchen. I love how clean and sleek they look. To me, American kitchens look clunky with those big old stoves sticking out and the huge refrigerators. I have become used to a smaller refrigerator and oven, and it’s no problem! It saves on energy too! It’s going to be interesting to see how I can blend euro with American products. Tschuss!

Hi I work as a Modular Kitchen Designer and sales in India. Wht I observed tht German focus more on comfort when it comes to Kitchen... because as we see other countries go for symmetrical countertops especially in India but but German choose Asymetrical which is really designed according to their comfort while using the kitchen... I know aesthetic is important part but comfort is more important.👍
I lived in Germany (Eltville) for three years and LOVED my kitchen (as well as everything else!) while I was there. I love seeing this slice of German life on your video!

Lot's of the cabinet companies in Germany also provide their laminate countertops so you can purchase as a combo. I usually get mine from Nobilia long with German cabinetry. Thanks for tuning in!

Hi Veronique, I think it all depends on how much space you have. I love sitting hot pots & trays coming out of the oven on a higher surface to keep out of reach from kids. I'm also a fan of sitting my coffee station higher. In the end it all boils down to personal preference. Thanks for watching!!

The differing counter heights break up good space and actually waste it.
