Daniel, I am glad you are back in business! I could see you were almost on your limit in terms of patients, but you held up! Man, you have some mentality that is really exemplary! Best of luck for the journey onwards!
I appreciate the videos take a while to produce but is there any chance of a gear review? I'd be very interested in what you packed, what you've discarded and your thoughts/review of your gear?
What a relief, you and the bike back on the road in (almost) one piece - hope the knee settles soon, did you seek any chinese ministrations (!) for that, or time? What did they think of your bike? A bike's a bike, but with subtly frustratingly incompatible differences. Perhaps Genesis keeps it simple. Just want to say well done :)
You've been through the extremes 👍🏻love it! 60 hours on a sleeper, the chaos of travel here, the randomness of local hospitality, some dodgy back street apartment KTV and no doubt a few sessions in the DU (everyone loves Chengdu) ... Sichuan and Yunnan cycling is amazing when you take the mountain routes. Looking forward to seeing the next adventures. - Great you kept it chilled, as its easy to loose your shit here 👍🏻
This one is full of informations. 2 questions please : 1. Is it mandatory to disassemble the bicycle when you send it through CRE ? 2. Do they give you the exact time and place of train arrival or do you have to wait for a phone call ? Thanks mate !
Yes you have to pack the bike up, finding boxes in small towns is another adventure of confusion in it self. The CRE office is normally located on the outside of the station somewhere I just walked around till I could find it. They should call you when it arrives for some reason they couldn't get through to me but I got the receptionist at the hostel to ring them and they said it had arrived then I went to collect it!!! Hope this helps hit me up if you have more questions 🚴🚴
I knew when you took so long to post that something had happened….but you were still responding to comments so at least we knew you weren’t locked up or worse. Yeah….China hey…..

3:26 well done for surviving that close call with giant arachnid on the left of the screen (climbed up the wall)!
You are still alive after that initial welcome😂

Coming soon probably when I get to South East Asia!! Bike and gear review
I love your channel, man. Absolutely fantastic. I'm really glad all got sorted and you can continue on your journey.
Much appreciated!
Interestingly, China's first railway was built by the British. It was built by the British Jardine Matheson near Shanghai in 1876.
Really pleased you got through that - I’ve been following you for several weeks now and was getting concerned by the long break in posts. Ride on!
Thank you so much!
