When will Africans stop blaming everyone else and start accepting responsibility for their situations? We cannot progress as a people if we are not ready to take responsibility
Yep, unfortunately their average IQ of 70 was showing. They decide to whine and call “racism” which further wasted their own time to get back in the game.
This World Cup has been something else. That Cameroon goal was not offside. This VAR is really hurting the game. All famous World Cup moments from years ago were just extraordinary because there was only the referees to judge a play. VAR is ruining the magic of football and the World Cup.
Me being American with all my family tree Mexican i know how it feels to screwed over in a football match by a referee's decision at World Cup 2010 and 2014 but you learn that this is what makes the game magic. The fact that your team could be eliminated by one man's mistake. A lot of World Cup Moments were made because of referee decisions. With VAR those moments would never exist.
For those of you saying the Cameroon player wasn’t offside; it’s offside If any part of the player's head, body or FEET is closer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent.
Frankly I'm disappointed in this match. Lack of maturity from the Cameroon was disgraceful. Africa's only hope and you completely destroy. All those decisions were clear as water. Don't whine about racism because your team lost. And the referees in this game should step up and stop relying on VAR so much. It might even lower the quality of referees. The goalkeeper picks up a back pass VAR allows one England goal and disallowed a Cameroonian goal All correct decisions which the Cameroonian women took badly It's very simple One side lost their heads The other side didn't
disallowing Cameroon goal highly questionable since it was questionable that the broadcast replay actually freezed the footage at the correct moment. That play was too close to call, even on proper VAR. The goal deserved to stand.
Was that really a back pass though? I feel Fifa deliberately gives decisions to the favourites. Just look how easy and predictable these decisions are for the refs...sigh
There is literally no debate as to whether it was a back pass. It was back pass. Rules say it is an offence, therefor it's a free kick for England. I watched the match on Spanish TV (neutral) and they never doubted for a second it was a back pass and free kick for England.
@Nick Martin try not to give your point of view with favoritism. Look at the action carefully, she runs towards the ball before noticing that the goalkeeper was coming. The action could be argued but why was the VAR not used then?

Fifa. you don't put anything into your highlights. What about the VAR drama, the spitting, a physical altercation with the ref or the final foul? These highlights need to be better.
Cameroon were an absolute disgrace. Petulance and aggressive, to allow such behaviour comes down to poor refereeing. It's one thing to get decisions correct which she did but also to control the behaviour on and around the pitch, she failed to do so. Well done England for not losing your cool when constantly provoked to do so.
Honestly, I don't see any contentious decision here. I'm Nigerian but these decisions look fair to me. The ladies needn't resort to violence. To help curb future occurrences, FIFA could write to each team to school their teams on VAR decisions.
I am not racist.. " before anyone buts in" but Cameroon's antics in the game and the ref not not stepping up more to shut all that carry-on down was beyond belief, and the fowls & spitting, I hope FIFA take action for some of the players & management ....he should of also took better control off his players. But well done England on the win ,you kept your heads cool in on what will no doubt be a topic of conversations for the next day or too. 🇬🇧
African teams suffered a lot of questionable calls by referees in this competition. You won't know if you didn't watch most of their games. Something is wrong when you flag a goal offside and someone on the outside tells you it's not and you didn't even bother to check. If it were Brazil and other top nations, the referee would go the extra mile and verify.

@@seguniyiolayusuf4873 what's your point or do you just hate white people? All England goals were good, Cameroon's goal was offside and two straight red cards were missed for Cameroon players who were disgusting in their actions.
confused Humanity A back pass is when a player has full control of the ball and intentionally passes it to the keeper. The defender blocked a cross and the ball bounced off her leg towards the keeper so she never had control. It was a broken play.
The first goal was clearly not a pass to the goalkeeper. She made a bad control and the ball went in the direction of the goalkeeper. That was unintentional therefore , not a free kick.
I can understand being the underdog and feeling like everything is going against you. However VAR got the calls right in the end. Cameroon showed they can play, they just need a bit of luck to bounce their way.
The goal was good, but if it was fair it would have counted. Unfortunately the rules were applied equally to both teams and the VAR footage is undeniable proof that the correct decisions were made according to FIFA rules.
First goal from England was not ok, was not an intentionally play back to the keeper. Goal Cameroon later was not offside at all. Surely the German VAR referee did not like Cameroon!
Some have tried to justify the dreadful officiating by saying that England has the better team. The officials have a responsibility to call the game in a fair and unbiased manner. Regardless of where the teams are ranked. This particular game will be forever marred in controversy as well as it should be.
Personally I think the referees are over relying on this VAR thing. What then is the essence of the referee on the pitch. If she can't use her own value judgement to complement the VAR? I thought the VAR is there to aid the referee little did I know that they will become stooges to it. I Personally also think it was not an offside though.

The image of the offside in the highlights with blue and red lines IS FROZEN at the exact moment the Cameroon passer's foot and the ball are in contact. It IS the salient moment.
FIFA stop uploading this kind of short videos with a thumbnail revealing a game result on youtube that only ruins our World Cup experience.

This World Cup has been something else. That Cameroon goal was not offside. This VAR is really hurting the game. All famous World Cup moments from years ago were just extraordinary because there was only the referees to judge a play. VAR is ruining the magic of football and the World Cup.
you took the words right off my mouth. Sadly some couch potatoes will never understand that
But it was offside though wasn’t it
What do you mean it wasn't offside? You didn't see the video?
No, that Cameroon goal was offside VAR got it right for once.

All correct decisions which the Cameroonian women took badly
It's very simple
One side lost their heads
The other side didn't

disallowing Cameroon goal highly questionable since it was questionable that the broadcast replay actually freezed the footage at the correct moment. That play was too close to call, even on proper VAR. The goal deserved to stand.
She cushioned the ball and the goalkeeper picked it up. It's a stupid thing to do. It's an indirect free kick and has been since the early 1990s.

Was that really a back pass though? I feel Fifa deliberately gives decisions to the favourites. Just look how easy and predictable these decisions are for the refs...sigh
@Nick Martin it was a missed control on the defender's side...watch the reaction carefully
There is literally no debate as to whether it was a back pass. It was back pass. Rules say it is an offence, therefor it's a free kick for England. I watched the match on Spanish TV (neutral) and they never doubted for a second it was a back pass and free kick for England.
Idk why the keeper didn’t just volley it.. thing bounced perfectly that a good keeper could have kicked the ball out the field lengthwise.
@Nick Martin try not to give your point of view with favoritism. Look at the action carefully, she runs towards the ball before noticing that the goalkeeper was coming. The action could be argued but why was the VAR not used then?
definitely not a pass back, just a terrible first touch...VAR used correctly on the other two goals though...England would have still won, just bad sportsmanship from Cameroon

Cameroon were an absolute disgrace. Petulance and aggressive, to allow such behaviour comes down to poor refereeing. Regardless of where the teams are ranked. This particular game will be forever marred in controversy as well as it should be.
Personally I think the referees are over relying on this VAR thing. What then is the essence of the referee on the pitch. If she can't use her own value judgement to complement the VAR?
