Good luck Donna. I would recommend Rooibos tea (red bush tea), as a healthy alternative to normal tea. It doesn't contain caffeine and is full of antioxidants. You make it just like normal tea, ie you can have it black or with milk/sugar. A friend told me about it a year or so ago, you can get it in Lidl for about 89p for 40 bags x
well done donna, it's finally clicked👍 I walked away from slimming world months ago as I felt I wasn't eating the right foods for me, I now just eat healthily using my own common sense and I won't be looking back. god I feel so much better for it too. slimming world works for a lot of people, just not me. good luck on your healthy eating journey xx
I couldn't agree with this video more! I lost 3 stone in 9 months doing gym and clean eating. Love your videos so much and so glad you're back posting! xx
Well done for speaking up on this. I've never done slimming world but used to be a strict follower of weight watchers and I found the same problem, I was loosing weight but a lot of what I was eating was processed. When I switched up my diet to being cleaner I initially put on weight because I wasn't 'counting' anymore but I've found the My Fitness Pal app is really good for keeping track of what I'm eating during the day and also shows you a nutritional breakdown as you go so you can see if you need to eat more protein etc. Good luck x
Hi Sarah, thanks for your comment. I don't think SW or WW are a bad thing, more the way that we interpret the plans. There's nothing to stop us from following the plan in conjunction with clean eating but i'm at a stage in my life where i need simplicity & working syns out for my foods is something i didn't wan't to do with this new way of eating. I am tracking everything with MFP. It started more as a food diary but i have to say that the nutrition breakdown is interesting too. Great to hear from you xxx
Good luck Donna, it all looks great. what diet are you exactly following? or are you just making it up to as near clean as possible? just curious regarding portions!
Hi Nicole, its called the "flying by the seat of my pants diet" lol(name the movie). As for portions the juice is a measured portion because of the exacting ingredients, i have a smallish lunch & a slightly larger evening meal as i won't be eating after 8 so don't want to be hungry before bed. I had 2 snacks today also(see todays video) I log on MFP too so am keeping track of nutrients & cals. Thanks hun x
I was once given a good tip, "shop the outside of the supermarket" generally it is fruit and veg on entering followed along the back by meat and fish, then last aisle for your breads. The crap is in the middle lol x good luck hun x
Thank you Donna for taking the time to put all this information together. I've made the error of eating a fruit speed food breakfast and since I have retired I am putting on weight even though I m more active. So, yes, please put out your videos on all your daily meals. I have juicer so I will now go out and top up my veggies.
Yay I'm loving this Donna!! I've always enjoyed your videos mainly because I think you're great but things have gotten a lot more interesting now!! I love clean eating and I've been sugar free for over 3 months now. Apart from weightloss the best thing about it is that my hormones have balanced and I no longer fell very down and tired for 2 weeks every month. I really really hope that this type of eating helps lift your mood long term and your depression starts to subside. For breakfast I eat chicken, brown basmati and raw vegetables - my children think i'm mad but I always say 'don't let nestlé tell you what you should be eating for breakfast - they'd be happy to kill you for a profit'. Best of luck. I'm rooting for you!!
Wow your changes from cutting sugar out are great Janice! Me too re the mood lifting hun :/ Good point about Nestle also. I was a weetabix, bran flakes or oats kinda gal. Thanks for your support :) xxx
I love this and support you a million %!! cant wait to do this journey with you!! its the way forward, back to basics and common sense, It has to work!! well done for listening to your body and making the change you need! good luck!! xxxx
so happy to see you feeling like your back on the up! I think clean eating sounds fab. I always have felt weird about the whole lots of yogurt with chemicals and ready meals etc can't wait to see more from you again x
You're doing so well. Just a suggestion with the juicing. Try to get a slow/masticating juicer (you can get one for £40 from Tesco). the slow juicer gives you more juice from your produce and it also better quality as it squeezes to get juice out instead of grinding like the juicer that u have. I have tried both and the taste as well as quantity is very different. You're doing great. you will find that juicing will fill you up more than you expected. Keep it up😊😘👍👏
We really haven't got the room for any more gadgets but if my juicer breaks i will certainly look into the one you suggest. It has kept me satisfied for longer than i thought it would so thats good. Thank you xxx
This video made me so happy! I have been thinking of you and thinking just that, that the best thing is for you to find out what is healthy for yourself - not someone else's plan and, like you say, do what is right for your own body. It made me so happy to see Mr Dyble having the smoothie with you in the morning - it was so supportive of him. This is such a wise decision. I think, don't feel under too much pressure to document this journey in detail - do it if it helps you, but maybe focus on a couple of other goals in your life (but don't necessarily vlog them) but - yes - we should all be keeping our bodies healthy but that is so that we can enjoy life to the full. (Sorry - that was long) Liz xxxx love you so much xxx
Oh Liz, it's always so lovely to hear from you & when i watch your videos it's like being with a friend & helps soothe me. I was shocked when Mr Dyble said that he wanted to have a juice with me in the morning & he is also cutting out his nightly bag of sweets & cutting down his cans of pear cider too! Amelia saw us drinking the juice when she was eating her weetabix & asked if she could make her own juice tomorrow :) So i will let her have a mini glass along with her breakfast. I have finally realised that it's not a case of one diet plan fits all so doing my own research has been an eye opener. I have so much more i would like to share on this channel so it will be more like a HEINZ 57. You are such a great support & inspiration to me Liz & i love you very much too. Thank you xxxxxxx
I did 3 weeks on SW and came to the same conclusion. I really think that healthy eating and exercise is the only way to go. Plus I really don't want to be focused on food all the time. If it's healthy eat it, if it's not avoid it. That's as much thinking I want to do otherwise it becomes an obsession as I tend to over think things. Good luck Donna. I'm sure this will suit you better.
+Jar Full of Moonbeams I'm an over thinker too! SW has been amazing for me & had i not found it i wouldn't have my little girl now.(see video slimming world saved me) However i think each of us may interpret it differently. I like things to be easy(usually) so when my consultants have recommended SW cereal bars, pasta sauce, muller lights & other convenience snacks, i have lapped their advice up. Now SW doesn't say we MUST eat these things although before i knew how bad they were for me i went ahead and ate them. This new knowledge i am gaining has opened my eyes to a different way of eating. I wonder if there are any clean eating SW consultants out there? Maybe i'd still be doing SW if there were. Thanks for your well wishes xxx
Hi, just let you know that I use a lot of avocado in smoothies and I put the other half in a food bag with a squeeze of lemon juice and it keeps fresh and brown free for a cpl of days.Good luck with the plan.
Best of luck Donna, I am such a sugar addict, I find it so hard to stop the sweet treats, I wish you all the best and so nice to see Mr Dyble supporting you in the juicing x
I've always felt that the way slimming world is advertised is bad for people. Saying that you CAN have something doesn't mean that you SHOULD have it - i completely agree with you that clean eating is totally doable within slimming world, but that being said, if you are happier getting away from that environment, then that is exactly what you need to do. Hope you're feeling better lately sweetheart, look forward to catching up on your latest vids xxx Also! Hunt down 100 days of real food - amazing website that I used a LOT when i did clean eating. She's an incredible lady with a great day-by-day blog. xxx
My friend always says to me that just because people are slim it doesn't mean they are healthy & it really struck a chord with me. I thought yes thats me, i'm trying to get slim but am i doing it the healthy way. I'll always be grateful to SW for giving us the chance to have Amelia but it's time for me to fly the nest. I have learn lots of great recipes that can be adapted to a cleaner way of eating & made some wonderful friends to who i miss already. I did feel more & more uncomfortable though as the group got bigger & bigger. There were ladies joining my group because they'd seen my videos & knew how motivational & funny my consultant was & they have gone on to do great which makes me feel great too. I'm feeling so much better hun, both mentally & physically. I'll bookmark that website hun. Thanks xxx
Totally agree with your decision, I do slimming world but try my hardest to stay as natural as possible. Really looking forward to your future videos as your previous slimming world ones have been amazing! It will be nice also to get clean info off a normal person rather than someone drilling it into me, if that makes sense... clean eating Alice is a good clean eater as well as zanna van dijk. . good luck on your journey.
Wooohoo! I love watching videos where people just found their way out of the vicious cycle of diets, diet programs and money-making fads into real whole foods and the fact that natural foods fruit and veg are the way to go. All the best on your journey! I'm a Vegetarian myself nudging on veganism every so often and would never go on a diet ever again instead changing my lifestyle, activity levels and eating whole foods with high levels of nutrients to fuel my body. This is the first video of yours that I've ever watched and I subscribed because I want to see what comes next after this initial change for you.
Glad to see your feeling better Donna, great video! I'm going to be moving from slimming world to the Joe wicks lean in 15 plan. It's back to basics with earthy foods as you called it. Very natural and away from the nasty sweeteners. He does have an Instagram account called the body coach, with recipe ideas. And with the same approach as a carb lunch (post exercise) then low carb the rest of the time. It may give you more meal ideas. Good luck! And I'll continue watching for new ideas xx
Hi Amy, yes i have his book & have been following on Instagram too. My make it mondays videos are all about quick & easy so i'm looking forward to sharing some cleaner recipes on my channel soon. xx
Hi hun, I've switched to healthy eating too, keeping an eye on portion but basically yes, clean and healthy. I totally agree with you on the carbs to be eaten at lunch, and if anything I'd have a small portion of basmati rice instead of ordinary rice or pasta. Love your lunch choice, it looked so natural and yummy! I don't have a juicer, hopefully I'll get one possibly for Christmas. And the fruit facts you mentioned make sense, fruit is good but it still have sugar so we should have some but not illimited. 5 a day between fruit and veg is sensible. Keep posting! x
Thanks Jenny, yes it was strange today i thought i would be hungry but i wasn't. I think if you give your body the nutrients it needs then it doesn't bother you for more food. My lunch was lush! x
aww good luck with your new plan and i really hope you feel better very soon. im sticking with sw but am gearing it more towards natural foods and reducing my intake of artificial sweetener. i do love yogurts but the crap that goes in them.....nope! that was interesting about the sugars in fruits, i have a desk job so am fairly inactive and i do tend to snack on grapes(free), tangerines and apples thinking oh yes lots of speed but the scales say otherwise. so now im switching to carrot sticks and sw hummus for those picky moments and will try to source my speed from veggies instead. decaf tea/coffee....cant tell the difference to be honest and i never add sweeteners to these either. good luck hun xxxxx
Thank you, thats a good plan & i'm sure natural foods will fir in just fine with SW :) I personally wasn't enjoying the groups towards the end & other aspects of the plan so decided it was time for a change. Your snacks sound great! xxx
Way Hay!! Oh Donna this is such a good move......whole foods plant based, mainly veggies, fruits, a few seeds and nuts...a lifestyle not a diet... also look into intermittent fasting, no snacks have made me feel so much better...keeps your blood sugar stable.....I eat breakfast, then have a good meal around 5pm. My hormones seem to be better balanced, my moods have improved......I walk 30 mins a day.......University of Newcastle did a good RCT trial which was so successful. Folk only needed to loose 10% of their of their weight in 12 weeks, to make the changes.Read labels on everything. Well done!! but try to find a group online Dr Michael Mosley has two good forums 5-2, or blood sugar diet to support you as that helps a lot too. You will be hungry on only juice for breakfast.....just suggestions Donna....the search continues....great to see you revved up and ready to go....have a lovely day.....research Dr Greger's site Nutritionfacts.org for loads of Evidence based nutritional info ( his book 'How not to Die' was a game changer for us....)
HELLO NOOR! Long time no speak :) So glad you approve. I'm trying to buy as many things as possible without labels so that i know its good for me. Strangely i haven't been hungry on the juice at all. I'll look at all the info Noor & order that book to the library too. Lovely to hear from you again xxx
Oh no! forgive me it's not for me to approve, just to say for me this was the best move ever!!! I took control back, I wasn't another subscription, I felt so liberated it took the stress and disappointments away completely. Ok I still have a way to go but it's my own journey and I do feel so much healthier, all my lab tests are so much better . I eat consciously and stick to veggies fruit, some grains, and I bought an Instant pot that was a game changer too. sub to Dr Greger on YT his vids are so full of real info. I do wish you well, take care...Been off line a bit as my youngest has just left for Uni in the UK, and the prep was extensive. Now I need retraining! lol, been mothering for 27 years, and empty nesting doesn't feel at all right.......
Good luck Donna, I eat loads of fruit especially after my tea and my weight loss is really slow no more than half a pound a week, I have stuck to diet religiously, and have a muller light every day, may try and reduce my fruit intake and cut out the muller lights and see if it makes a difference. I really enjoy your videos thank you. Kind regards Anne
I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I was looking into starting slimming world but have being too hesitant because of the exact points you mentioned, I thought I was the only one. They encourage too many processed foods and I know someone who lost 15kg on it yes, but she still has a big belly because she doesn't exercise. Also the whole syn foods thing gives too much power to these foods by being "forbidden" and and thus more appealing? I think if you label foods in this manner, you give it more emphasis and power than it deserves if that makes sense. Once you rob food of its ability to make you fearful of weight gain or overindulgence, you lower your chance of overindulging on it. Finding balance is key.I bought a meal plan from Fitness Blender for £10, and its not just a meal plan-they talk about the processed stuff in the food we eat, cheat meals and their purpose + how with time your cheats will transition from unhealthy to healthy. They do not encourage one food group over the other either, you eat beans, pasta, rice, pork, chicken, fish, pancakes, omelettes, lots of healthy snacks. In my opinion, exercise could be encouraged a bit more on slimming world-check out Fitness Blender free workouts on youtube and listen to some of the stuff they advice + their website where they have success stories and recipes. I'm not being paid, I swear, it just breaks my heart sometimes to see the stuff we put our bodies through, the things I personally put myself through, it doesn't have to be this way; FOOD IS MEANT TO BE ENJOYED!!! Exercise doesn't have to be 2-3hours at the gym either, nor does it have to mean hiring an expensive personal trainer. Honestly, have a look at their free exercise videos, your life will never be the same. I'll leave you with an extract from their meal plan that ignited an aha-moment in me: "There is a big difference between cheating in terms of calories, and cheating in terms of unhealthy ingredients. Over time, start to make transitions in the kinds of foods that you indulge on. Try to start treating yourself to something that feels indulgent that is still real food, and not necessarily unhealthy. There are a lot of relatively clean cheat options that are very satisfying, that won't make you feel physically lousy afterwards. It might take some time but work on making the transition from fast food/packaged food cheats, to cheats of real food. For example, garlic chicken fajitas and sauteed vegetables, with a side of beans with cheese melted on top, generous gobs of guacamole, sour cream, and fresh ingredient salsa, with baked corn chips and a beer on the side - sounds good, right? While you're probably going overboard in calories, none of the ingredients are horrendous. You're likely going to have felt like you have just indulged, but you haven't necessarily taken in any high fructose corn syrup, trans fat, or crazy mystery ingredients, especially if you're cooking at home."
I think this could be a new beginning for you Donna, loved seeing all your food and if you keep eating like this the pounds will be dropping off you! x
Good Luck Donna! I know your trying to avoid it and I don't know if they have them in the UK, but here in the States they have Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi that's also Aspartame Free! Its my go to when I want a fizzy drink and I dont feel too guilty.
I will post the Ingredients below as maybe after all your research you know what your avoiding (its all double dutch to me!) Its the best I can find for a fizzy fix. Carbonated Water, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Benzoate, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium, Natural Flavor, Citric Acid.
just a tip in regards to avacodo browning, if you put the stone back into the half your not using it prevents it browning, I always am able to use the other half the next day and its fine x
One of the perks of following SW in Germany is that they don't have a lot of the chemical - filled convenience foods they do in the UK! Best of luck to you in your new diet venture x
I wish there was a clean eating consultant near here & i think they should try & steer people away from processed foods anyway instead of recommending cereal bars, pasta sauce, muller yoghurts & lots of other things full of rubbish. Thanks for your well wishes x
Donna Dyble Th fact I had to make a decision on whether I was going to have avocado with my dinner or not and have a scoop of ice cream for 1 extra syn is ridiculous They need to have "sins" and "syns". Like... "good syns" and "bad syns", which I know still demonizes food but you get my drift :) x
Hugs and encouragement from me, Donna. I have followed you for years because I love your videos and how genuine you are. I am not interested in the SW side of things at all. I am all in favour of clean eating though - it just seems to make more sense. Have you seen the sequel to the doc you mentioned? Pretty sure its on NETFLIX. Also a tip I found useful when I gave up diet coke a few years ago is fizzy or sparkling water and add in a few drops and slices of lime and lemon juice. All the fizz and refreshment but none of the yucky chemicals. Cant wait for your next video. Sarah
Thanks Sarah, thats a lovely thing to say :) I watched the sequel last night. Learning so much! Haha, i drink lidl sparkling spring water(17p for 2 litres) with ice & lemon. It is so refreshing isn't it! Speak soon hun xxx
Hello :-) About 8months ago I gave up Aspartame, caffeine, fizzy juice, artificial sweeteners, lactose and went more towards clean eating and make everything from scratch. I feel so much better for it! I did have headaches at first but it was because I went cold turkey with the caffeine. It was for health reasons I started and I do feel a difference and have been able to cut down some of my tablets and stop others altogether. I have never followed slimming world so can't comment on it but for the last 7 weeks I have been following weight watchers and have eating clean and I've lost 17lbs in the 7 weeks. I do eat a lot of fruit and really enjoy it. You will get your eyes opened when you read food labels. Good luck on your journey.
Sounds like it's been a really positive thing for you then. It's amazing the results the 60 day cleanse has on people & how they manage to heal skin conditions & come off tablets. Thank you x
I totally agree with you re slimming world, my daughter lost really well but it didn't work for me, so had already decided to follow a more plant based diet and then watched your video, so off we go together good luck.
I love this!! you are exactly where I was in January. I'd done slimming world for 2 years and just messed around with it loosing and gaining. in January I took it back to basics and started eating healthy clean ( mostly) foods and allowing myself the odd treats. I've lost 2stone since then and feel so much better in myself. have you thought about trying to factor in a bit more exercise.. I know you've said before your restricted with what you can do physically but there are some fantastic short workouts on RUclips. not even for Weight loss purposes.. exercise is absolutely fantastic for your mental health. good luck xx
I totally agree with you Donna. I go and get weighed each week, and follow the plan to a point, but I avoid all the sweeteners, Hi fi bars,Benefit bars, Frylight etc. It does worry me that SW promotes sweetener within their recipes, there are so many people out there that have no idea the health dangers of consuming aspartame, and I've seen tablespoons of this poison being added to recipes. Scary!!!
Good luck with your new foodie adventure! I'll keep watching you even though you're not doing slimming world and I love clean eating ideas and I'll best most of it will be very slimming world friendly anyway xx
donna I have just re watched this video and you look so much better now then you do in this video. love ya and keep up the good work do what's right for you xx
I just wanted to ask a question regarding the juicing part or your plan when juicing all the fibre is removed in the pulb shouldn't you be eating that too as you will be losing alot on the nutrition
Hi Laura, great question. I found this answer for you on Quora by Sarah Cooley of Simply Curated which explains it to a tee. What you are really losing when you juice is fibre. You are removing the fibre of the fruits/vegetables and what you are left with is the juice. What's great about that is that it allows the other vitamins and nutrients found in the fruits and veggies to get into you system without your body having to do the work of digesting and breaking down all that fibre. Hope that explains it for you.
Hi Donna. I started juicing about 3 months ago, I had stuck at the three stone loss for a while. Like you I was more into the healthy eating bit. I sorted a local veg man who delivers fruit and veg every fortnight. I pay £25. I began juicing to begin with as I had a little bit left and the new box was due, lol and the habit has stuck. And in the last 3 months I have lost another stone. I think it's given me more energy and so I am moving more. Get my eggs from a local guy in my village and dig my spuds up from a field of a local farmer ( With permission). Try a diffusion cup put in your water and put fruit in the middle (not expensive), I did that when I went caffeine free. Now I panic if I don't have a bottle of fizzy water in the house. Good luck Donna I really mean that. Snack wise at the minute I am going through a crouch phase so I made home made whole meal croutons on a tray in the oven when cooking something else, I put garlic or oregano on.
I love the (with permission) bit lol :) Juicing seems to be great for energy & being iron deficient i need all the help i can get. I really like healthy foods & just need to educate myself on how to turn them into great meals. I bought lemons today to add to my water but the diffusion thing sounds fab. I like the fizzy dpring water from Lidl(so cheap). Thanks Linda & i love the sound of the croutons! x
Hi Donna, it's so spooky that I've done very similar this last week, looking into and trying out clean eating recipes, instead of juicing I've been trying out smoothies, never had them before but a new favourite of mine for weight loss is green tea, banana, avocado and ginger, it's really nice and refreshing, I've also added other ingredients to that base too like oats, spinach, mango. I'm hooked lol. I've been posting my pics on Instagram too. I love your videos, thank you for your time and effort sharing with us all, xx Milla xx
I tried slimming world because I am overweight and on the verge of type 2 diabetes. I stuck to it for about 2 weeks and felt so ill that I stopped. I have lost about 12lbs in 8 weeks by just cutting out the sugary things in my diet. (It is hard because I have a sweet tooth). I have a long way to go but my blood sugar level has come down by 2 points. Like you say, I too, think it is all about putting good healthy fruit/veg/food into your body and drinking plenty of water. If you fed fizzy pop to your plants they would die...... it's not really rocket science. I am not very active because I have spinal problems so this does not help. Good for you Donna, I wish you great success...... Debbie
I suggest checking reddit and different subreddits. The ones I use are /loseit and /progresspics. It just helps to give some encouragement and see that you're not alone in the process (a bit like group on SW) but without all the hassle!
Hi Donna many thanks for the interesting video, it will be interesting to see how you get on and hope it will start you off again on your weight loss as you so deserve to be happy with yourself. There is no better feeling than loosing weight and that is when we feel on top of the world so take care, best wishes xx
Really agree with some of your points, I have expressed those before about the pasta n sauces etc for example. I enjoyed the clean eating, i'm just stuck in the SW trap where whatever you try, your brain always relates it to SW (prob cause I have done it for so long). Good Luck with your clean eating journey!
I'm so excited for you Donna hopefully will make I feel better , also try and soak in Epsom salts once a week they will help u to detox and shed any excess water xx
Good luck with your new eating regime. To be honest, I am relieved you have stopped SW as it was apparent that diet had stopped working for you a long time ago. And it takes strength to walk away from something that we are so used to and comfortable with. So I wish you all the best Donna, and hope you see results you want very soon x
Such a lovely comment, thank you. It has made me miserable for over a year now so enough was enough. It was a very hard decision to make but making no decision has made me gain a lot of weight back. x
oh the slimming world police!....i never really liked slimming world personally. good for you to trying new things! i eat clean as much as possible and feel amazing! i even eat full fat greek yogurt!
What worried me about SW was their chocolate bars etc. If you looked at the ingredients on the label, it was quite horrifying what was in them. It didn't take me long to give up buying them. It was the same with Weight Watchers bars too. My motto is: more than five ingredients in anything is probably not good, especially if you can't pronounce some of them!!
love it Donna. I'm looking forward to seeing this and if it's good. I'd love if you could do a clean eating shopping haul as I'm very interested in this new way of eating. I'm staying in slimming world but I can see how this could work well with sw. I'm from the camp of controversial slimming worlders who do not believe in synning avocados. I might copy you in the caffeine aspartame thing I consume far too much of both. we're the same weight so I think a bit of healthy competition might kick my ass a bit as I'm a total slacker at times. delighted you are back Mrs looking fwd to tomorrow's video already.
I love that you don't syn avos ;) I'm excited to do a full shop as i'm just winging it at the moment! I will most certainly tell you all about it. I'm positive this could work with SW. I may have some caffeine free coffee when i find out what milk alternative tastes good with it & whats best to sweeten it with. It's lovely to be back & thanks so much for your continued support hun. Means the world xxx
The whole clean eating thing confuses me a little. I agree that if it's made in a factory then it it isn't great for you, if it grows in soil or lives in a field its best, and fresh. Smoothies arnt my cup of tea, but I think I pretty much clean eat from aldi/lidl with slimming world - and I've it!! Love my food. I eat chips every day from my actifry! Yum. Have you cut the wine out? That's my struggle!x
Yeah so like 5 small meals a day. I am going to snack on almonds, perhaps rice cake with banana & peanut butter(powdered healthier kind), hard boiled egg, carrot or cucumber sticks. When i have an idea of what i'm doing i'll do a snacks video.
Good luck on your new journey Donna, I don't think I could drink the juice, just the thought of apples in with kale and carrots etc gives me the heebie-jeebies lol :) x
Haha Susan, you really can't taste the kale. Carrots are quite sweet & with the apples & ginger are really nice. There are stacks of different juice recipes which i aim to try when i get into things a bit more. x
Loved that fat, sick and nearly dead documentary too, there is a sequal as well, think I saw it on Netflix. I like the sound of the new plan, think I may give it a go too as up and down with SW.
Hi Donna loving the new vids and keep them coming missed them so much. Good luck with your new plan you never give up pat yourself on the back and massive hugs from me for all your hard work. I have struggled all my life with food and like you I am always researching what to eat people like you need to be condradulated for all that you do in helping others. Thank you so much Donna 🍏 Here is a cyber apple in case you run out again lol x
Aspartame is evil ...and that's why I don't follow diets that say use artificial sweeteners ...I follow a calorie controlled diet I stick to under 2000 a day eat what I like within that amount ...obviously lots of lean protein and veggies cos they are low calorie ..but I also have rice pasta bread pots ...but controlled amounts ...and I eat cake ...not everyday but if I really want something I make sure I have the calories for it ...it's so simple and not restricting at all ...cos if I go over for say like a special event the next day I will eat less calories ...so over the course of the week it balances out ...if your main foods are lean proteins veggies and slow release carbs you'll feel satisfied and your body will be healthy ...stay away from processed chemical crap ...and fizzy pop the devils spawn ...
I gave up diet drinks and yoghurt containing aspartame a few weeks ago and the difference in my appetite is phenomenal. It's something I wish SW would be a more clued up on - the stuff is poison. Even ants won't go near it!! And they're telling people to fill up on it when it's scientifically proven to make people fat?! Hmmmm- think they need to research that particular one!! X
I've read rice cake aren't good at all....what about oat cakes? I've came across an English girl named Charlie who's got a blog called The kitchen Shed and it's all about clean eating. she's also on instagram
Wow, thats a great price Diane! I shall certainly try that as i think a hot drink in the cooler months will be nice. Thank you xxx
well done donna, it's finally clicked👍 I walked away from slimming world months ago as I felt I wasn't eating the right foods for me, I now just eat healthily using my own common sense and I won't be looking back. god I feel so much better for it too. slimming world works for a lot of people, just not me. good luck on your healthy eating journey xx
It sure has Peta :) Agree with everything & thank you xxx
I couldn't agree with this video more! I lost 3 stone in 9 months doing gym and clean eating. Love your videos so much and so glad you're back posting! xx
+Sophie Evans wow, great achievement Sophie & healthy too! Thanks for your continued support xxx
Great to hear from you xxx
so so so so happy to see you back Donna x I really wish you well,I genuinely do x
+jennifer g Aw thanks Jennifer that means a lot hun xxx
The crap is in the middle lol x
good luck hun x
I used to always do that in Morrisons. I think they invented that & called it market street. So much crap though isn't there! Thanks Jennie x
+Donna Dyble I try and get the majority of my main shop Fri. fresh stuff, but those shiny wrappers on the chocs and biscuits are so attractive!
Thank you Donna for taking the time to put all this information together. I've made the error of eating a fruit speed food breakfast and since I have retired I am putting on weight even though I m more active. So, yes, please put out your videos on all your daily meals. I have juicer so I will now go out and top up my veggies.
You're welcome Sonia! I'm learning lots more so will pass it on. Good luck with your juicing hun x
I love this and support you a million %!! cant wait to do this journey with you!! its the way forward, back to basics and common sense, It has to work!! well done for listening to your body and making the change you need! good luck!! xxxx
Aw Debbie, you've already been a great support. Thank you xxx
so happy to see you feeling like your back on the up! I think clean eating sounds fab. I always have felt weird about the whole lots of yogurt with chemicals and ready meals etc can't wait to see more from you again x
Thanks Bonnie x
Good luck Donna on your new journey nice to see you in better form glad your back 😀
Thanks Elizabeth xxx
Always here watching and supporting whatever direction you choose to go in Donna.
Lovely to hear from you Sarah, did you change your profile pic? xxx
I did yeah :) its my eye where as previously it was a a pair a drawing of lips/mouth type thing.Hope you're having a good week xx
I thought you had & knew it had red in it but couldn't remember what it was lol. Knew it was you though so thanks for sticking with me xxx
Hi, just let you know that I use a lot of avocado in smoothies and I put the other half in a food bag with a squeeze of lemon juice and it keeps fresh and brown free for a cpl of days.Good luck with the plan.
I'm going to do 5:2 with slimming world on non fasting days, good luck with your new adventure!
Thank you Rachael & good luck on yours x
Best of luck Donna, I am such a sugar addict, I find it so hard to stop the sweet treats, I wish you all the best and so nice to see Mr Dyble supporting you in the juicing x
Thanks Emma, I am researching more natural sweet treats so you can expect some yummy recipes on my channel soon. He really liked the juice :) x
Hope you're feeling better lately sweetheart, look forward to catching up on your latest vids xxx
Also!
Thanks xxx
gd luck Donna! u look after u! much love sent ur way. I will still be watching. u take care xxx
So happy to hear that Sue, thank you xxx
Totally agree with your decision, I do slimming world but try my hardest to stay as natural as possible. Really looking forward to your future videos as your previous slimming world ones have been amazing! It will be nice also to get clean info off a normal person rather than someone drilling it into me, if that makes sense... clean eating Alice is a good clean eater as well as zanna van dijk. . good luck on your journey.
Thanks for the sugestions & the compliment too :) xxx
+Wonderbene - 180lbs Weightloss Hello & welcome 😀 It's life changing isn't it xxx
Your snacks sound great! xxx
Joanne SW Journey 0o
Joanne's Slimming World Journey jj
+Donna Dyble no keep slimming down you can do it. pray and believe in Jesus. seek him
Good luck Donna, I eat loads of fruit especially after my tea and my weight loss is really slow no more than half a pound a week, I have stuck to diet religiously, and have a muller light every day, may try and reduce my fruit intake and cut out the muller lights and see if it makes a difference. I really enjoy your videos thank you. Kind regards Anne
Thanks Anne, i'd love to know if it makes a difference to your losses. Thanks for your support xxx
try the free ap "my fitness pal" and "water balance" along side your clean eating really great.
I'll leave you with an extract from their meal plan that ignited an aha-moment in me:
"There is a big difference between cheating in terms of calories, and cheating in terms of unhealthy ingredients.
I think this could be a new beginning for you Donna, loved seeing all your food and if you keep eating like this the pounds will be dropping off you! x
You're right! See todays video :) x
Good Luck Donna! I know your trying to avoid it and I don't know if they have them in the UK, but here in the States they have Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi that's also Aspartame Free! Its my go to when I want a fizzy drink and I dont feel too guilty.
Thanks Frances, not sure if they sell that here. Are there any other chemicals in it do you know? I'll keep my eyes peeled for it.
Done this today so fingers crossed. Thank you :) x
Yep, horses for courses Janet. Thanks hun x
Hi Jessica, great achievement :) My back problem comes & goes but i am going to walk a lot more. Thank you hun xx
Thanks Suzie, yes it can all be incorporated/adapted for Slimming world xx
good luck with it Donna, your right you have to do whats right for you.
i have to say you lunch looked delicious xx
I'm loving the food Lisa & check out todays video for my favourite meal yet! Thanks hun xxx
donna I have just re watched this video and you look so much better now then you do in this video. love ya and keep up the good work do what's right for you xx
+Natalie Thurston Thank you Natalie & thanks for your support xxx
Good luck! Always really inspired me, looking forward to seeing more of your new journey :) x
Thank so much :) xxxx
* meant crunch stage.
I love your videos, thank you for your time and effort sharing with us all,
xx Milla xx
Thanks Milla, your smoothies sound delicious! Whats your Instagram hun so i can follow you? x
+Donna Dyble my Instagram is xrestrictedx69,
I tried slimming world because I am overweight and on the verge of type 2 diabetes.
Thanks & i will :)
Hi Donna many thanks for the interesting video, it will be interesting to see how you get on and hope it will start you off again on your weight loss as you so deserve to be happy with yourself. There is no better feeling than loosing weight and that is when we feel on top of the world so take care, best wishes xx
+candymint Potter Thanks hun, i just want to be back in my size 16 H&M jeans by the time the weather turns xx
+Laura Rebecca W It's a learning curve X
I'm so excited for you Donna hopefully will make I feel better , also try and soak in Epsom salts once a week they will help u to detox and shed any excess water xx
Ooo great tip Stacey thank you. Any excuse for a soak. Thank you xx
It was a very hard decision to make but making no decision has made me gain a lot of weight back. x
leave the seed beside the avocado in the fridge stops it going brown
Really?! Wow thats amazing :) See how cool nature is! Thanks so much for the tip x
oh the slimming world police!....i never really liked slimming world personally. good for you to trying new things! i eat clean as much as possible and feel amazing! i even eat full fat greek yogurt!
+Lucy Hunt Thanks Lucy & i bloody love full fat greek yoghurt. Toot toot! 💋
Finding this very interesting, look forward to following your journey
Thanks Gemma x
love it Donna.
Smoothies arnt my cup of tea, but I think I pretty much clean eat from aldi/lidl with slimming world - and
I've it!! Love my food. I eat chips every day from my actifry! Yum. Have you cut the wine out? That's my struggle!x
good luck with it can you still do your shopping haul I miss those
Of course Samatha & i'm so excited to go shopping & discover new foods :) Thank you x
nice glad you are excited about shopping I really enjoyed your shopping hauls
I forgot to ask you: what do you snack on?And would it be like mid morning and mid afternoon?
Yeah so like 5 small meals a day. I am going to snack on almonds, perhaps rice cake with banana & peanut butter(powdered healthier kind), hard boiled egg, carrot or cucumber sticks. When i have an idea of what i'm doing i'll do a snacks video.
Great to see you picking up and hope you're well. I would LOVE to try that juice. Been wanting a juicer for ages, so will have to ask Santa fiance x
+Tastefully Vikkie Feeling good hun, The juice is liquid sunshine! X
by the way freeze your half avacado for a juice rather than let it go off
+Gilly B They don't get chance to go off i have half a day usually. X
Daily please Donna if it fits in with your family life I'm really interested in this 😀
Daily is fine Tess, it's just little clips so not too intrusive for us. x
glad ur back xxxxxxx
Thanks Sharon xxx
Good luck on your new journey Donna, I don't think I could drink the juice, just the thought of apples in with kale and carrots etc gives me the heebie-jeebies lol :) x
Haha Susan, you really can't taste the kale. Carrots are quite sweet & with the apples & ginger are really nice. There are stacks of different juice recipes which i aim to try when i get into things a bit more. x
i donna i think the same clean eating is much better than saying im on this diet or that diet iv also done alot of reseach thank you kathleen
Good luck! I really hope it works for you. I shall be watching with interest to see how it goes! :)
Thank you x
looks good Donna...looking forward to your vlogs again😊x
Thanks Fiona x
Hi Donna. Niomi Smart and Jess beautician are both great for nutritious natural food.
Thanks Sharon, i'll add them to my list x
and I meant to say I would love to see daily vlogs👍 or whenever you can manage will be fine too😊xx
Daily it is my love x
I have a Nutri Ninja Auto Q it's brilliant for fruit & veg & every juice or smoothie turns out completely smooth.
I may invest in a better juicer Caroline but for now i will get use out of my old one. Yours sounds great though.
Loved that fat, sick and nearly dead documentary too, there is a sequal as well, think I saw it on Netflix. I like the sound of the new plan, think I may give it a go too as up and down with SW.
It's eye opening isn't it. Small changes hun x
daily please Donna good luck
We can do it my friend! x
We absolutely can x
Love to see daily blogs
I just wondered is celery full of sugar because I eat a full one every week
I wouldn't know Alison as i detest the stuff. Google is your friend here.
Daily please Donna xx
Hi Donna loving the new vids and keep them coming missed them so much. Good luck with your new plan you never give up pat yourself on the back and massive hugs from me for all your hard work. I have struggled all my life with food and like you I am always researching what to eat people like you need to be condradulated for all that you do in helping others. Thank you so much Donna 🍏 Here is a cyber apple in case you run out again lol x
Aw thanks Susan. I'll take that cyber apple lol x
+lalpops Totally agree & what you do sounds sensible to me x
I gave up diet drinks and yoghurt containing aspartame a few weeks ago and the difference in my appetite is phenomenal. It's something I wish SW would be a more clued up on - the stuff is poison. Even ants won't go near it!! And they're telling people to fill up on it when it's scientifically proven to make people fat?! Hmmmm- think they need to research that particular one!! X
Daily love this ! X
Thanks Carla x
I'm glad. The healthy fat should really help with depression. Best of luck to you xxx
Really Lisa, thats great to hear! Thank you xxx
