I like how Grimes is reaching across to the keyboard and her control pad and doing all this stuff while the other guy is just hitting a button every minute or so.
I think he is just playing the loops. To be honest with you, Electronic music is not like live instruments where you are constantly moving arms and fingers. In Electronic music you just loop instruments and it comes out as a full song. If you dont understand what iam talking about then i cant really explain it and you wont understand what iam saying. Electronic music is kind of easy to produce. Anybody could do once they get the concept, but for the people who dont understand it seems hard and lightyears away to them to be able to produce a beat/song, but its actually not the case.
he's probably doing a lot more than it may seem, though. He's handling like all the percussive elements as well as the mixing of all the elements and some of her vocal effects.

Years later she actually said the people on stage with her never had their instruments plugged in. It was all for show because back then people didn’t think it could be *just* one girl doing the whole thing. That it had to be a band or group of some sorts. But she is doing it all herself. If you watch other live performances, you’ll see

I remember stumbling upon this stage in the middle of her set. I was a bit high and I kid you not I thought Grimes and her dancers were fairies and it felt like we were in a forest. This stage is surrounded by giant oak trees. The feminine energy was hypnotic it was a beautiful set.

@@rebeccaa7471 It would have been alright if the one girl wasn't so in the forefront in front of Grimes, the audience didn't come there to see her barely move during most parts and others she just flailed around. They should of stayed behind and even if they did whatever they called what they were doing in the back it wouldn't of probably even been noticeable. I just think if I ever get the chance to see Grimes, I would want to be there to watch her sing and play. Though I have noticed it is a theme of her concerts to have 2 female sometimes male as well dancers on stage. They usually have more rhythm than these ones. That one girl just was either very tired or very something else, Lol!

I was on the second row and while I loved watching Grimes perform I do agree that the atmosphere for the crowd was subpar. I was on the second row and I coulnd't literally move an inch with all the people squeezed in and I definitely felt a little dizzy towards the end. Seeing her again in DC in late September so hopefully that'll go better!
