To give everyone context, Qld is home of the Great Barrier Reef that Australia is famous for, as well as most of our tropical islands. These areas are minimum 100nm offshore. There's also the Torres Strait....
To give context, the continental shelf is between 25 and 60 nm off shore. The reef is contained from shore to that shelf, in some area's in the far north, like Lockhart River, you can swim to the reef from shore.
@noname-nd8ec bugger swimming anywhere near that river! 🐊 The point was that qld has a huge coastline, and the associated offshore areas that would require overnight accommodation. It's not patrolling Sydney harbour
In this case it's the QLD Government. Given how many islands there are in the parks it does make sense to have some landing capability. Especially around the Whitsunday/Great Barrier Reef marine parks.
Beautiful example of a very well thought out & executed design strategy …👍🏻
All nice but where do I put the auto gun cannons...for self defense...
I remember riding on Norman Wright boats when my Dad worked at Tangalooma 1950's

it is fantastic , but is this vessel using 17 liter of diesel for NM ?
Nicely appointed. Very utilitarian, but versatile.
What the cost? Ballpark?
What are they mostly used for?
Seems like a lot of boat in small space!
What is the consumption at 12 kts?
How much is this boat?
What is its range
Price
Nice boat.
Looks like it can carry a small pickup/Ute or 2. Or 3 picknik tables and bar b ques. Its a fancy dive boat/party boat.
Base model ....ball park how much.
Looks like a money maker up in Alaska
Welcome to the marines.
I did not come for a music video.
Then go away!
Looks really good .... but just what is the target user??

I'd live on it and travel the world 🌍

This is reminiscent of the Austal WFSVs of the earlier offshore windfarm developments in the UK⚓️⚓️🤣🤣
Take a couple side by sides island hopping
Wow! Tax funded holiday on water.
if you need to ask for the price, then its too expensive?
What this boat for? Why need berthing and not just day head?

beautiful boat but just another example of government waste that the taxpayers are paying for!
looks top heavy with a overpriced tag
