@Bernie Lomax When I watched it as a kid in the 80s, I didn't pay attention to which companies produced stuff. I just watched them. It wasn't until the late 90s when I rediscovered the series that I found out it was a Disney product
I didn't either. I wrote Beuna Vista, this show was only on for 1..one, season. I want the 80s back!! I had a coloring book when I was a kid..& Bumble Lion 🐝 🦁 and Hoppoums..❤😍 the 80s!! :)
Never even knew this existed. My first reaction was that Disney made a show about the characters from Pooh's dream in the movie. This kind of has a proto-Disney Afternoon vibe to it. Disney shows were so good in those days. Duck Tales. The New Adventures of WTPooh, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Tale Spin...
In Germany, at least one episode played in theaters. It was included with a re-release of Peter Pan. In the United Kingdom, a Gummi Bears episode played in theaters with Pinocchio.
You should show it to today's kids. It never occurs to most people that a show doesn't have to be as modern as possible (let alone generic) in order for today's kids to enjoy it. I wanna encourage modern age kids to watch old shows and not just reboots.
Lawd, I miss the 80's. I had the Eleroo stuff animal & I think the Bumble Lion one. I used to stuff junk in Eleroo's pouch. Ok. That didn't sound quite right, LOL.
My mom had a VHS recording of a single episode. It was the Money Tree Seed one. Absolutely loved it and would watch it repeatedly. I always thought the entire premise of two animals into one was a charming idea, especially with puns like a rich Tiger Racoon named Tycoon.
I watched this show as a kid, I still like it now. It's a shame it only lasted one season, but the voice actor for Moosle died and they didn't want to replace him. I also had no clue that was Stan Freberg as the narrator. I discovered him with the Dr. Demento show in the early 90s!
Same here. It wasn’t until RUclips that I found out it was Stan Freberg’s version of Nuttin’ For Christmas that I love. I actually broke the Christmas Through The Years cassette tape because I kept rewinding it to listen to it over and over 😂
@@gailmccormack1136 First time I heard Nuttin' For Christmas was from the Dr. Demento Christmas cassette someone I knew had. And they also had the Christmas Through The Years cassettes as well!
I have an idea. How about you write fanfics about them? Sometimes when I read fanfics, I feel like it actually happened to the characters. I still get drawn into the universe and I plan to write fanfics myself someday.
🤠 The wuzzles, oh my goodness I remember this like it was yesterday. Laughing out loud, this cartoon was so epic and yes it was a shame that it didn't get another season or they didn't do a lot more episodes for this. There's rumors of a reboot but I don't care about that. I'd rather have the original, for sure. Miss watching this and I still enjoy the song too.
Disney's first all animated series. Though they did have animation sprinkled in some of the episodes of Disneyland series and Mickey did appear in animation for The Mickey Mouse Club.
I'm Facebook friends with Brian Cummings. He also announced several VHS trailers from the 90s. Alan Oppenheimer was the voice of Skeletor and a few characters in The Neverending Story.
@@user-ph6nx2xg9v 3 years later... they didnt, sigh... when ever will disney bring back good shows?!? oh wait, they'll never bring back the old-school shows, never ever ever ... :/

I wished more of my past favourites Disney Series like Wuzzles, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Mighty Ducks, House of Mouse, Kim Possible, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules and American Dragon Jake Long are finally released onto complete DVD at last just like original The Proud Family Series as it's going to be released on 15th March.
another neat cartoon re disability culture is the cartoon adaptation of 'teen wolf' Scott Howard (who now lives in Wolverton with his dad and an added-in sister and grandparents) can feel right before he wolfs out like some people can before they have a full blown seizure. he feels off and has to learn to manage his triggers. Since that cartoon was also produced in the 1980's Scott is only allowed to attend public school, his dad had to start his own business in order to make money, and the local mayor is allowed to harass them for who they are. But one episode showed that family visiting a farm where the animals could sense the family was 'different' like some animals can sense when humans are about to have a seizure. It was my favorite cartoon bc I had epilepsy growing up. Shame children today do not have cartoons esp like these.
And nowadays, it's ukulele, small bells, bad whistles. So annoying hearing the same music style for every generic TV show, movie, and commercial and everywhere you go. I despise the digital age.
Call me an edgelord if you must but I want to inflict Genocide upon the Wuzzles. I want to see Martian fighting machines striding across wuzz incinerating the Wuzzles. I want a species of sapient wombats to shell wuzz bear from a fleet of battleships. I don't know why
Loved watching this as a kid and still have some of my Wuzzles plushies. For the longest time though, I didn't realize that this was a Disney cartoon.
The fact that it said Disney’s Wuzzles was too oblique for you?
I had a bumblelion plushie!

Yes I remember seeing an episode in the cinema in the UK in the 80s, I'm pretty sure it was before Bambi
I had a Wuzzles lunchbox and thermos 🤣 I wish I still owned it
Here's another show i adored when I was little! Man I'm glad my mom showed me these kinds of shows she used to watch, they're really good!

Still have my Butterbear teddy ♥️
Butterbear is a sweetheart.
"Split personality " lol they could never get away with that nowadays
I hope this comes onto Disney+ soon
No, @andrewkang7157. It won't.
Philadelphia television station WCAU CHANNEL 10 (then a CBS affiliate) aired this cartoon in 1985, then it was moved to WPVI Channel 6 ABC.
Wow this is so old what a classic

Back when Disney was filled with Joy, fun and laughter with these cartoons ... Now a days it ain't the same
I LOVED The Wuzzles! Still upset they didn't make many episodes. I can remember watching the repeats over and over hoping they would show new episodes
Watch Centaurworld on Netflix for a modern update of it, with a gritty edgy isekai makeover, that is.

Me too.
Am here bc a game staff from a game I play mentioned this and I'm here to learn a content from the past!!!❤
Dear Disney, Please release this on iTunes!
I loved this show! I found a great Butterbear doll at a garage sale years ago, but my late mother either donated it or tossed it out.
This is one of first pre pixar era of the Disney studio cartoon shorts

My mom claims I used to watch this show all the time, but I can only remember one episode.
Somehow I had one episode on recorded VHS. Watched it like a hundred times (born in late 1985).
this is mainly well known for the 1st disney telivision animation show and the fact this is alot like care bears
I know they weren't as popular, but I would watch this show, I already like the intro.
I've heard they were very popular in the United Kingdom. By the way, here's a link to a petition for a Wuzzles reboot.

This show was originally going to be titled "Jumble Isle".
Disney had the best Theme songs they were always like mini pop songs.
I remember having a wuzzles placemat. I was all a it thundercats and transformers but wuzzles was good
I had a plushie of moosel for most of my childhood and never knew what it was from until now

This hasn’t even made it to Disney+ yet :(
What a positive way of talking about split personality disorder or schizophrenia.

Sometimes the one can never be replicated. 🤗
Rumor has it that it was because of the death of voice actor Bill Scott (original voice of Bullwinkle).
Bumblebee Lion
Butterfly Bear
Elephant Kangaroo
Rhino Monkey
Rabbit Hippopotamus
Moose Seal
Crocodile Dinosaur
Boar Dragon
Frog Lizard
Another great wuzzle would be...
a little girl
and a dog!
Big brother Edward...
I wonder if this show was subtly designed to give confidence to children with mixed heritage.
I have many postals of Wuzzles.
Hehe, even cartoon theme songs had synth keyboards and huge drums in the 1980s.

I remember the cartoon and the toys. Seems the show didn't last long.
The only reason this show ended so soon was because one of the voice actors died.

No, I don't think there were any obvious romantic relationships in the show, although IIRC Bumblelion was closer friends with Butterbear.
